B-Side! I love you!!!!!

Great final re-cap b-side....we are going to miss u, for now atleast since I'm hoping that you'll be recapping LC's new show and LB3 (if I even watch it) in the future. I have to admit, this episode was a real tearjerker. I cried for about 3.2 seconds.I felt like I knew these people personally.

I noticed that when Kristin and Jessica were saying their goodbyes that Roz didn't really say goodbye to Jessica, I'm wondering if here and Roz were ever really that good of friends, or if they kinda just hung around each other cuz of Kristin. These goodbyes didn't seem that serious considering that most of them would be seeing each other in LA, with an exception of Jessica and Taylor.

The next LB will never compare, even LC's show will still not be the same without the other cast members, but I will still tune into her show. The cast of the new LB is ugly...and they seem really lame. I am not very interested. LC's sister is hideous compared to her.

Well that's my novel for now, I'm positive i'll write more later lol.

Maybe it's bc I hated high school, and never thought for a second about missing it, but am I the only one who thought it was totally weird getting teary eyed about moving 65 miles away? Especially when the majority of your friends are moving to the same town? I know people who commute to LA everyday from Laguna.

This season was really good, but season 1 is still my favorite.

i had to laugh whenever stephen entered the scene. i kept waiting for the strange noises, clicks, ect. and i couldnt wait to hear your take on it.

This finale really wasn't as good as I thought it was. We didn't get to see the emotional goodbye between Jason & Ced, we didn't get to see Casey, what the heck is Alex M. doing/going?

Plus - I TOTALLY noticed how much Steven beeped & buzzed this episode - I thought he was going to explode when he hugged LC from behind and bent her over the bed!

Random thoughts,
Now that the season is over, some tings I noticed during the marathon and wonder about:
1) What's with the orange "Livestrong-type" bracelets that alot of the guys (especially) wear?
2) Notice how Jessica gets the "Apprentice Bill Rancic" lip-scrunching thing whenever she's uncomfortable, nervous or in an awkward situation (which was alot)?
3) Speaking of uncomfortable, did anybody else notice that skull that Jessica had in her bedroom? Just a bit creepy...
4) Is Talan color-blind, because his prom jacket and slacks weren't even the same shade of white! His fashion sense leaves alot to be desired (but then again, I've seen the picture with Ryan Cabrera!)
5) What was the name of the song playing at the end of the finale?
6) It looked like Steven kissed his own arm when he sat next to Kristin on the beach and put her in a headlock! He seemed a whole lot more at ease with romance last season. Between the clicks, ticks, and head pats (to both Kristin and LC), he just seems dorky now.
7) And finally, the worst thing about this season: Not enough LO! But, I have to admit that Kristin evolved into a somewhat likeable person this season.
Her goodbye with Jessica was very touching and sweet.

I didn't care much for the finale. I thought there was going to be closure for some people. But I forgot this was Laguna Beach. I didn't cry either. But I must say that this season was a little better than the first all thanks to the man with the golden balls: Jason! His love life created all the drama this season.

As for next season, let's call it what it is: My Super Sweet Sixteen with ugly chicks.

What was disappointing was this episode. Nothing happened. I was hoping there would be some kind of drama, but no.

i thought the episode was great! and i can't wait to see the hills and LB3. the only thing i didn't like was the host of the "live" show...has he ever even seen the show? it was like he read off index cards the whole time. he should get fired.

I admit it freely: I'll watch 'The Hills' and I'll probably watch LB3, too. I said I wasn't going to watch LB2 and I did, so why lie to myself?

My biggest question (which carried over from last season) is why the HELL do these people bring two suitcases maximum to college? I filled an entire van when I went and I KNOW these bitches have more stuff than I do. Also, what's with everyone going to college solo? Are the parents really that uninvolved (not only did fashionista LC took her lousy two suitcases with her to San Fran, she had to fly there alone!)
Do people's parents not take the annual trek to college with them anymore? Are these parents really that distant? Or maybe they came later with the rest of their things and MTV just wanted dramatic shots of the stars driving away? This is really irritating me..I suppose it will give me something to ponder while we nearly a year for season 3

Season 1 was way better - there was actual drama then. I was so sad Casey didn't get any screentime - she was my all-time favorite. And we bet money you'd give us a count on the number of times "weird" was said. It was numbering in the hundreds, especially in one brief exchange between Kristin, Jessica and the sidekick. Oh, till next year. Actually, I thought LC's show looked rather interesting, I guess because I live there, and even Anna Wintour, the NYC Vogue beast, showed up for a cameo in that preview. What if L.C. and Anna have a smackdown over L.C.'s Vogue internship. Now that could get interesting, because L.C. will cry Anna into submission using the same strange power she uses to keep getting herself new MTV reality shows.

