Gordon Is Happy. So F@*!#ING Happy. -
by B-side
Anyway, it was time for the results. The tuna was the most popular dish, receiving votes from Buffy, Ralph's mom, Uncle Richard, Courtney, and Michael's mother-in-law. The beef came in second place with votes from Jessica's mom, Michael's wife, and Michael's father-in-law. Alas, poor Jessica only received one vote, and it came from her sister Bonnie. With that, Gordon gently swung the ax, saying "Darling, please give me your jacket." And because Gordon is never afraid to lay on the schmaltz, he added, "You have every reason to smile because you've been amazing. And I mean that." Finally, Gordon summed up by saying, "Strong, clever, feisty, and never short of a word. I like that in a woman." To which Jessica replied, "Me too."

After a long kiss and hug, Jessica finally departed (through the front door, no less!), and we were left with our two finalists: Ralph and Michael. So two professional cooks make it to the finals. I never would have guessed! Who's cuisine will reign supreme? Will it be the modern Los Angeles fare of Michael or the classic New York style of Ralph? ALLEZ CUISINE!
What did you think? Are you happy with the finalists?

I'm so glad Elsie didn't make it, I was dreading that for awhile since Gordon was crushing on her. I thought she had a mustache so I can understand the attraction. All the signifigant others were hotter than I'd suspected and the suspense when Jessica's loved ones came in was great; is it her mother or her older dyke lover? Apple didn't fall far from the tree there, wait can I use the apple/tree analogy with lesbo mothers and daughters?

We need to start a contest. The "guess the gasm screen capture". Because this week I cleaned up. I actually said out loud to no one in particular when jess did the wedgie pull "THatll be on tvgasm in about 24 hours". Same with Ralphs insanely large breasted fiance puking up her food. How she can put up with that creepy smile is beyond me.

No wonder Ralph's got a boner, must have been thinkin' about Buffy.
Yeah, I didn't expect Jessica to be a lesbian either. I just thought she was a sloppy dresser with a Gordon-esque haircut.
Yes, nothing unsexier than Jessica in boxer shorts, scratching her crack. Jeesh! We did not need to see that!
Michael's girlfriend apparently is an east side LA gangbanger, well, looks like that from the tats.

ALLEZ ! CUISINEZ !
That is the way it should read.

Well, maybe in grammatically correct French, but "Allez cuisine" is actually a reference to Iron Chef. It's what they say at the beginning of every battle.

B-Side-
Beautiful mental picture--
"The perfect soufflé." We then cut to Spartan Spirit cheerleaders Craig and Arianna. "You know what this game needs, Craig?" THE PERFECT SOUFFLÉ!
I peed just a little trying not to laugh out loud and get myself busted!
Bloody well done!

When I saw Jessica slipping and sliding and not knowing what the ** to do, it brought back memories of how "they " messed up Elsie. Except no one jumped in to help her
I never see ANY of those chefs wash their hands or use any thing to show sanitary precautions (alittle a hair in your souffle?)
this should be interesting, Chris is creative , Ralph knows how to cook but G Ram has shown he dislikes him more than once
and we all know both of them scheme and are backstabbers,
ALLEZ CUISINE!!!!!! (good review b side!)

How the HELL did I miss Jessica digging the wedge out of her crack?? Hilarious screencap.
I'm pulling for Spider now because that damn Ralph gives me the creeps. And did I miss something.. Jessica.. a lesbot?

I wonder if Gordon would have hugged Jessica so tightly if he knew he had "ASS HANDS" draped around his neck.

Jessica's girlfriend liked the tuna....duh!
Elsie's long hair waving around all over the food grossed me out...gah...get a hairnet or something.

ah, someone beat me to the "jessica's girlfriend liked the tuna" line.
but i'm still the first to point out that ralph chose the meat!

Allez cuisine and Allez cuisinez mean different things.
Go to the kitchen! and Go cook! respectively. I think it should be Allez la cuisine, though. Forgive the Chairman.
My french isn't great. So, I might be wrong.

I always thought it was "hi kee-zane!" so seeing it actually mean something, anything, is a nice switch.

Speaking of Ralph's creepy smile, did anyone else think it looked especially toothy tonight, as if he had veneers put on? I just read the most recent issue of US magazine, and in it, they ask chef Ramsey who he thinks is the best chef, and he says RALPH!
Posted by: bea | July 27, 2005 10:24 AM(#14 of 29)
I always thought the Iron Chef guy said " HAYYYYAAA GEEZERS !!!
And it was better when the chinese guy "translated" ( made up ) for us.
Bea, did Ramzay say " Ralph " or was he making throw-up noise ---'ROLFFFFF"?

Did anyone notice the intro? When they show the contestants one by one, G-Ram either shakes his head, does nothing, or nods his head to each one. The only one he nods his head to is Michael. Is it a hint?
Posted by: timbob3461 | July 27, 2005 10:57 AM(#16 of 29)
I think intro producers have never rigged show intros. We tried to come up with a theory of black & white vs color footage of Apprentice candidates, and came up with bupkis.

After watching this show it makes me never want to eat out again! Between the nasty hands all over the place and, in agreement with JaneDoh, hair everywhere - eeewww! I don't know if everyone's joking but the gaydar more than beeped with Jessica... very sterotypical if you ask me. I hope Michael wins. I don't know why, but I just like him better than Ralph. Plus, Ralph creeps me out.

Yeah Dewberry is back next week!

I always wondered why they didnt make elsie where some type of hat. It was gross that her hair was flinging all over the place.
My votes for Michael. Ralph is creepy!

I'm sorry, I meant wear

I agree, the sanitary practices (or lack there of) are disgusting. Especially when they wipe the sweat off their face. (Remember Jimmy, and JP telling him to stop touching himself?!)
Can't wait to see Dewberry again!

Excuse me, but his name is now "Mr. Belgian Man".

Next week will be Elsie's big chance to return last week's backstab. Chris probably has a score to settle, too. I hope the finale is a complete disaster for both Ralph and Michael. That will be entertaining and those two mooks deserve it.

timbob3461,
I noticed that around episode 3, but I didn't post it, in case it is a spoiler. Now that someone else posted it and I can't get in trouble, I think Michael will win, although Ralph could since the whole US thing.
Posted by: tv freak | July 28, 2005 11:33 AM(#25 of 29)
Did anyone else wish that Michael had picked the chicken, so that Gordon would have to say, "Jessica, that means you get the tuna."
Posted by: bonggargler | July 28, 2005 12:24 PM(#26 of 29)
timbob, I noticed that too! Only I just noticed a head nodding between Ralph and Michael...hmmm conspiracy theories lie ahead! I'm so excited about the finale! I love how they're going to reveal the winner...No boring apprentice courts here!

You forgot to mention that after Jessica slept through the morning bread making, when Ramsey asked her about it she said that it was a great learning experience. Ralph and Michael were shocked at her dishonesty, but said nothing.
I also noticed that in the beginning credits that Ramsey shakes his head disapprovingly or just stares at everyone except Michael. For Michael, he shakes his head up and down. I see I'm not the only one who noticed that.
Furthermore, I noticed in the previews it seems that they're not bringing everyone back next week. No sign of kidney stoner Jeff, hated executive chef Chris, endive enthusiast Mary Ellen, and Carolann. All hail Tivo!

I loved Ralph's comment, "there's no rest in restaurant." Dumbass.
