Henry then looks over at Julie and sees the book in her hand. "So I guess I'm out of the book club." he says. Were Julie and Henry Gale involved? Gross. She totally knows what his "Oh" face looks like. Before she can answer that question they pull back and give us or reveal. The "town" is located in a valley on the island. Three seasons and three awesome season premiere openings.
After the commercial break we are in this week's flashback. It's Jack in his car outside a schoolyard. He is staking out his ex wife, or the soulless harpy as I like to call her. She is in the schoolyard laughing and smiling with another man. Is this the guy she left Jack for after he saved her life? Well we don't know because we cut right back to the present and... another eyeball! Well, I suppose its better than opening on a close-up of a perineum. That just wouldn't make sense. It's Jack's eyeball and as he sits up he sees himself locked in a makeshift dimly lit Other prison. He looks down at his arm and sees that he has a small bandage on the side if his elbow meaning he has been injected with something. It's good to know that even though the Others can beat him, shackle him and stick him in a filthy dimly lit prison, they are still worried about infections.
Jack gets up and looks around the room. The door is locked and the call box on the wall is disabled. Then he looks over his shoulder and sees an open door on the other side of the room. He walks over and BAM! Walks right into a giant plate glass barrier. It was like something out of Tom and Jerry. It makes me wonder if Jack ran off a cliff and didn't know it, would he be running in place until he looked down and realized there was nothing underneath him?
T-TOW!!
Cut to Kate waking up in a communal shower, with the now beardless other from last season looking over her. And without the beard hes a dead ringer for Warden Pope from Prison Break (I heard the secret of the island can be deciphered in Michael Scofield's tattoos). "Rise and shine Kate" he says with a smile on his face. "Where am I?" she asks. "You don't think I'm really gonna answer that do you?" he says. When she asks about Sawyer and Jack he just laughs and tells her to take a hot shower. "I'm not showering in front of you" she spits back. The Other laughs and says "You're not my type". Isn't her type? Have you seen her? Either he's gay, or the Others truly are freakish monsters. Or maybe hes just a chubby chaser. Only the mind reading fart could knows for sure.
Then we go to Sawyer. Unlike the other two, he is in an outside prison area. When he wakes up and gets to his feet, he looks outside his cell. He sees a giant pipe with a Dharma insignia on it. And it has a new crest in the middle. Looks like an octopus. He looks over at another cell across the courtyard and sees someone else. Probably an Other plant, they love to plant themselves. Of course Sawyer most likely won't figure it out until it's too late. He spends most of his time working on his sexy brooding look, so things like this pass him by. When he asks him who he is he doesn't answer.
As he looks around inside his cage he sees all sorts of odd Rube Goldberg like contraptions. A red marked foot pedal on the floor, a large red lever hanging from another contraption, and a big button with a knife and fork symbol on it above an opening in the ground below it. This is like every game of Myst I've ever played, only without the smarmy southern protagonist. When Sawyer tries the dinner symbol the first time he hears the words "warning" being blared over a speaker which makes him let go. Right as he is about to try it again the guy across the way tells him that it's a bad idea. Sawyer being Sawyer he just lets out a dismissive insult and does it anyway. And of course this all ends with him getting thrown across the room with a big electrical shock. Big dumb models.
Back in Jacks cell he looks up and sees a camera watching his every move. Gee, do you think they got a clip of him walking into that glass wall? If they send that into Tom Bergeron they can win 50 grand! He grabs the chain dangling from the ceiling and starts to pull on it until he hears a woman's voice. "Stop that". He looks over and it's Julie from before dressed in regular clothes. "Hi Jack. I'm Juliet."
In the flashback Jack is at a lawyer's office. He looks over and sees the bitch in the waiting room. She asks where his lawyer is. Jack says he fired him and just wants to try and talk her into getting back together again. Then her cell phone rings. She walks a few feet away to answer it. She says "No he just got here" and then laughs and hangs up. What could the other person have possibly said to her in response to Jack showing up that would have made her laugh? Obviously the person insulted Jack and she laughed in agreement. Jezebel! When she gets off the phone, Jack asks her what his name is. Hell give her the house, the cars, everything. He just wants to know who he is. She just walks away.
