Preaching to the choir, but this season is really disappointing and patethic- I feel so embarassed for Tessa getting dumped twice on national tv. I really would prefer less airtime showing Tessa and her lame gang. At least idiotic Kyndra and Cami are in some ways mildly entertaining. And more of the Lexi plz. And that lip-injection girl Nikki.

Now that she's been on TV and in magazines, Cami, who takes advanced placement economics and hopes to attend USC next year, isn't so sure she wants to go to law school. She was a junior when this season was shot, and doesn't hesitate when asked if being on this show can change her life: "I think it will if I push myself to go out and get a publicist. That's what Kristin did. She had the personality on the show to let her do that. Her and Lauren, they moved to L.A. and got publicists who do all that stuff for them — put them in magazines, go to red carpet events. I think Kristin is taking it as far as she possibly can. Unlike Cami, Kyndra, who is home schooled, doesn't seem perturbed by how people perceive her. "If everyone played the little nice girl, then no one's gonna watch the show," she said. "So I'd rather draw people into watching the show."

Kyndra answered questions in a distracted tone, stared out the café window and was snippy when asked what she felt were repetitive questions about the show. "I think I already answered that," she said, when asked whether she agreed with yet another comment from Cami about the show portraying them in an unflattering light. "And I don't really care," she added. "I feel like I am repeating myself." Later, she refused to step onto the beach to pose for a photograph, insisting instead that she stay on the staircase above the sand. (Two MTV publicity executives called later to apologize for Kyndra's behavior; Gateley also apologized.)

Cami is looking forward to next season for her own reasons. "I want to be on the fourth season just to clean things up," she said. "Not that I wouldn't be myself, but I would go out of my way to ... I don't know. It just really, really, really sucks. Tessa seems like this goody two-shoes on TV, and I am just sitting there watching it, going, 'If you only knew.' "

From this article, it seems Cami might not be as bad as we thought, and Kyndra well, I guess she really is just a b@#$%

I think Nick really likes Raquel, he admitted it to that rude waiter, on the Sanfransisco episode, unfortunately, I think he might just be raquel's rebound. But still this LB lily livered boys, one word from his friends and he will dump her. They are trying so hard to be players, but are coming across as losers, seriously, how many guys actually have a constant conversation about each other's GF. i.e Derek nagging Cameron about Jessica, Cameron and the MB nagging Derek about Tessa, and now rocky.

I just have to say this again, of all the annoying, insipid, classless people on LB, Alex annoys me the most. Why, because he fooled me into thinking, he was one of the good guys, and for him to change so drastically, when he realized, he went after the wrong/unpopular girl, and probably, (I hope he will be cut from the cast) just pisses me off!!

These guys are in high school being tape by MTV...of course they are going to be stupid when it comes to relationships and listen to their equally loser guy friends.

That said after watching this episode on how to not date/breakup with a person of the opposite sex I'm going to forget this episdoe ever existed and look forward to the spring break one where we see captian douchebag Tyler comes back to make a fool of himself and Bree Bree makes a move on Derek (probably in front of Tessa). Oh just think how many times the word slut will come out!

It is painful to watch Tessa. She just doesn't talk. Also how about some of the comments the guys were saying to Nick about Raquel. I think something like "Nick's going to get in there and then his whole family will." Then something about 5 finger something. I really dont think that Raquel heard what Alex said because I think she probably would have told Tessa about it, unless she was too embarrassed.

Alex is a creep...it does really bother me that I thought he was a good guy.

Ok...I LOVED this episode!!!! I gotta give it to my girl Rocky! She did everything perfect. She knew what she was doing, she knew there was a chance Alex was gonna be there, hence being dressed to the nines, with another guy. She smiled from ear to ear while in the club, making contact with Nick...and Alex fell right into what she was trying to convey...not that she was a "slut" or anything like that...but that she was a pretty girl and if he doesn't want her...look around Alex, someone else will! Come on, we've all done this! She knew where he was every second in that club...I just don't know why she ran outside...that was wierd. I wouldn't have done that...but she got upset..it happens and sometimes you can't hide it...and you need to lay on the ground in a parking lot in your prom dress and cry! Doesn't matter who sees you- as long as it isn't the idiot that dumped you! She is my favorite on this show by far...she handles her self very well.
I LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE It that crooked nose Lexie and 'stache didn't meet James Fucko at the concert! hahahahahahaha!!!! Wierd how Alex was saying all that stuff to JAWS aka Breanna. This episode could be summed up in three words. Painful to watch.

