Admittedly, this interview was about as intense as something you would see on Larry King or Access Hollywood with Billy Bush. Yes, Jonathan paid for dinner, no, we weren't offered free weekends at their spa. I think we have established that we don't hold back if we see celebrities in person and they behave like idiots. They didn't ask to read the article before we posted it, and nobody should believe that we won't take the time to skewer them if they show up on TV and are acting the same way.

Victoria wore black pinstripe pants and a tank top. Another surprising thing about Victoria is that she ate all of her food - salad, fish, and vegetables. This may seem like a minor detail, but in LA, it is rare to see girls chow more than a salad, especially if they are celebrities and/or models. It just doesn't happen. And she didn't even leave the table to use the bathroom at any point - another rare Los Angeles occurrence (i.e. - no time for post dinner bulimia)

what a surreal moment this must have been. hats off to b-side and j-unit for being good sports by rewarding team J-V with this unexpected bit of character rehabilitation. this certainly does not rank alongside the sheepish glad-handling of last summer's run-in with jase and holly, since a) jon and victoria seem to take themselves far less seriously than the loathsome jase and b) team J-V has suffered sufficient scorn in the media and manipulation at the hands of ruthless reality TV producers (shame on you, Dr. Phil!) to merit a little generosity from the snarkosphere.

and i think it's safe to admit at this point that we were primed to hate jonathan before the show even aired just for being an unremarkable loudmouth lucky enough to be married to a woman hot enough to pass the Hef-test, and would likely have despised him a lot less if he'd shoved charla or even kelly the passive-aggressive beauty queen instead of the lovely (less lovely when sobbing uncontrollably, but still lovely) victoria. we might even have liked it.

I hope if they are happy together they are together forever. But it is definetly not the type of relationship I want to have. Big deal, you're under pressure, it doesn't give you an excuse to push someone or yell at them. And Victoria's whining was disgusting.
They made themselves the evil ones on that show. Editing didn't and neither did Phil, Puhleaze.

I clearly remember that when J pushed V it was after Freddy and Kendra already made it to the mat. He was not trying to motivate her, he was trying to punish her. Also, if you are on a reality show and somebody tells you that you make "great tv", that is NOT a compliment. The a**holes are the ones that make the shows fun to watch.

If she weren't with him, Victoria probably wouldn't bug me at all. He just makes me so ill that it's a guilt by association kinda thing. They were NOT fun to watch together on the race... far too much screeching. I actually had to start taping the race so that I could fast forward through their scenes. They gave me migraines. I was afraid that AR had jumped the shark thanks to them but fortunately this season earned my love back.

And I'm sorry but calling Phil a MF? That rubs me the wrong way totally -- he actually defended them for quite a while (much to my confusion) before finally confessing during a press event that he wasn't unhappy that they'd been eliminated and that their shtick had worn him out. (I did think it was funny to watch Phil on the Insider Videos egging Jonathan on as he babbled about how Italy was a wonderful country when he wasn't in Italy, though. That was pretty hysterical.)

Moral of the story: MOVE TO CANADA ALREADY, JONATHAN! Go away, ya fame whore!

As for J &V. I have to agree with hannahthehun and Helenann. Shoving your wife is never acceptable behavior. Frustration motivation, whatever his excuse is, it's a cop out. He really crossed the line when he did that and I'm always going to think negatively about him as a result, no matter how much of a "reality TV whore" he is, repeating his weak-ass defenses to anyone who'll listen.

Awesome interview guys. Loved J&V from the beginning. Friends in Canada love them. After hearing all the suppport and defense of J&V from other racers from their season, I'm not surprised that you guys had an awesome dinner with them. It's good to see who the real J&V are, and as you guys said, they aren't this 'crazy couple' the media has made them out to be.

Being two-faced is never a good trait. I remember Phil talking praise about them during the show and even a bit after,then the media turned its head on J&V, and its like his opinion totally changed. Hmmm.., the power of media. At least, the other racers aren't like that.