Season 3 looks like a slutty snooze-fest. How many guys looked like those boys in high school? The girls look kinda crusty as well.

I for one am PSYCHED about season 3 of LB. MTV realized that this show is golden- so expect a lot more money to be spent on producing this next season. Also, the newbies look AMAZING. A bunch of busty, bitchy brunettes and ridiculously toned Abercrombie-esque surfers. Can't wait!

im a huge laguna fan but the season finale was disappointing.. im really excited for the hills though, and even though lb3 looks like its probably guna be stupid, im stoked for that too

Omg.. I cried my eyes out. I wish that they would have focused on casey, ced, j-wahl . not just the bitch trio. And is Alex M even going to college ? I really thought that this episode was very lax. There was nothing really going on that they could not have done at the end of last week's episode and taken up less time........BUT, MTV wanted to get all they could out of the season and I am glad that there was one more episode. It was all worth it to see LC in the studio and plug her new show which we got to see....LOOKS NICE.

The preview for LB3 was really worth watching the show. I am glad there is going to be a season 3. It looked like from the previews that Jessica and Taylor were going to make cameos, which is nice because any more of JESS is sweet. Also next season looks like a lot of want to models both guys and girls, and a VERY top heavy busty young woman by the name of Cami, too bad she is not very good looking or she would be the best of the bunch.

I just discovered tvgasm (yes I've been living in a very dark basement) and Laguna Beach is one of my favorite shows. B-Side you are my favorite out of the bunch and I've read all of your "re-capping" but this final one had me snorting and spitting out drinks and nearly choking the entire time! I love you! The recap is def more entertaining than the finale. I mean...how much crying. Season 3 certainly will be different. With MTV in the LB for 2+ years now, do we seriously think the new crop of kids are going to be "spontaneous" ....they are all HARSH-looking...not a well scrubbed fresh face amongst them

also: as i was ready to shoot myself from the boredom i was 'being forced' to endure, i did catch myself paying attention to kristin's earrings instead of the 'conversation' going on.

and yes, roz looked real uncomfortable in the kristin-jessica (oops, sorry, i meant j- wtf? we haven't heard anyone call her this til the last 20 minutes of the season) hugging scene.

For some reason whenever I saw someone drive off in their car into the sunset (ie: Stephen and Jessica)that a car would come screeching around the corner and smash right into the side....
maybe that was a dream sequence LC had in the 4th act.

Work finale ever. Completely lackluster and should have been an hour long.

Next season looks just awful-- like not even good enough for me to watch for stupidity's sake. All the girls look way young and they wear too much makeup. And the boys are on steroid.

I think "The Hills" sounds great. The world L.C. is entering definitely is way way out of the LAGUN-CACOON. Mean, mean, magazine, fashion world. It will be great to see if a child of LB can hack it in the all-too-real-world.....I am watching for SURE..Cannot wait!!

The girls shown in the LB3 preview appeared ridiculously skanky. I think the show is headed downhill from this point on; the new cast members will be trying wayy to hard to emulate situations from previous seasons.

THE ORANAGE BRACELET IS FROM DIETERS CHARITY, "RUNNING HOME OF TEENS" he's the only kid from this show that took the notority and did something meaningful with it.

I watched the marathon yesterday and pointed that out to my husband. I did not realize how big Alex M had gottten until yesterday.

B-Side, you've managed to find humor in one of the most boring episodes ever....so kudos to you on that. I'll admit, I got a little misty eyed when Kristin started crying with Jessica, but that's all you get. And I am just so tired of Stephen and LC being camera sluts....GET OFF OF MY TV. And thank you B-side for saying, "I was quite amused, however, when LC said that after two years, it was finally time to move on from Laguna Beach, and then promptly plugged her new show The Hills"...I too was like o.k. if you're done with MTV then why the hell are you still having cameras stalk you. And let's be real about it...she's not that exciting to watch in the first place. I don't even know about Laguna Beach 3 either 'cause the girls look like trannies and the guys look like they have spent the last 2 years pumping steroids for a chance to be on this show. No 16 year old should like like these kids. Just like last episode; totally boring but with more crying. Yep, the season ended with a whimper, not a bang.