This episode couldn’t have been more misleading. Between lies told on the show, and lies told to us by the MTV editing department, I almost gave up on the show completely. Its just not fun to watch anymore. Heres were a few problems/comments from last nights show

When the hell was the bonfire really? Every single person that talked said the bonfire was at a different time than the next person. One person said last night, one person said last week, one person said 3 days ago. Also, if the bonfire was “the night before” Chase’s concert like Rocky and Tessa claimed, how could Nick W have asked Rocky out last week??? Doesn’t make much sense, its all a bunch of garbage.

Did anyone else notice when Nick W was over Chase’s houset, he said how he couldn’t wait to hear Open Air Stadium instead of stereo? Its almost as if MTV told him to get his ass over to Chase’s and make small talk about Rocky despite them never talking before.

Next did anyone else see our favorite cokehead de jour Jason? He was standing outside the club placing an order for a kilo when the cameras were showing Rocky standing around inhaling second hand smoke and bitching. I was shocked B-Side didn’t make a comment about this. It wasn’t just a quick shot either, he was in the frame for a while.

As I’m sure if anyone’s read my comments before, they know how thrilled I was that THE LEXI stood up Alex. I wish more was made of this because it made my night. A close second was the look on Breanna’s face the whole time Rocky was talking. Even she realized how pathetic and sad he was being when he just randomly threw out “Rocky and I broke up.” Its pretty bad when Breanna thinks your pathetic.

Next I love how MTV doesn’t even show us what made Rocky upset, because it certainly wasn’t because of what Alex said. For one, he was whispering everytime he said the word slut. Second, MTV didn’t even have a shot of them in the same frame while he said it, which they certainly would have done if they were even within 200 yards of each other. Third, if Rocky got that upset about him not talking to her, imagine how upset she would have been if she heard him call her a whore. Fourth, in the bizzaro recap in the 3rd scene, she never even mentions that he was insulting her, she just said how he wouldn’t talk to her. She had NO idea he was saying anything about her. So what made Rocky cry you may ask? Who knows, ask MTV.

Also regarding timelines, did anyone else feel like Tessa and douchebag’s relationship really only lasted 4 days, and MTV showed the 3 times they spoke on 3 different episodes to make Tessa look less pathetic? I don’t know about anyone else, but I’d bet my life that the supposed breakup was 3 days after their little sushi date.

I’m done with this show if the Cabo episode isn’t at least semi-amusing. It looks pretty good though so I’ll keep my fingers crossed. I love how Kyndra didn’t know Tyler was going to be in Cabo. Talk about creeps, the guy just randomly shows up to vacation with a bunch of 16 year olds when he’s 20 something. Nice.

It does look like Rocky's house is not in town - whenever they show her & Tessa talking on that gangplank porch (what is that thing anyway?), there are no buildings in the immediate vacinity. Nothing but hills, grass & ravines. Check it out next time - the ocean looks pretty far away in those scenes.

i saw on one of the after show things that Rocky actually lives on a Nature perserve, which, I believe, is just northeast of Laguna/kind of on the outskirts of town. So they'd have literally acres for their house to be in and the gangplank would go out into the preserve i guess.

The best part about this episode was that Alex and his pal strolled in there like they thought all the Laguna kids were gonna suddenly embrace them into their little gang... but obviously that didnt happen...

Thanks for the recap I missed last night eposide and was dying to know what happened. Sounds like another boring episode. Alex is so stupid in my opinion what Rocky did does not label her a slut he dumped her remember boy these LB boys are STUPID! I'm glad Lexie dissed Alex he deserves it hopefully Rocky won't take him back we shall see.