I have yet to see one interview and or TV show where he comes off as even halfway likable. So either you guys have totally wussed out (to steal a phrase used earlier)..or we are all puppets in the hands to TV editors regardless of the show. I loved the interview guys. I now feel sorry for J&V for what CBS put them though. I belive the edit was as bad as Jonathan said. Thank you for bring out the truth. I wish them both good luck with their fame whoring.

I don't know if anyone else here was there for it, but during their turn on Amazing Race J&V used to troll around the TAR boards saying really nice things about themselves under assumed names. They were kicked off of TWOP more than once, and because their spelling had certain patterns and their sentence structure was unique they ended up being easily spotted on other sites too. (Also easily spotted because, besides the bad grammar & spelling, they were the only people saying positive things like "I like the blue hair guy! He makes exciting tv! He dose seem lucky, he's married to a Playmate!")

Anyhow, I digress. I hate to say this, but I seem to recognize their sentence structure in a post or two above (the spelling is thankfully improved). Of course, I could be wrong, but if J knew this post was going to be up I find it hard to imagine that he could resist his old habits. He doesn't appear to be a "moving on" kinda guy. His old posts made it clear that he desperately needs to be loved even if he has to make it up himself.

Its only because people believed because a person made some spelling mistake or grammar mistake that other people fell into it, and also believed anyone else who did the same were actually J/V who were posting under a different name. Who doesn't make spelling/grammar mistakes? Hera, who supports Jonathan on a different board discussing this same interview, has had spelling mistakes that she was called out on. I believe there was a wide mass banning of people regardless of whether there was a spelling mistake or not if someone supported J/V like I did. I was unfairly banned for showing my support, and another time made a small spelling mistake, and was instantly accused of being Jonathan. Puh.leez. This has happened in several different boards. Its a sad state of affairs when people speculate.

What's so bad about J/V in real life. They've spent holidays with Jon and Kris in Cabo not too long ago, and people from their season, and others have supported them as well. Obviously, they ain't that bad.

I find it hard to believe that you could identify someone by their typos/sentence structure.
But I wouldn't put it past Jonny-boy make fake posts. He does seem to have this endless urge to keep throwing himself in the public eye so he can dish out excuse #1,295 for his abhorrent behavior.
And what is this "raised voice" bullshit? Would make sense if he were promoting a charity, but all he seems to be interested in doing is talking about himself and what a raw deal he thinks he's been dealt.

I don't think that it was all editing, because Jonathon had to say and do the things they showed. The editing can put things in a context that makes it look even worse, but some of the ways he talked and acted couldn't have been appropriate in any context. The editing also left out the good moments he had, which gave the impression that he was bad all the time, but still, at least part of the time he was doing and saying the things they showed on tv, and that is his own fault. Anyone going on a reality show knows full well that they will be filmed and that editors like to chop things up for good tv, yet Jonathon chose to use insults, rage, and lots of screaming with his wife. That was his choice and his doing, not the editors'.

Normally I would agree with you guys about speculating and such. But when five different people misspell "does" as "dose" and they are writing consecutively similar comments from the same ISP it kinda adds up. With anyone else, I'd think it was ridiculous... Jonathan is a unique individual to say the least.

I think most of what is being said by you all is BLA BLA BLA, the story was great fun and interesting to say the least. Jonathan and Victoria come out of Hollywood so would you expect somthing different from them. Look at all the big stars they all have drama around them. Cruse is gay? Slater is abuser? Do you belive everything you see? You know, I'm not a jonathon & Victoria fanboy -- actually, I hated them -- But I really believe this interview, seeing as how the site has shown hatred towards them and after actually GETTING TO KNOW THEM, put them in a positive light! He could have said "they were assholes, assholes", but he definitely put them in a positive light for a good reason.

I agree 100%. You can't edit what doesn't exist. Jonathan DID do and say every one of those things. I'm certain that we saw many things out of context, however I can't imagine what the "right" context would be for some of his behavior. He's a loser and no amount of editing can change that.

Ever the thought occur that the person who spelt 'does' wrong was a person who supports Jonathan, and their family and friends using the same computer, or that the person set up another account in case they got banned for supporting J&V. Well, that's what happened to me. Banned for supporting a team.