As for where they will all be in ten years, I can totally see Kristin as a high-priced call girl.

Also, is it me or did Kristin gain some weight? I'm not saying she's fat, she just looks like she has more to her than she used to and she has rolls where she didn't before.

The ending was so dumb.

I really enjoyed how this was a commercial free episode of Laguna yet it still was only 22 minutes long. What, the producers couldn't give us eight extra minutes of boring footage? Lazy bastards.

I was absolutely appalled that we didn't get to see Casey's departure.

There would've been such a touching Imelda-Casey moment, because god knows that she has no other friends in Laguna.

The finale SUCKED. Just so you know, I am a big fan of the show, however,
I was not a big fan of the last show. There may not have been commercials but they might as well have put them in. I've never seen an episode filled with so many awkward, quiet moments and wasted footage. It's like they took all the extra footage of scenery from the other eps and put it in this one. The kids hardly even spoke about anything!!!

p.s. Did anyone notice that on "The Hills" preview that LC was trying to get with another guy? Where's Jason in all of this??

Okay...so last night..I totally yelled at my son's g/f for getting me so addicted to LB! I mean, for Christ's sake, I am a 38 year old woman with kids in college and I am addicted to this crap. She (the g/f) said she was sorry (I'll just bet!) and then asked if I would be watching LB3 - Like OMG, Hell yes!

The only good part about the finale last night was watching the scenes for the new shows. I'm going to hate LB3 already, I can just tell. Don't get me wrong- I'm SURE I'll watch it, just like everyone else who reads this (don't lie), just to see what it's like. But all those girls are hoping something big will happen to their talentless lives too so they figured they should carry on the torch of a reality show.

LC and Jason must've gotten back together a while after the fact, since he doesn't seem to be in her new show at all. Maybe she met up with him at some point later on? I don't know....I had just assumed after watching the final episode and the previews of the new show that they never actually did get back together, and that those pics we were seeing of them were taken during the 3 months of time that they were dating.

But I guess if US weekly says they are still together then it must be true, but for some reason I still doubt it.

I’m with you regarding LC and Jason’s relationship (or lack thereof?). After airing all that “drama� at the fashion show and the pair’s subsequent break up, why wouldn’t we get to see them reconcile if in fact they got back together? The only thing I can think of is that MTV wants us to tune into LC’s new show in anticipation of possibly being able to see them reunite. MTV probably figures if we saw them reunite on Laguna Beach then maybe fewer of us would tune in to “The Hills� (I think that’s what it’s called) to see how that whole situation played out.

On a recent shopping trip to the mall, I made a very “random� purchase of some earrings very similar to Kristin’s “birdcage� pair. From this point forward, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to put them on without smiling and visualizing a teeny-tiny parrot inside of them…hilarious!

I just read in one of my gossip mags that after the Halloween fight between LC & Jason, it's off for good.
I got a little teary eyed. (I'm 35=loser:)

LC and Stephen are such camera whores. The new kids for LB3 does look sluttier, bitchier and FuGlier. Maybe I shouldn't be so hard on them... Slutty=DRAMA, and that's what we freakin need.

I want my Kristin back. She is the reason why I watch this trainwreck anyway. I'm glad and sad that she decided not to have cameras follow her around anymore, documenting her every moves unlike some people (LC, I'm talking to you, attention whore). I guess I'll just wait for her in the movies and the pics the papparazi captured on their camera.

Did anyone else notice that LC was kind of a dud when she was being interviewed at the end? She wasn't looking at the camera or smiling at all.

This recap was so funny!! Especially because B Side noticed all the same things I did. Like how much Cedric seroiusly does look like a penis... he's like a crusty scab you just want to flick off. And the beach scene b/t Kristin and Stephen was so boring I was checking out her earrings too!! Next season's girls look like they've been dragged through the mud, not attractive at all, and really, from here on out, any guy that agrees to be on this show is a douche bag that should get their ass kicked. Cami has about two lines in this season and now she gets to be the main focus?? Come on... and you know they just threw in that footage of this season's people just to get people to watch, but they won't really be on it.