It always amazes me how much more interesting I find each episode after one of your recaps, B-Side. Without them, I think I would have ditched the show altogether like five episodes ago (OK, probably not, but...) so thanks for keeping it interesting.

As far as the episodes seeming out of sequence - I read that Tessa's 17th birthday was in March... so why was her birthday surprise party episode shown on MTV like it happened right before Christmas? This may explain why Derek was the one who brought Tessa to the surprise party - they were probably "dating" at the time.

And Breanna's 17th birthday was in August, but that episode, with the drama between Rocky and Breanna, took place after the Christmas episode.

First off I am so happy Breanna finally came out of hiding! Did anyone else think that she was supposed to be the narrator for this season? cause that's what I thought when they first showed the previews for this season after last seasons finale. But apparently her life isn't that exciting. Oh well. Thank god she is in next week's episode, even though she hooks up with douchebag Derek.

I'm getting really annoyed with Rocky and Tessa's recaps of every event that they BOTH go to! I know it's all for the cameras to capture, but still they talked about the Alex incident atleast 3 times this episode. Speaking of Alex, this is reminicent of many guys I knew in highschool. They dump you expecting you to be devastated and then the next night if you dare to talk to a guy, they call you a slut. Even though he was totally creeping on the girls the NIGHT he broke up with Rocky.

I am also happy that it appeared to be that Rachel and Lexie stood them up, even though they were probably just in the crowd actually listening to the music! Breanna looked like she wanted to shoot herself sitting there with Alex and Stephen. Honestly I can't believe these boys think they're just gonna slide right into the bubble and everyone's gonna love them! crazy. And there is no way Rocky heard what Alex said, that was just some bad made up drama from MTV!

oh and LagunaConsultant I rewatched the episode and where did you think J-Wahl was? In the longshot where you could see the door? or in the closeup when Rocky is talking to Ben?

Rocky crying by the wheel of the car was both parts hysterical and painful to watch.

this episode was a lot better than most that i've seen this season...but it was just weird...there's absolutely not a single ounce of depth to any of the conversations that go on on this show...but i was happy to finally see Breanna again and i think she needs to sit down and have a conversation with Tessa so maybe she can get an obvious hint on how boring she is...maybe she thinks if she just giggles and smiles at everything everyone says then they will all like her...i didn't even see an existing relationship between her and Derek although at one point he was labeled Tessa's boyfriend...wtf...and i'm mad they tried to really edited it to be as if Rocky heard Alex called her a slut but the next day when she was talking to Tessa it was if she had no idea he said that...it seems like she broke down because he didn't say hi...all these kids are such asses

When I watch this show I try to keep telling myself to remember what it was like to be 17. However, I don't think my generation was this vapid. And when I say generation, I was in high school ONLY 8 years ago. :-) This cast has such a blandness to it, that it's painful to watch.

On another note, Alex is for sure KING of Douchebags. Did anyone else think he was trying to start another war between Rocky and Breanna when he said "She told me ALL about you". I gave major props to Bree for blowing him off. She looked so uncomfortable talking to him and looked like she would have rather been anywhere else than at that table. The best part of this episode was Alex getting blown off by the whole crowd.

I too thought Alex was a good guy, and it's funny that when he was Rocky's b/f all the girls were like "he's so hot!" and now that they're not together anymore...none of the LB girls want anything to do with him. in his face!! I also saw previews of upcoming episodes for the rest of the season and it looks like Alex wants Rocky back, he tells her that he 'misses her' I so hope she dosen't take him back, she should laugh in his face and say 'sorry honey'

Did the scene with Breanna and Alex - where she's sorta raising her eyebrows and looking away like "f'ing tard" - remind anyone else of that scene in 16 Candles with Anthony Michael Hall and Joan Cusack on the bus? I swear Ive seen that look before. It was definitely John Hughesian.

