I don't know about you guys, but way back when I was a junior in high school (9 years ago - yikes), it was called "THE prom" and not just "prom." Were we the only ones who added an article to the prom phenomenon?

Did anyone else notice that when Cameron was making his "Prom?" t-shirt for Tara, he was like, "Should I add a bunch of question marks?" and Chase was like, "Dude, that would be sick." What DOESN'T qualify as "sick" with Chase? Is the addition of more question marks seriously THAT exciting?

The Lexie summed things up nicely when she observed, "It kind of sucks when your date likes you because then you feel just kind of awkward." As opposed to the total lack of awkwardness when your date doesn't like you.

I didn't quite get the argument between Rocky and Alex either. The stoner angle does have some merit. I was wondering what Rocky was so pissy about, I even considered it was all an act for the cameras/ air time, but that would be the sorriest drama ever.

Is it just me or was Rocky wearing the same dress that she wore to the concert a couple episodes ago?

The part with all the girls at the salon confused me. Whatever Breanna said came out kind of muffled and my closed captioning said "basically he did to me what he did to Tessa".

I actually started to like Cami for about two seconds when she interrupted Rocky and Alex's fight. She seemed like she was actually somewhat concerned about Rocky and not just out there for drama like Kyndra.

It amazes me how MTV is able to show very obvioulsy drunk teenagers on TV. But obviously, its keeps me watching.

Did I miss something? I thought Tessa went to the prom with a friend of Alex's. Where did he go when she decided to get with Derek? How embarrassing for him. As for Rocky and Alex, I remember going back and forth with more than one of my so-called ex's. Sometimes, it takes some work to get it right. I love them. At least their relationship is based on more than a one-night hookup. Cami, maybe there's hope. Kyndra, just go away, far, far away.

I think Rocky was shook up because Alex had creeped up on half of the girls who were at the Prom. Lexie even said (whether it was in her imagination or not) Alex was creepin at her party. It was a trust issue and she had assumed that to make up for it he would be glued to her side.

It looked like Tessa had the best time out of everyone, how ironic.

I TOTALLY think that Alex got back with Rocky because he missed the cameras. His plan to hook up with other girls on the show didn't work, so he had to go back to his old standby. Lexie and friends did not look happy to see him at the pre-party. And I may be in the minority on this, but I kind of like Tessa and Derek together. Go figure.

Is it just me or was prom like a big deal I mean the guys looked horrible. Tessa was the only one appropriately dressed for the occassion what happened to tuxedo's for guys? I'm from OC we never dressed so casual for prom I guess different city's different standards. What's so important about a BF GF in LB anyway they all share eachothers GF BF anyways why have one. I wish I could feel good about the Rocky-Alex reunion but it’s pretty difficult. As a staunch Rocky supporter, I felt her pain when Alex not only dumped her, but immediately starting offering himself up to every girl within earshot. Thank goodness there were no takers, which meant Alex had to go back under the rock from which he climbed out.

Eventually he got lonely and missed the Laguna scene so he called Rocky, the one girl that gave him the time of day. Although rightfully leery, Rocky took him back. Now Alex can resume the Laguna lifestyle to which he became so accustomed and once again participate in all of the Laguna festivities such as proms, bonfires, Open Air Stereo concerts and of course the all important camera-time.

If I truly felt that Alex’s intentions were honorable, I might cut him some slack. But after both the bonfire fiasco and slut-calling incidents, it’s hard to view him as that once “nice guy” that he seemed to be in the beginning.

Rocky is giving him a second chance so let’s hope he doesn’t blow it! But if he messes up again, I pray that she kicks the dirty rat to the curb!

Since we all know MTV and their wacky editing (seriously...nothing made sense in this episode), I think it's entirely possible that OPEN AIR STEREO's concert was AFTER the prom and Raquel wore the same outfit there. I mean...does anyone know why Raquel was even so upset at that concert. I doubt it's because Alex called her a slut.

I'm conflicted with the Alex/Rocky re-hookup. I really want to believe Alex is being genuine, but my husband was watching with me last night, and wasn't feeling the love. We are now sleeping in separate beds.

When Raquel was looking for Alex outside, after the dance, was it Tessa she was talking too? I thought it was weird that Tessa basically blew her off - she didn't even stop walking she just blew right by.

Kyndra is such a nasty bitch. Why does any one even listen to her? She doesn't even go to school with these people - who the hell does she think is? Since she's not going to classes, her parents should really enroll her in charm school. I'd be really interested in WHY she's home-schooled.

I get the feeling that Cami dresses the way she does so that her "girls" can be featured on the show. They know about that camera in the car and yet she always manages to learn forward and squeeze together a nice cleavage shot for all the MTV viewers.

I may be totally off with this...it's just that Alex has changed so dramatically, not only in the fact that he has apparently learned a few words to add to his grunts, but his looks are not what they once were. Also, MTV never really explained why Rocky was crying at the OAS concert..I know they had the whole "slut" exchange plot, but that just doesn't fly because you can tell Alex isn't saying any of that at that precise moment (and if he is, there's no way Rocky heard him). I agree Cameron's Prom "ask" was lame (although the dog was cuter than he is), but I always hated Talan's "hiding in the garage" ask for Kristin last year. He looked like a stupid vampire or an undertaker-in-training.

