Those aren't cold sores, Katie is just recovering from the beating she took from Nicole Kidman who jumped her right outside of a laundromat last week. Back in the day Penelope Cruz at least had the sense to remain at home while her bruises healed after being attacked by Ms. Kidman. Nicole is apparently determined to kick the ass of any woman who catches her ex-husband's eye. Woman scorned and all that. Poor Katie. She's just not built for punishment.

You all need to grow up. First off, Herpes infects 1 in 4 people. It's not uncommon. You probably have a friend who has it but is too scared to say so because you'll judge them just as quick as you are judging Katie. Secondly, babies can get it from their mother during birth and hence, have to deal w/ cold sores for the rest of their lives. Not only are they dealing w/ the sores, they have to deal w/ close minded people like you who judge way to quickly. Thirdly - Who cares??!!!??? Just because she's in movies doesn't make her fair game for such childish comments..come on..grow up. And lastly - for all you know - you may have the little virus and not even know it, so I wouldn't be too quick to judge because one day you may have to be on the receiving end of some of these stupid comments.

Note to 'eddiebosox'. You don't have to be a sex freak to get herpes. You can catch it from someone you've been with for a long time, and even from someone you trust. Heck, you might even have it and don't even know it. Oh, and condoms aren't 100% effective, either, so, no, you're not even safe from it.

it looks more like impentego, which is a form of flesh eating disease or also known as another form of strep throat. anyways i have had that in the past and it spreads fast if untreated, which is probably why it looks like there is a rash above her mouth and if not it could be just a case of normal cold sores not herpes