Which is about Cami beefing on how she's been portayed and Kyndra basically staying (definitely anti-sand) in character. I'm going to have to disagree with ya nflow, Cami comes off as an insecure biotch. She seems to think that she and Kyndra were supposed to be the Kristen's of this season (notice the article sort of hints that they are not attactive). Cami even references Paris Hilton. She also complains about Tessa yet again. If Tessa is so diabolical tell us! God knows that girl could use a juicy story line like Cami could use some intimate knowledge of black hair care products.

I hope they cut Alex out for the rest of the season talk about stage 5 clingon. I'm glad that The Lexie and Bernice played him like Fabreeze. He's not even fun to watch.

Next week looks errr... intetesting, i can't really take that Tyler kid too seriously. It seems like Kyndra will be trying too hard to out Kristen/Alex, Kristen and Alex. The Breanna/Dereck line seems interesting although I'm sure Cameron and Nick W will make sure that it only lasts through Cabo.

My hope since this cast will be back next season if I even care, I hope they are watching themselves and make the appropriate adjustments.

Brewer818 - I totally caught that "beat" and "ugly" comment. I was dying! Mostly because I felt bad for Nick - he just gets played on national television every week.

My theory about the whole Rocky/Tessa vs. the rest of the clan thing is.. Tessa used to be good friends with all of them, probably closer to Kyndra. Cami wanted 1st place sidekick status, but she couldn't do that with Tessa in the picture. As soon as Tessa got sick, Cami saw this as her shining moment and infiltrated. Probably brought up petty and shallow things about Tessa being sick (not atypical of high school teenage girls) and Kyndra probably fed into it, mainly in part of being too lazy to dispute. The other girls in the crew caught wind of this Tessa bashing because they have no backbone of their own (and probably didn't really know Tessa that well) and thus the hatred of our narrator began.

Rocky was probably in a separate group with Breanna, but I'm guessing she felt bad for Tessa and everyone hating on her which immediately marked her for exile as well. As soon as she realized how weak and shallow everyone was, her and Tessa became good friends, thus branding them social pariahs. I dont' think Tessa is completely goody-goody, but I don't think she knew what was going on or how to handle it when she was being dissed. Which would explain why Cami's all bitter in the interview at how Tessa is being shown (because she was always second best). It's like Cami and Kyndra only became close friends after hating Tessa so much, ie., if that hatred didn't exist, neither would Kyndra/Cami.

Take it from someone who had a lot of issues with ridiculously shallow GIRLS in high school. Of course, I only assume and have nooooo substantial evidence. Just something to think about!

So I did some investigating into J-Wahl-gate and its defintely him. They show him 3 times actually. Its right after douchebag treats Tessa like crap and they go outside to see what Rocky is doing. They show alternating shots of Rocky and the front door view. When they show the front door, good ol Jason is standing there on the left side of the screen wearing a nicely wrinkled white T-shirt. I really think Alex was upset because Lexie & Rachel dissed on him for creeping. I mean they just left him there with Bree-Bree. I think Bree-Bree was more upset about it then he was. I can’t believe Bree-Bree didn’t want to know what Rocky said about her. Also, do you think Rocky & Tessa will say something like Bree-Bree was creeping on Alex? It sure looked like Rocky thought so. Maybe Alex was talking to Bree-Bree because he couldn’t find the other girls and he knew this would upset Rocky. (Points to Bree-Bree for not falling into his trap)

It cracked me up that Rocky kept on saying we have BF problems. It makes me wonder if some of these scenes were played out of order. Maybe when she said that to Chase they hadn’t broken up yet. Also in the driveway when the band was getting ready to leave Chase said I heard Rocky and Alex may break-up or they broke up. Wouldn’t he know they broke up if they already had he was at the bonfire.

Yeah for Lexie! Not going for Alex, she did the right thing.

I bet in the end Rocky and Alex get back together. He probably does it to get more TV time. Because we all know he can’t get it with the Queen Bees.

It sure would make the show better if Tessa knew how to have a conversation. And why didn’t Chase tell her to break up with Derek. Some friend he is.