I know The Hills hasn't even started yet, but I have to say for the record how irritated I am that Lauren gets an internship at Teen Vogue. It's clearly based on a giant "product placement" deal (for lack of a better term) that Teen Vogue wants to have with MTV (to compete with Seventeen magazine and their Miss Seventeen show). I will give Lauren credit for the fact that she is a fashion student, but I can bet you that either MTV approached Teen Vogue and asked for her internship, or more likely, Teen Vogue approached MTV and offered it up in return for being prominently featured in the new show.

Believe me, I know that ALL of these coveted internships at top magazines are tied to major nepotism/connections, but it just irks me how transparent that whole arrangement is.....

That show sucks. Glad it's over.

Yes, I absolutely noticed that LC was very reserved while being interviewed at the end. At first I thought, well she’s always been pretty low-key (except for the whole Jason/fashion show disaster), so it’s par-for-the-course. But then I thought, if she wants to promote her new series, maybe she should be showing a little more enthusiasm. Maybe she was just nervous in front of a live audience. But I totally agree that she was lacking in any type of emotion during the interview.

i think last season was more moving since most people...um. left ...for good. it was definitely more real and only a few of them became total whores who hook up/hang out with the hiltons.

Very true SisterM, LC has always conducted herself in a dignified fashion. She was just particularly mellow during the post-show interview. But she is most definitely a class act.

As for Stephen, who knows what’s going on with him? You’re right, he is trying way too hard to be cool. That bong/flipping-the-bird photo is a prime example of how hard he is trying. LadyW, #94: I think LC tried extremely hard to get attention! All those parties she threw at her palatial beachfront mansion were definite ploys to get camera time. Also, what she said at the fashion show really amused me:

"I'm not in high school anymore; I shouldn't have to deal with this."

She is trying to project herself as a very mature person compared to the other, high-school age, castmembers. However, I think she is just as immature as everyone else on the show. In reality, she probably only hung out with the (former) seniors to gain attention from the cameras.

now that this season's done i suggest everyone check out mtv overdrive because of the little hints at the real lives of these 'guna tunas. for example, if you watch both cedric's and jason's tour of their rooms you'll notice that they both have the exact same lubricant -...er, lotion! coincidence? i think not!
you can also learn the definitions of complicated and exclusive slang words like "gnarly" and "stoked" directly from the kids
...and it's only a little condescending.

or the producers knew after season 1 that in order to keep people watching they had to keep the original triangle of kristin, stephen, and lauren.

and i truly believe half the 'parties' on this show- at lc's house and not- were fabricated and forced by mtv.

No doubt that smelly-parts-Alex and stalker-Jessica made complete idiots of themselves over J.Balls. What I was trying to convey is that I think LC is kind of fake (like everyone else on the show besides Taylor); she claims to not want to be around drama yet she still hangs around with all the high schoolers and throws those terribly awkward parties at her house. It all just seems like a gross ploy for camera face time.

I was hot in high school and im still hot now, so how do these kids get cast to be on t.v. as ugly as they are? LB surely has hotter high schoolers, right?

I'm completely sure that there are hotter girls in Laguna, but they have to have their parents' permission to be on this show. So only moms like Charlene Torriero would allow their daughters to baby-skank themselves for a crack at show biz. And notice how its always the moms who think that they have the cutest daughters who have real ugly ones.

Besides, money talks in this town. So the formula is:

ok maybe I'm the only person that never noticed the LOUD friggin' seagulls in the beginnning of Hillary's Song...it was weird...it scared me. i have to say I'm so sad that this season ended...I'm thinking back way back to the beginning of this season and I was so excited...and then so let down five seconds later when the show began and it was...zzzzzzzzzzzzz...but then it got better because we got to see a psychopath in the making (Big ups to J...aka Jessica) and Kristen donkey honk was actually quieter then the "Ste-PHEN" that it was before. LC was just a regualar kid who went off to school but I guess being near the crush of your life and living way too far from the cameras was just way too much for her and she had to come home, that made my season it instilled some good ol' fashion camera/story hogging (big ups to LC, Ste-PHEN and Dieter). I unfortuantly fell fast asleep during the Monday showing (yes I was that tired and bored) so I didn't get to see the wonderful new cast that will be reaking havoc into my life next season (should I just cancel my cable now?) and I will realllllly miss Bside and the wonderful reviews that he does, because it wasn't until I started reading them, that I really did appreciate Guna for what it is, a soap opera in the making.

