The OC returns to Fox tonight, and while Marissa Cooper may have been violently killed off last season, her memory will forever remain, thanks to her countless, clunky iterations of the word "Hey." We never knew one simple syllable could be said so awkwardly in so many different ways, but leave it up to master thespian Mischa Barton to break the boundaries that lesser men simply could not even dare to touch. Bravo, Ms. Barton. Your legacy has touched us all, and to honor your contributions to mankind, we present this compilation of every single "Hey" uttered by Mischa during season three of The OC in chronological order (although, to be fair, we omitted about four or five that were borderline indecipherable). Enjoy.

lol I never knew saying Hey could sound so awkward after so many times...

The premier was cool. I kinda had a different flavor without Mischa. Going through myspace you can see the whole episode on Fox before it airs.

absolutely genius! 2nd only to the american idol/oc hybrid back in the day (my fav clipgasm ever). however, i was hoping for a dubbed "hey" as her last breath...