The previews for next week looked good. I can’t wait for some more Ty-Ty and Kyndra action. Do you think Ty-Ty and Kyndra disgust Cameron? He sure acted like it did. They sure disgust me. Why don’t any of Cameron’s friends diss on him when he is with Kyndra?

Why didn't the producers make Rocky the narrator? I understand they want to have one of the "good girls" narrate season 3, but why Tessa over Rocky? All the drama's in in her corner. and she's a million times more interesting..o_O

And Rocky's ex is superhot... but also a superjerk. I laughed when he got ditched by Lexie... but then I also cracked up when he mentioned when Rocky said about Nick. That's harsh. :(

A. MTV would not miss out on a golden opportunity to feature their most controversial male LB character by letting him play background. He was featured when he played golf w/ the age appropriate TyTy and laughed when he found out Jessica was diggin on Cameron.

B. The guy so close, but lacks the J-Wahl coke-booze bloat and sweaty gel locks.

C. Why would J-Wahl be slumming it in the LB for nocturnal kicks, when he's got coke, Hyde, Playboy bunnies and Andy Milonakis in LA?

I think Alex is a punk. It seems like he not only goes after the mean girls, he likes the rich, mean girls. Lexie and Breanna appear to be in a much higher socio-economic range than Rocky.

I don't know if Breanna was really uncomfortable about Alex trashing Rocky, or if she was just uncomfortable. She seems really socially awkward. Maybe she just doesn't know how to talk to poor people.

Aside from J-Wahl (8-Bahl), any predictions on who the future rehab candidates will be?

Does it matter if 8-Bahl was at the club or if Rocky actually heard Alex say she was a slut? The editing was too messed up to discern anything about the latter. The point is, Jason is a cokehead, Alex is a douche, Tessa is a doormat, Bernice is 35, and Cameron has huge teeth.

I don't thing Rocky hears the slut comment. I think she comes out of the club after Alex leaves b/c it finally sets in that they are over, and it hits her like a ton of bricks - hence her breakdown by the Wheel of Woe. I've definitely been there myself. You find yourself in the same place with a recent ex. You spend all evening trying to convince yourself that you're fine, and have moved on - pretend to laugh, etc. - but then the person leaves and it hits you that you have no idea where they are going, information to which you normally would have been privy. I thought it was brilliant. Very real - for once. Nobody laugh at me :)

B-side, I watched the epi AFTER I'd read your recap, and I was hysterical the whole time from your comments - when he said dont be all 'silent night', I almost choked on my filled red cup of "juice".

My boyfriend (never watches eps) seems to think that Alex really likes Rocky. He was just doing that stuff for show.

I know that oftentimes kids who are home-schooled are taught by their parents. But I’ve also heard of kids who are actually enrolled in a particular school, however they are home-schooled by a teacher from that school, so they never actually have to go to classes on campus. So maybe she’s attached to the school in some fashion without actually attending.

I don't watch this season unfortunately on account of that I have no life *ahem 2 jobs*, however that doesn't stop me from rabidly obsessing over the next recap. Ahh yes the blueberry tracksuit comment... I honestly couldn't help myself, especially with all the little kiss ass comments on there already. I had to be careful though, because I didn't want to make it too patronizing like I did on Casey's website. I wrote her an email/comment that may or may not have included the words Imelda, quesadilla, slave driver, racist, General Lee, spoiled and bimbo. Regarding home schooling: at least where I'm from, I have known home schooled kids who are registered with a certain school or district, so that they may take part in activities (e.g. I knew a kid from forensics meets who was home schooled, but played basketball and did forensics with the school district in which he lived, so that he could have part of the regular high school experience as well). So Kyndra may be in a similar situation.

Once again, B-Side, you rule! I just moved last month and my roommate and I chose not to get cable, but your Laguna recaps still keep me in stitches!

I actually got into Degrassi because I advise a youth group and all of my kids were ranting about what had happened that week("Holiday", where Craig cheats on Ashley with Manny, sad that I remembered that, AYE?!) Now they've all graduated and I'm still watching HA!