I think one way to tell is that they will have a combination of random pictures, in addition to pictures that are actually from the show. If that was you, why would you need to have pictures that are actually clips from the show? Who knows, maybe I would use them too if i thought i looked good in them but it just seems odd to me.

I actually think Season 3 looks good(who cares if these Guna kids are half my age?!). It'll be refreshing to see highschool guys that can actually speak in sentences, rather watching highschool dropouts or kids that speak in "uh's, duh's, clicks, and clacks". HONESTLY. kristin had the white trooper followed by the white bmw, roz had a white focus last season now a white cabrio this season, jessica has a white toyota, lc has a white suv and now a black convertable, talon drives something black, taylor has a black acura, alex m has a black jeep, steph-an has that pretty white truck, lo has a white jetta, jason has like 50 vehicals.. Stuff - Stepford Cars?

SEASON 1 is still #1 for me...

IMO, and after watching the previews for Season 3, I realized that LB Season 3 seems too much like your typical reality show nowadays. Every girl, from what they showed, is drop dead gorgeous w/ a perfect body & every guy has a six pack to die for and looks to kill.

Ok... let's face it... we(myself included) would rather see the pretty, rich people and how they live... but, we also fell in love w/ the original Laguna Beach. We were introduced to... A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A WEALTHY, HIGH SCHOOL TEENAGER... nothing more...

I'm willing to bet that none of the ORIGINAL teens went in w/ the intention of getting rich, famous or even Punk'd.

Season 1, you had Christina and Morgan(for example), who, let's face it, weren't too attractive but they made the show good. Trey wasn't the "hunk" and yet you fell in love with his persona.

Season 2 you had Jessica and Cedric(for example) who weren't "ALL THAT" either and yet the show prevailed. You had overly-dramatic Jessica who brought much interest to viewers and "not-to-good- looking-at-all" Cedric who, IMO, turned out to be the funny guy everybody liked... we loved it.

BUT NOW.... for whatever reasons, MTV has decided to take Laguna Beach and turn it into the next "I want to be famous" reality freak show.

From what "I" saw, it's going to be a catty, I'm better looking than you, and I'm going to be famous season... good for ratings but not the LAGUNA BEACH we came to love!

Wait to go MTV for keeping LB a one-of-a-kind and unique show... heaven forbid you follow the rest of reality show hell!

Everyone keeps asking why LC has her own reality show and the other cast members don't---I think its obviously bc she isn't trying to become famous. okay.... two things that i have to comment on before i get to my thoughts.
1. roz did not get a lot of love because remember, she's not a "main cast" member. jessica and kristin are. that's why the didn't focus on roz and jess saying goodbye.

Stuff-- I think that the reason that everyone drives black, white or silver cars in LB is because those colors are considered to be in good taste. The area that I live in is one of the wealthiest in my state (Arizona, by the way, so not as nice as LB) and everyone around here drives black, white or silver cars. My car is black, my dad's car is black, my mom's car is silver...u get the point. THere is no color diversity:)

Kristin is a COMMUNICATIONS major? OMG, hopefully speech therapy is mandatory in her first semester. This is only slightly less shocking than finding out Jason is majoring in the same area. What kind of breakout role will she have in that new movie? I hope her only line is..'um...yeah..WHATEVER!'

In the recent pics of Roz and Alex M drunk at the club, u can see that Alex M has gotten even heavier. She's really becoming a lard ass, she even has a double chin now. I'm curious as to what would possess her to gain weight towards the end of the season and then gain even more weight when she got her newfound stardom rather than lose...did she forget that she was on a hit television show that millions of people watch?

In the preview for LB3...u see a couple of the old cast members (Jessica, Jason, I can't remember who else) flash quickly on the screen. U can tell that MTV probably just put that there so we would be fooled into thinking they would be on the new show when in reality they're not even living in LB anymore. I think we'll be lucky if we get a 30 second cameo by anyone from the old cast (with an exception of LC. But whatever.

Yes, I did hear that Roz and Alex M. are living together. Probably right away. I agree, Kristin just liked all the attention and admiration she got from Roz. Now that she's "going places", Roz probably feels like she's not needed anymore.

I wonder if Taylor and Alex M. still stay in touch. On the finale, it seemed like Alex was more upset than Taylor was.