Dating any of the male cast members is a mistake. They seem to jump from female to female to female. There is nothing wrong with distancing yourself from various teenage boys with too much money and too much arrogance.

Rocky was annoying this episode. I am not saying I like Alex, he's as worthless as the rest of the male cast members, but she willingly took him back. It was childish and petty to act in such a manner on the evening of your prom. You have no one else to blame but yourself when you take back a loser like Alex.

Finally, Rocky needs to buy a new dress. I don't think that dress flatters her figure AT ALL.

I didn't catch that Tessa made her dress, that is awesome. I thought it was a really pretty dress and fit her really well, so, good job! Although I definately did not expect the Derek hook up, uh oh!
I thought Rocky's dress resembled the red one LC wore to prom in season 1.

The kids in the season seemed boring with all the getting asked to the winter formal or the prom. I remember the last 2 seasons, they were all happy and excited planning the surprises and when they saw the special way they were asked. But season 3 they're just like whatever, like how Cameron asked Tara. She didn't even seem like she cared at all. These kids are too stuck up, anything nice they get they're just like "yawn"

But they way that Alex asked Rocky seemed so cute. He looked really sincere. And I started to like him again. But after reading everyone's comments.......i'm not so sure. Poor Rocky, I hope he treats her right this time.

My only question is, of all the genuinely RANDOM places to have a prom invitation tattooed onto your body for a girl to read, why on EARTH would you choose your side, beneath your armpit???? Did he explain the reasoning behind that placement??

i really enjoyed this episode for some reason...but some things bugged me. I would not be on tv with the same prom dress that i wore to a concert...and some of the girls dresses! jeez i dunno if it's a cali thing (or laguna) but i'm from Jersey and no one is caught dead at prom in some little party cocktail looking dress...no one even wears a dress that goes above their knees! but i absolutely loved Tessa's dress she looked really good! they should have slipped her some booze the whole way through. and thank you B-Side for pointing out the way these girls get asked to prom...it seems like these guys HAVE TO go out their way and put something big together for them to go and maybe i'm a little bit of a hater or i'm just jealous! i really can't tell much about Alex yet but he did seem really happy to see Rocky when they met up for their "talk" She could have played it a lot cooler on the night of prom...i thought she was stronger than that...oh well!

I'm so surprised about the amount of people bashing Raquel for her behavior. I'm convinced, based on what they showed, that she had reason to be upset. And he looked kinda scary with his over emphasised display of happiness when she turned up at the beach... and a little bit too when he was telling her he really liked her at the end of their fight at the after party. But, they're still together now, so obviously all has worked out for them.

Here's a thought... Since Rocky wore the same dress to both the concert and prom, who thinks that maybe the scene of her crying in the parking lot of the concert was actually taken on Prom night, when she was looking for and fighting with Alex?? THat would explain why no one could figure out why Rocky was so upset at the concert, since it's already been established that she really couldn't have been able to hear Alex's "slut" comment. I don't have Tivo, but somebody should look and see if her hair in that scene looks the same way it did on Prom night.

However, you can go to MTV's overdrive and watch Cami and Kyndra being asked why Kyndra's not friends with Tessa anymore and as big of a bitch that she can be she says they grew apart, that's it. Cami says the same thing adding that they hadn't been friends for a while and that Tessa's lying for attention. And we know that these are not the girls to hold back.

You do know girls sometimes don't like other girls just for being pretty, so they'll rationalize it, so as not to look at themselves - just a thought.

Alex may be a senior, but he's still just a high school kid, which makes him about 10 in boy years. So of course he's gonna be a jerk from time to time. That's what high school boys ARE!

I can't believe anybody is criticizing Rocky for cooking and baking. What, would you rather see her rolling dubes? And why is it a bad thing that she wears a dress more than once? I applaud that much more than I do spending a ton of money on a dress you only wear once.

I just watched the second most embarrassing show I love (to hate), Grey's Anatomy. As B-Side noted, the title of this episode of LB was very Grey-ish, while some of Meredith's lines this week were very LB-ish. She uttered this stunner twice (speaking to McSchwarmy, aka Sloan), presumably because it was such witty dialogue (?): "Derick and I, . . . let's just say there's a lot of water under the thing or something."

Meredith! Aren't you supposed to be a doctor?! Get your idiomatic expressions down before you use them! Maybe they've hired the kids from Laguna to youthenize Meredith-speak so she comes off as a little younger.

i just re-watched the prom episode for a third time (im a loser, i know) and i think that tessa blowing off rocky was a clever mtv editing trick. we didnt see either one of their mouths move when we saw those captions, i think that was a post production add in, as mtv is so well known for. and rachel is lookin just as "berniece-y" as she always was with her spray tan, and fried hair, i dunno what b-side or anybody else is talking about.

and oh yeah, cami was just being a nosy beeotch like she always is, she didnt give two craps about rocky
