Who says a vapid television show portraying your even more vapid existence won't be good for your career? According to an article in Women's Wear Daily, it looks like college dropout LC, of Laguna Beach, might make it to the working world after all. MTV camera crews have descended on the West Coast offices of Teen Vogue, where LC has just begun interning. Sources inside Conde Nast, the company that owns Teen Vogue, say this may be a test for a possible Laguna Beach spin-off (perhaps it could be called "Laguna Beach: The Coffee Bitch Years" or "Laguna Beach: Can You Make Me 200 Color Copies of This Layout?" or "Laguna Beach: Proofread This Now, Bitch!"), while others say the footage might just be incorporated into the regular show.
The article goes on to say that a receptionist who refused to appear on film was replaced. That can't possibly be legal, can it? Though, I have to say I'm surprised LC has even gotten a job at all, unpaid and handed-to-her-on-a-platter as it may be. I mean, this is a girl who couldn't even handle more than a semester of art school. Then again, I'm sure the bitchiness of Laguna has more than prepared her for the bitchiness of fashion magazines.

yea, this internship isnt completely contrived and made up for MTV cameras. I know plenty of major publishing companies that hire art school dropouts to be interns, as opposed to, you know, actual college students with an interest in journalism. way to go LC! see you on battle of the reality stars in 5 years! seeing as you'll never get a real job!

HAHA I interned in the NY offices of Conde Nast and GOOD LORD was it horrible. While not ALL the rumors are true, the vast majority are and I actually feel bad for LC - I wouldn't wish this company on anyone.

I say "Yay LC!" She would be perfect as a fashion magazine editor one day, and who is more into clothes shoes, make-up, purses,etc. than LC? The only other thoughts in her sweet little head are StephenStephenStephen, and maybe "I wonder what Lo is doing right now...?" I also think she would be good at being a model for a clothing/make-up/shoe/face cleanser line. Kristin too. Don't hate, congratulate!

Ben Stiller's wife is Christine Taylor (was once marcia brady, i think that was her in the newer versions). LC doesn't have great style, actually none of the girls really do. Thier stylist is actually blackflamingo.com or so they say...its where taylor works i think
