I care! I hear she doesn't want bad publicity before her movie premiere (and Nick's- he has a role in Bewitched). So they will stay together until after the premieres for good PR and then divorce.

There have been divorce rumors about them from before they even cut the cake at the reception, and of course their reality show fame made the rumors even more popular. They put their marriage in the forefront of the public eye so it became a hot topic. This rumor could be true, but it could be yet another that proves untrue. Either way, they got the career and fame boosts they wanted out of the reality show but created a monster for themselves in the process.

I wonder if it's true or not. That's all I gotta say.

Awww, I hope it's not true. I kinda like those two together, and after sampling the other reality shows with married couples (Meet the Barkers-yuck and Chaotic-boo), Nick and Jessica seem damn near Tracy/Hepburn-like.

Which part of Tracy and Hepburn do they remind you of? The part where he was married to and had a family with another woman or the part with all the drinking? It can't be the acting--Tracy and Hepburn could've done nothing but dog food commercials their entire careers and still put Nick and Jessica's talent levels to shame!

I'm still puzzling over the Hepburn/Tracy thing. Could it be the multiple Oscar wins and nominations? No, I can't recall a Simpson/Lachey tie-in there. Or, perhaps, the relationship longevity???? Hepburn/Tracy being together (not married, of course) almost 30 years and Simpson/Lachey....ok, that isn't it either. Mystery solved, I think I have identified the parallel being drawn here. Hepburn and Tracy were onscreen in a handful of movies and Simpson and Lachey share small screen time on "Newlyweds". Thus, the comparison being, both couples have been onscreen together in some capacity as no other correlation is conceivable.

I just meant in terms of the perception of them Spencer/Tracey being in a long-term relationship-illicit or otherwise- and being perceived as classy and almost aristocratic in their collective personas. N and J are no where near Tracy/Hepburn, of course, and the other couples I mentioned are even farther from that ideal-consequently, enter a little device known as sarcasm. I didn't mean for my statement to be taken so literally, i.e., comparing movie stats, Oscars, etc. Sorry if that was a bad analogy; I'll try to think of a better one next time.
