See How the Other Half Lives -
by EdHIll
Jack tells her that whoever it is talking o the intercom can give it up. Juliet says that the intercom hasn't worked in years. Whether this is true or not is impossible to tell. I'm gonna say its not and he did hear something. This is all an Other mind game. Juliet asks him what he does for a living and Jack makes up a story about being a repo man. If it was me I would've made up a really cool job like Astronaut or the guy at the mall selling those wind up gliders at the kiosks next to the Old Navy. She then ask where their plane was flying from when it crashed and why he was on it. Those questions he answers truthfully. When she finds out that his father died she says she's sorry and that "You can trust me Jack" , to which Jack, and I for that matter, laugh. Considering the circumstances, with her being his interrogator and part of a murderous cabal of island people, you take things like "you can trust me" with the same grain of salt as a stripper telling you "Don't worry. I've been tested." Then Jack asks her the question we have all been asking for three years. "What the hell is going on here?" If it was me I'd follow that up with "Why are you on this island? Do you know how to get off? We just want to be rescued! Where is my son? WALLLLTTTTT!!!" Oh wait, scratch that last part.
Back in Sawyers pen he is trying to step on the pedal and pull the lever at the same time. As Sawyer is trying to push his buttons and pull his levers (tee hee) the guy in the next cell over starts asking about who the people on the plane were like. OK, he's such an obvious Other plant. I mean really. Have they learned nothing in two seasons? If you go undercover with the Lost crew you end up dead and/or tortured.
Sawyer ignores him and a few moment later when he turns around again he sees the gate open and the prisoner gone. He pops up into frame and starts to open Sawyers cell door as an alarm sounds. He lets him out and tells him to run. Sawyer only gets about a hundred yards before sweet little old "You can trust me" Juliette appears form the woods and taser darts his lame ass. After they drag him back to the cell, non beaded other guy shoves the other prisoner up o the cell door and has him apologize for involving him in his breakout attempt. His name is Carl.
Back in jacks cell Julie enters again. The sweet trusting Juliette. She has more food and water. Se tells Jack that the drugs they gave them have a serious side effects including dehydration, hallucination, Gas with leaky bowel movements; inability to hold bowel movement; increases in bowel movements; oily bowel movements; oily spotting of underclothes. Hearing that Jack finally relents and goes over t the corner of the room and sits down.
Back in the flashback jack is treating a patient when he overhears his father answering his cell phone again. He starts laughing. Jack's paranoia takes over and he starts to suspect his father of sleeping with his wife. He then follows him to a hotel room and when he barges in on what turns out to be an AA meeting. Jack still won't let it go and ends up starting a fistfight with him, knocking over all the "hang in there" posters with the kitten hanging from a tree branch.
Back in the cell Jack sits patiently in the corner. When Julie enters he strikes. Now that what I'm talking about! Enough of this trust me nonsense. She's a filthy Other dammit! He grabs her and pins her to the table, knocks the taser away from her hand as she grabs for it and hold s up a jagged piece of plate to her neck.
He leads her out into the hallway. At the end is a bulkhead door with a red valve. HE tells her to open it. She says she can't. If she opens it they will all die. Then from behind him Jack hears "She's telling the truth Jack". It's Henry Gale.
Jack kicks her aside and goes to open the door himself. A large groaning is heard and water explodes through the door. Henry runes to safety, leaving Juliet to fend for herself. Juliet tells Jack to follow her to the waiting room where she ahs him push the emergency button after the door closes. They are saved. But as Jack turns around Juliet, the dainty thirty something woman cold cocks him in the face and knocks him out cold in one punch.

T-TOW!!
Outside with Sawyer he has finally figured out how to get the dinner button tow work using a rock and a makeshift rope. Unfortunately since this is an abandoned zoo, the prize is a giant dog biscuit. When Sawyer turns around he sees the others bringing out Kate and sticking her in what was Carl's pen. He asks her if she's OK and she nods yes. Then he does the most romantic thing ever. He shares his dog food with her. Take that Brangelina! Kate happily accepts since there was now ay she was going to eat Henry Gale's food. I would have. I mean c'mon, bacon is bacon.
In the underwater station we see Jack waking up again. He looks at the large examining table he is on and says "Sharks?" Juliet looks at him and says "Dolphins too." Sharks huh? Perhaps sharks with huge Dharma tattoos on them?
