It's All IMDB.S. - TVgasm

There is no Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny is not real, the Tooth Fairy is your mom, and now, there will be no Sam L. Jackson on LOST. The New York Post is reporting ABC's vehement denial that Sam Jackson will be joining the cast of LOST for its sophomore season.

Though the news may come as a devastating blow to those who may have wanted to hear a primetime "Mother F--ker" uttered during sweeps, it has already provided us with much entertainment. The larger problem, as I see it, is now that it has been shown how easily imdb will put up unsubstantiated information, we can now expect not just a slew of false celebrity reportings, but for shits and giggles, many may try to get their Uncle Lou posted as a co-star or Grip in a Jenna Jameson flick, or their best friend as a co-star in THE OC.

I liken this to the internet's laser pointer at the movie theatre screen. The very first person to do it was a clever pioneer for about 4 seconds. Then immediately it became obnoxious, overplayed and, quite frankly, loathsome. I am waiting for the internets version of fake poo - now there will be a gag that never loses its grace.

Kudos to the fake poo pioneer. Hip-Hip...

You're not the only ones fooled. Reality Blurred is reporting that Tina Wesson (from Survivor) will be on LOST next season as well because it's on IMDB.

Anyone can post information, founded or not, on IMDB. That's why it's not good for future casting info.

If you're gonna be saying things like "There is no Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny is not real, the Tooth Fairy is your mom," could you please put up a Spoiler Warning?

Thanks.

zap2it.com has a story up saying Michelle Rodriguez is going to be a big player in the second season, which is awesome cause she is super fine.

Please tell me that your scoop about there being no Easter Bunny came from IMDB, too.

Gnarkill, I have heard from sources quoting the producers that Michelle will be a regular for at least part of next season. The "official website" for Oceanic Airlines, http://www.oceanic-air.com/, run by the show, includes a promo for next season. In typical Lost fashion, it opens the door for speculation about how Michelle Rodriguez might be involved in next season's plots without really revealing much.

I can't wait until the writers do the inevitable "Is the whole series just a dream" type episodes. Maybe they already have and I just haven't watched.

I just read a thing that said that Tina was supposed to play Alex Rosseau, according to the IMDB, which is not even a good prank. Alex Rosseau is the name of the French woman's baby that was born 16 years earlier, so there's no way Tina would be playing her unless they start having flash forwards instead of flashbacks!

Where exactly is the Lost promo on the Oceanic Airline? I looked for it and all I learned that flight 815 was on "alert"

lost, type in the "magic" numbers, 4 8 15 16 23 42 across the bottom where it asks for the number of passengers and it will appear. Sorry that I didn't include that info the first time--a friend of mine showed me the promo so I didn't know you had to jump through hoops to get to it. The promo doesn't reveal anything, of course, but it will fuel speculation.

FYI, After you type in the numbers where it says travellers, click on the row numbers of the numbers, and you'll see the promo. You can also click on different seat numbers to see images linked to different passengers.

My pop culture bible, US Weekly, has this info from the exec producer:

1. look at the younger men on the boat....a long-range clue?
2. romances: but you will be surprised by who hooks up with whom. (Hurley and...well, anyone?)
3. When asked if there are other survivors on the island, "...perhaps. Everyone in first class died, but those in the tail section, like Michelle Rodriguez, may still be alive"

HOLY SHIT!

I know, hardly stunning news. But I wanted to share because I'm a nerd.

amendment:

1. look at the two younger men on the PIRATE boat. As if that weren't already clear.
2. The bit about Hurley was NOT in US Weekly.

Love,
Nerd :)