I think all of that is right, there are some new pix from the crazy laguna kids on lagunahookup blog and Kristin and Roz are not seen together, just the 2 Alex's! B-side was right all along....there was bound to be a breakup!

Now that I am thinking about it, it seems like Roz and Alex M. are a better fit than Roz/Kris/J and Alex M./Taylor. Remember how gung-ho Roz was to get the 4 of them together for dinner? And how she pushed for them to attend the "peace" bonfire? Also I remember her talking with Alex M. about how it sucked they weren't friends anymore (during one of the pre-Duff scenes). AND she was the one who was all for going to LC's end of summer BBQ to hang out with everyone. It looks like she wanted to break away from Kristin but was under some kind of spell...I keep picturing Jafar from Aladdin with that thing he used to hypnotize everyone.

Roz moved out of the apartment with Kristin about a month ago, she posted in her xanga about it right after it happened. She also has a lot of new pictures on her xanga with her an alex. She says there that regardless her and kristin are still friends, it's just that brody may be moving in with kristin and i guess she didn't feel like she fit into the equation anymore. Since alex is a fat, ugly mongrel who was lucky to even get Jason I guess Roz doesn't feel like she will ever be pushed out of the picture for a man.

I hope that Alex M. makes cameos in the new season of LB3. I get the feeling that these new chicks are gonna get on my last nerve and I want Alex M. to show up all drugged out or drunk (or BOTH!) and threaten to kick their asses. She's an extremely intimidating girl. Hell, I would have said "Yeah, I'm a slut and you are God" if she came at me the way she did to Jessica.

a couple of things:
1) the scene when the girls (kristen, roz and "j') say goodbye and they're like - "oh.. we've had SO MANY great times in this room"... ummm, didn't kristen just move into that house like THIS SEASON?!
2) my friend saw LC and Jason at the Grove last weekend, holding hands and being all couple-y... so I guess they just omitted him from The Hills scenes we saw last night... also, she noted that Jason had more facial hair than anyone she had ever seen.. eww!

How can you tell if the girls are truly busted on the new season from the fleeting glances in the previews? They def. do look more trashy, but isn't that the trend nowadays? It seems kids are getting trashier and faker in regards to looks. I graduared high school in 2001, and even the season 1 and 2 kids had a high school experience that was analogous to my college experience (openly partying, "hooking up" with more than one person. with guys who weren't your b/f,EVER doing the same things these kids did within the same hempisphere of their parents, let alone broadcasting it on national TV..)

Many of us may end up changing our minds with regards to our original opinions of the LB3 kids once the show begins airing and we get to know their personalities as individuals. We basically just saw quick clips of them sitting in Jacuzzis and hanging out by pools and judged them based on their looks. I understand that with a show such as Laguna Beach there are certain expectations about what a local high school student (on a “reality show� in a wealthy community) should look like. But again, as they start to become real people to us with feelings and opinions, etc., as opposed to a participant in a split-second MTV preview, we might find ourselves getting to like them.

It’s really hard to say at this point. I was like everyone else when I saw the LB3 previews and felt a little disappointed by what I saw…and of course, they weren’t the LB1 and LB2 kids that I had grown so familiar with over time (some of whom I really liked). But at the beginning of Laguna Beach #1, when MTV previewed this new show (“The Real O.C.�), I kind of rolled my eyes and thought, oh no, not another Real World wannabe show. Turns out, I really enjoyed watching these kids and ended up liking them a heck of a lot more than the "kids" on Real World.

In the Laguna book it mentions that Alex M. was the one who introduced Kristin to Alex H. so it seems the Alex's go further back that Kristin and Roz.

Thats probably why she was so upset that they didn't hang out anymore.

Shelly-- good point. I hope the girls grow on me. I'm going to miss LC and Kristin. LB3's new set of guys, though, looks one hell of alot hotter than Stephen, Talan, etc...why didn't the boys at my high school look like that?! LOL

I think that they should just stop it while it's a good thing. Since Kristin was a jr. during Season 1, it made sense to have Season 2. But, now it's just not making sense. It's like when they made Saved By the Bell: The New Class. That maybe lasted a season!