Jonathan did do and say those things, but if that's all thats showed, the image people get is that's how he is in real life, which he isn't, and which other racers can attest. The race and real life is two different environments. The two don't go hand in hand.

Hera said Victoria was yelling, and being as mean to Jonathan just as much. It was never shown. That's the power of editing for you. If they edited it to just show Victoria being mean to Jonathan, then she would be labeled the abuser or will she get off scot free just like the people who have done far worse things to their partner?

Aaron: called Hayden Bitch plenty of times and threw a backpack at her.

Hayden: was being mean, screaming at Aaron, locals, and even managed to push Bolo and insult his height and brought up steroid allegations.

Bolo: slapped Lori across the face, as they both swore up a storm.

Adam: shoved aside a crying Rebecca to sit beside her.

I guess Jonathan gets all the grief, while others who have done far worse acts get a free pass. Yeah, it makes a lot of sense to me.

I don't think Jonathan is a loser and after this story it only confirms that CBS had it in for him from the start.

Deekeryu, almost every TAR fan thought the season with JV was terrible all around and disliked the other racers you cited. Jonathon was the more extreme example of the bad behavior and acted that way with his own wife, but Freddy and Kendra, Aaron and Hayden, Bolo and Lori, Adam and Rebecca, etc. were all pains, too. Few if any longtime TAR fans could stand anyone that season except for maybe Kris and Jon. No one got "a free pass" from fans.

Disliking how Jonathan acted in no way gives a free pass to the other cast members Deekeryu mentioned. I thought they all acted badly.
However, Jonathan's the only one I keep seeing months later still trying to soak up media attention and talk about himself.

Sorry, but people like Hayden, Aaron, Bolo, Adam, etc. got a free pass to me because they never got accused of such a serious crime when in fact their own actions were far more serious than whatever Jonathan did to Victoria. All people should get equal treatment, yet Jonathan is always attacked. Who wouldn't get upset if people treated each seperate person differently. See how you would feel if you were treated that same way.

And its just like that, why all the focus on Jonathan? Victoria had dinner with them too. He's not talking about themself. They're talking about the race, and if they are being asked questions about themselves, they'll answer it.

Jonathan is always attacked because HE PUTS HIMSELF OUT THERE TO BE ATTACKED.
HE CALLED TVGasm asking them to interview him, they didn't call him. Months after we just want him to go away and never hear from him again, he's still media whoring it up, yapping it up about himself.
If Bolo, Hayden, Aaron, Adam, or any of the others had hit every media outlet who would have them, and solicited TVGasm to interview them months after their show aired so they could proclaim how wonderful they are for the millionth time, I'd be equally disgusted.

Jonathan called them for an interview so what. He has as much right as any other reality person out there to set the record right. So what if he want to be media whore. Some of us like him why is that so hard to understand. He is creative, successful and is trying to make things right. Can you say this for the other reality stars.

If a million people went in and complained about letting an 'abuser' on the show to CBS, when this is totally untrue in real life, then who wouldn't want to set the record straight just like Jim said, and tell the truth. If I was similarily accused with such a serious crime like that when in fact I was completely innocent, you'd be sure I would be setting the record straight and defending myself. If I'm accused of something, why should I go on in life pretending I'm going accept people believeing a crime I never committed? Why should the innocent be played the victim? I think people should be reasonable enough to rationalize that the things that happened on TV, and real life are different, and people can see that difference.

I think J and V got the worst edit of any racer through all 7 seasons of the race thus far. Sure, J&V were both over the top, but just like Hera said, there have been many instances of other racers behaving badly that the American public would deem inappropiate with that footage never shown. I think every racer should be edited to look equally comparable. I know this is impossible and won't never happen, but I think its easy to understand that the things that happened in the race are not a judge of a person's true character.

I personally like the name Robber better than Romber. (Robber! lol)

Every TV show needs a villain or antagonist, and TAR6 had Jonathan, just like TAR5 had Colin and TAR1 had Team Guido. TV has to be interesting to get viewers.
