Newsgasm: Do Not Provoke The Donald Edition -
by m_ruv

- The war of words between Donald Trump and Martha Stewart has escalated to Muhammad-cartoon levels. I'll just let Trump's letter to Martha speak for itself: "Your performance was terrible in that the show lacked mood, temperament and just about everything a show needs for success. ... Between your daughter, with her one-word statements, your letter writing and, most importantly, your totally unconvincing demeanor, it never had a chance—much as your daytime show is not exactly setting records. ... P.S. Be careful or I will do a syndicated daytime show, perhaps called The Boardroom, and further destroy the meager ratings you already have." [CNN]
- Angry James Bond fans have threatened to boycott the upcoming film due to dissatisfaction with the casting of Daniel Craig. In particular, they cite his "pale, flattened face and large, fleshy ears." If I might, I'd like to add "beady, recessed eyes," "appalling crow's feet," and "limp, unexciting hair." [BBC]
- And don't call Lindsay Lohan a "teen queen" OR SHE WILL CUT YOU. [AP]

These were the same people who thought Brosnan would be FANTASTIC in the role - um, yeah...in 1987 when he was originally signed. DAMN YOU REMINGTON STEELE PRODUCERS!!
By the time Brosnan was given the role he had maybe 3 good movies in him. They made one good one, two mediocre ones and an embarassment of Moonraker proportions for the fourth.
I'm just glad ANYONE else is doing it, frankly.
And until they fire those two douchebag writers, Purvis and Wade, the movies will continually suck Blofeld's pussy's hairballs.

Oh noes, Trump is going into "Boardroom" mode rather quickly with Martha. If Trump was so dowon on the show from episode 1, why do we only hear about it now? Gee, it only seemed like yesterday Mr. Trump was praising the show endlessly, being so proud he has franchised his act.
But he does have a few valid points. His daughter was pretty much treated like a second class citizen. The "are you listening to me?" from the finale was priceless. I didn't mind so much the letter-writing thing. And there was the undeniable aura of Martha looking rather disinterested in doing the show. She'd rather be making wreaths and stuff instead of doing the show.
All I know is that Apprentice 5 better be entertaining, as in freak show season 3 worthy. I can't wait to see his children in the boardroom. I wonder if they will be more chatty than martha's offspring.

Hmmm...Trump's continual blatant denial of his own mediocrity and horrific business sense amuses me.

Yeah, Purvis and Wade suck. They only did the first draft though—the producers called in Paul Haggis (who wrote Million Dollar Baby and Crash) to rewrite it:

Trump is the perfect example of what happens when your ego exceeds your talent. You spew diarrhea from your mouth! The whole thing is classless, from both sides.

from the comments at defamer:
Dearest The Donald:
While it is truly undignified to resort to pulic attacks on me and my daughter, it is even more undignified that you should choose to publicly chide your own, loyal employees and talented applicants in front of millions of viewers, and further use the show as a forum to promote your 3rd wife's modeling career. You, your hair and your gilded apartment are all relics of the 1980s, while your opinion and respect for successful women date back to the 1950s.
Be well and safe travels,
Martha

While I am dead against Craig as Bond (fleshy ears is actually right!), it truly must be ghastly for anyone to lose *both* their front teeth in such a violent fashion, (irrespective of the fact that they were acting).
Why didn't they cast Jason Isaacs?! Damn!

Why didn't they cast Clive Owen?!

I'm guessing Clive Owen has better things to do. They just need to pull the plug on the Bond films altogether.
