Lost in Anticipation... -
by EdHIll
If you answered yes to any of those questions, then I feel your pain. To help ease your suffering amidst those small minded people, here are some brief glimpses of tonight's episode to tide you over these last agonizingly difficult hours.
First we get a glimpse of Sayid planning his attack on Michael, proving now and forevermore, once you go Iraqi, you never go backy.
Next up is a clip of our band of heroes, and Michael, as they arm up and head out to meet their destiny.
And finally, Hugh McIntyre, communications director of the Hanso Foundation will be on Jimmy Kimmel tonight. Have no idea what I'm talking about? Check out the Lost webgame forums to find out.

thanks ed hill! that was just what I needed to get through the last 45 min. of my(non)work day! I am bouncing in my chair... can't wait, can't wait.
Also- I take back my suggestion to drink every time Michael says "Walt" "my son" and "my boy", unless you want to watch top chef with one eye closed...

edhill, right there with ya, bud.
finishing up the 3rd day of summer session classes & all i've been thinking about is psycho-michael, alvar hanso and the boat pulling up to mystery-freakin' island.
this kimmel thing tonight might be pretty interesting, too.
thanks for the heads-up.
any1 think tonight might be a bit more of a cliffhanger than jack & locke looking down a big hole in the ground?
yeah booooyyyyeeee!

Well, since my new addiction is the web casts...hey EdHill when are we getting a LOST one?...I'll only get to see the first hour before I have to switch over to AI.
I am so super-psyched for this finale though. Thanks for the clip. I love Sayid. And Jack.
The Hugh McIntyre thing should be good too. I hope he really shows up and it's not one of those 'he's gonna be here but at the last minute something runs afoul and he doesn't show.' Even if it is related to the game, I want to see him and hear wahat he has to say.

I missed last week's episode and refused to read the recaps until I finally watched it. I found this today... http://peekvid.com/ they have most of this season's episodes on-line. (in addition to a few other shows) now on to last week's recap before the show!

I was all giddy with anticipation for this episode and got straight kicked in the soft parts. Questions answered? Pffffft. The only questions answered were inconsequential, while 30 more were introduced.
Man, what a disappointment.

Series finales are often called "cliff hangers" because they raise questions that will be answered next season...so you will tune in again.
The finale rocked, questions were answered, such as why the plane went down, if Walt and Michael would be reunited and what would happen if the button was not pushed. Yes, other questions were raised, but that is just good tv. Do people really expect to have all the questions answered in the 2nd season finale? If so, then it would be the Series finale!!!!

Now we know the answer to the question, I don't mean to be smug, but:
OK, I will be smug ;-).
Yes, since you ask, I am the one.

Yeah, that's the nature of a finale. I actually thought this was a pretty humane finale (remember the heart attacks last finale?). They gave us resolution on a lot of things.

Is the big guy who was working in the hatch when Desmond first arrived the same fake-bearded guy who is the "leader" of the others? Desmond took off to push the button after cracking his head on the rocks, he might not have died. They look very similar, if it's not the same guy. Actually, now I think Henry Gale is the LEADER of the others ...

...yet?
not many positions open but i think i'm going for anger mngmnt.
ideas...
*walt's been "compromised"
*jack's "plan" included getting caught
(hence the looks j, k & james ford gave each other pre-sack-on-the-head)
*hurley's gonna lose weight
*abc's not putting the box set out until october
ouch.

that dude who was in the hatch before desmond was the one who made sayid into a torturer.
the fake beard guy (can we still call him zeke?) is the one who argued with ethan during claire's "visit" to the medical hatch.
i agree with the fake-henry being the others-leader idea.
i don't know who was cast better this season, henry gale or mr eko.
they both rock @ what they do.

Gotta say, that Desmond is a hottie.....hope to see more of him next season.
Yes, that was the "spook" who turned Sayid into the torturer he is today in the hatch with Desmond. Isn't he also connected with Kate? Didn't he have her picture with him in Iraq????
Still psyched about the episode, can't wait to play it again. No DVDs until October??? Are they trying to kill us?

Thanks for the info on Kelvin! You are right - he is linked to Kate. I think he is her FATHER!

Yes, some answers were given, but how about answering some of the questions from the first season? Black cloud thing? Polar Bears? The pseudo spiritual stuff that had everyone thinking they were in lala land during the first season? C'moooooon. I'll be tuning in next season thanks to episodes that really stand on their own, but man. This is the song that never ends.

Kelvin wasn't Kate's Dad, Kate's dad tried to get Sayid to help with the torture but couldn't, so he brought in Kelvin who was shall we say more "convincing". Then when they took Sayid off to the desert to drop him off it was Kate's Dad in the truck who had the photo of Kate and asked if Sayid had a family.
Faux-Henry Gale isn't the leader, Mr. Widmore is. He's the one who didn't want Desmond seeing his daughter Pen (Or Miss Widmore as the two Portugese guys at the ice station referred to her)
The pregnancy test was a Widmore Labs brand test and we saw something else with Widmore on it but I'm blanking. I think Widmore's company owns the Hanso Foundation and Dharma.
I think Mr. Widmore is the guy in the window. I think he arranged to have Libby get Desmond that boat so he could take that around the world race that would ultimately and him on Lost island.
And I think Jack and Kate were doing some morse code blinking.
Damn I had multiple TVGASMS watching that finale!!

I felt like the season finale was a huge disappointment... doesn't anyone think that the writing is just terribly inconsistent? They don't follow up or answer the plot threads for the season. The characters are passive and are told what to do. They never make decisions. They just go along with what they're told to do. There were like 3 episodes that were decent out of the whole season. Come on! They don't push the button, cheap special effects and there was no major reaction from the people on the island as to what happened. It was so anti-climatic. Claire asked Charlie what happened and he just used the opportunity to flirt with her. How sad he had a boo boo on his arm. You'd think he'd be worried about Locke and Eko. It's so weird? I mean I feel like they throw out clues but they never wrap the threads up enough to have discussions about what's happening. I just feel like I'm being abused. I want to love LOST and it keeps on letting me down.
