BUT FIRST: A photo with the fans. Chenbot-ilicious!

Last week was upfronts time -- the big, annual event when the networks unveil and preview their fall lineups. Of course, it's never as simple as that. This ain't no Power Point demonstration. Upfronts come with a fresh dose of pomp and circumstance. Networks haul out singers and dancers, renting out lavish facilities (Radio City Music Hall, Lincoln Center) and throwing major parties in the process. As one of the added benefits for us, the stars usually come out to play too, and luckily, some of our secretly embedded TVgasm fans / cousins were able to infiltrate the CBS upfronts. Not only were these ravishing damsels able to see all the action up close, but they managed to find the TVgasm Holy Grail (note the Chenbot, above). They also snapped a shot with The Hippies, Jeric, and Raylonda from The Amazing Race. That image (along with a brief description of the event) after the jump.

Our reporters in the field say: "FYI – BJ was very nice but Tyler was pretty strange.  A few people walked by them and yelled 't’tao' – they got so excited.  And as I told you on the phone, Chenbot was very nice and she wants Janelle and Kaysar back."

There you have it! Julie Chen endorses the reelection of Janelle and Kaysar back into the Big Brother house!

It is my greatest hope that you break out the Chenbot "buttfirst"...er, I mean "but first" montage from last year to celebrate the return of Big Brother. I swear I dragged everyone I work with into my office to play it for them last summer. Even the non-BBers loved it.

Once AI is over this week, I'll be in full throttle BB countdown mode. Nothing says summer like the Chenbot and TVgasm!

Nice to see the hippies are still wearing their prison issue flaming orange trousers. Not letting the loot go to their heads I guess. Or maybe they really are smelly grubbers. How was Tyler strange? I must have more details.

My bf used to work on Julie Chen at his salon and he said that she told him about the BB All-Stars months ago. He said she's really nice and taller than you'd think.

How was Tyler strange? And did we ever find out of those boys were really queer?

I've avoided watching BB for years. To me, the thought of people sitting around the house and occasionally shagging on camera just seemd so ??? I mean, why should I sit around my apartment and get worked up over watching other people sit around a house?

But it's time for me to put my money where my mouth is, and investigate this phenomenom myself. I guess I'll start by diving into the reams and reams of TVGasm Big Brother Archives so that I can get a feel for the show...cover me, I'm going in!

Oh my God! You're famous! The Chenbot phenomenon got a shout out in this morning's Page Six:

MACHINE HEAD

IS "Big Brother" hostess Julie Chen actually an android? An Internet compilation clip of CBS boss Les Moonves' wife robotically uttering the phrase "but first" has led some to dub her "The Chenbot" - and even she seems to agree. "My best friend from college called one day and said, 'They call you "the Chenbot" on the Internet. You're like a robot,' " Chen tells Entertainment Weekly. "And I'm like, 'What?!' I watched that Internet compilation of every 'but first' I've said on 'Big Brother.' You know, my inflections are the same every single time. The turn is the same every single time. The facial expressions are the same every time. I am the Chenbot!"
