The best part about living in Hollywood is that the line between TVgasm and reality often blurs. For instance, today, as I headed to the gym, I found myself in ridiculous traffic. Surely this was just typical afternoon gridlock in Los Angeles, but no. The swarm of helicopters in the sky above me made me realize I had stumbled into something big. Something very big. I then looked to the left, and DUH, I was sitting right next to the Kodak Theatre, home of the American Idol finale. Conveniently, it was 4:25 pm -- about half an hour before showtime and just when the red carpet seemed to be at its peak. The downside though was that I didn't get to see any wayward stars (last night's show featured Roseanne Barr. Grrrrrowl!) Still, to prove my self-worth as a roving blogger, I snapped this thoroughly indistinct photo (see above) of the paparazzi AND a new Mustang. SWEET!

(Carrie got the religious right's votes with her Angel bs -- you know they don't want to think about a man being someone's "vehicle, baby"...)
No one in the audience seemed to be happy either.
This once I wish AI would have fudged the results.

Well, two others have posted...so I technically not a 'spoiler'. Carrie sux...Bo rocks...its that simple. I got to thinking...do you think that 'single' was really written for someone like Bo? Hell no, it was banked on Carrie winning it and singing it. The song blows chuncks...hardcore.
The middle stuff was good, that star spangled banner chick was horrible, but quite funny! No one expected her to come out! And the whole ABC spoof thing was great, too.
Mikala, I want to shoot you. (nuff said)
Hopefully, Bo's record deal won't leave him singing crap, and has some control over what he sings. AND, the fuckers got a hot ride to boot. Can he sell that for some drugs???

please please please tell me that i am not imagining this...at the end of the first hour, when seacrest (out) was with all three judges, simon went to pat him on the back and seacrest grabbed his hand, forcibly removed it off his lower back, and restrained it against the chair for the rest of that segment. apparently bo didn't warn simon that you cannot touch the seacrest.

I just rewatched it on Tivo, and Seacrest definitely had another anti-affection moment as noted above.

I also live in Hollywood, and most evenings I jog past Hollywood and Highland. At 6:30 tonight they were breaking down stuff and across the street was some sort of ENTOURAGE party so the area was filled with photogs and tourists.

I agree...Bo should have won. I tried calling in all night on ALL three numbers and couldn't get through to vote for him, while I friend of mine said she was able to get through to vote for Carrie 20+ times. I thought that this was a sure sign that more people were voting for Bo cause his lines were jammed. Now I am wondering if it is a conspiracy and they somehow made it harder to get through for him cause he ROCKS and should have won!

spark, no Bo didn't. He sang that Long Road song while Carrie sang the Angels Brought Me Here song. They both sang the Inside your Heaven song, but their other songs were different. Anyway, I was upset Bo lost, but now that I think about it, I prefer him to sing something besides that stupid Inside Your Heaven dreck anyway.

That IS one downside of living in Hollywood.
I work in Burbank and live in Hollywood. What normally is a 10 minute drive tops from my work turned into a 45 minute drive yesterday.
But I just gotta be thankful that I beat the rush to whatever Hollywood Bowl event was happening. I'd still probably be stuck in traffic if that were the case.