I did not like this episode. I was hoping for more drama and less tears. Let's stop and think for a minute? How much money do you think MTV makes off of LC? MILLIONS! Yes - LC - because had she not been directly involved in the triangle of year, the show would never have taken off like it did. Not a bad trade-off for putting up with all the cameras and BS that comes with it. They should get something out of it. And given the money LC's family has, it's refreshing to see a rich kid actually have some ambition and work for a career. Being an intern at those fashion magazines basically means being a pee-on (almost literally), and I congratulate her for doing it.

If you don't agree that we, as Americans, lead impoverished emotional lives, "Laguna Beach" goes far in proving that thesis. Let's just peruse a random assortment of quotes from those fine teens, straining to capture the weight of their impending departures from their hometown.

I thought the last episode was a total rip off! When they said commercial free, I thought the show would last 30 minutes, but it was only 20 min. long. Come to think of it, I probably could not have stood another 10 minutes of the LB crew sobbing for no reason at all. Especially because most of them are all living in LA! But, I must admit my Monday nights will not be the same without my favorite show.
Oh, someone asked about the new show 8th and Ocean. From what I have read, it will not feature the LB cast, but will feature a new group of kids who live in Miami. I love the recaps!

it cracks me up how everyone is soooo "i hate her", "she's fake", ect... a lot of these comments are pretty heated...love em/hate me, i've enjoyed the ride (although it took me a while to openly admit my obsession with the show)...

oh and not that it's fair but yea these kids are going to get hand outs like internships, record deals, acting jobs...it's the way of the world...its easier to just accept it than to get mad at it...

I love this show completely but two things:
1) Stephen must have Tourette's because of all the weird clicks and noises he makes
2) L.A. is an hour away, yet they think it's some far off exotic destination where all their dreams will come true. In reality, all of us bums living in the smog of Los Angeles look at the hills of Laguna as the far off destiny where our dreams of panoramic views from ginormic mansions can come true. [If you're not run over by an old person living at Leisure World or Leisure Village or whatever that old folks community is where there are many, many accidents involving the phenomenon among 65-plusers known as "pedal error."]

I thought the last episode was ok. It was a lot of crying but it was still ok. I did not cry how ever I was about too. I thought this season was sooo much better than the first one. I did like all the cast members,besides Jason and Jessica. Maybe Jessica is a really sweet person off of the show but I did not like her. I thought Kristin go better from last season.The one I liked the best was L.C. She was soo sweet along with both Alex's Taylor and Morgan. Well I can't wait untill season 3.

Ok great reviews. Laguna Beach was an awesome show and I just wanted to post a couple of things I found annoying/weird that some of you may have noticed...
1) jessica's lip scrunching thing everytime she was bored or nervous and her ridiculously massive love handles...ugh
2) definatley stephen's ticking noises...goddamn he really needs to hook up with kristin again so he can take some of her communications/speech classes
3)kristin's nasally voice which probably sounds worse than someone screeching their nails on a chalkboard
4) casey's crazy ass pageant hair
5)cedric's face...haha im so glad that someone pointed out his penis shaped head
6) jen's (lc's friend) nasty orange tan
7) alex h. in general...first of all she looks like a freakin transvestite and second of all she was only hanging around kristen and jess for the spotlight
8) how jessica always contradicted herself...this was really hard to tell but I can provide you with a couple of examples: the episode where jess is at cabo with her friends and says "I would never date jason again, ever...well mb not ever but i would never date him ever again," the episode where jessica gets in a fight with jason on the phone and is like "im not always mad at you but if u didnt make me mad i wouldnt always be mad at you all the time," etc...wtf is up with that!!
9) how kristin always has to steal everyone's chance to shine...kissing jess's crush jeff, leaving lc's party with stephen, being miss popular at lo's part...it gets so annoying dont you think?
AND FINALLY
10) the fact that none of these chicks are in shape!! OMG all of them either have that little pooch on their stomach's, double chins, or chubby arms and legs...gross. I thought this was california where all the people are supposedly beautiful, hmm this show proved me wrong

i love laguna beach! i'm so sad that it's all over. but i hated casey at the beginning because of what she did to alex, but at first, i did not like alex because of what she did to jessica, but now i thought that she was cool. i loved jessica, Kristen, Alex, Talan (he was so cute) and i did not like jason at all because all of the drama with jessica, alex, and LC. i like LC too because she drew the line when she saw Jason kiss Jessica. i would of been in her if my b/f kissed another girl (especially if it was his ex) Alex was like that too, when she found out that jason was hanging out with Jessica.
