Next week marks the beginning of the final season of HBO's
Six Feet under. While some say that the show is full of irony and "dark, situational comedy," I like to refer to it as a high budget prime-time soap opera that gets great ratings and many accolades because it's on HBO. The show is well-written and well-acted, but I just never got into it. That being said, I can understand why people watch it and enjoy it, unlike, say,
The West Wing. The final season of Six Feet Under begins Monday, June 6th at 9PM EST. HBO will likely replay the entire series at some point in the future, but until then, you can
get the series on DVD at Amazon.com.

Any one on the TVgasm team watch "Hell's Kitchen"? I thought it was great and Chef Ramsey was a fucking riot!

Oh, Mrs. Papercuts! and I borrowed the first season of SFU from the library earlier this year and we were hooked instantly. We're eagerly awaiting season 2 coming available.
Unfortunately, I couldn't reccomend the show to a good friend of mine since he's a hard core Christian and there's tons o' gay sex in the show and he (and his wife) would have been mortally offended. I hate it when that happens.
Ironic, though, since he would be fine with all the casual and gratuitous heterosexual pre-marital sex. Go figure.

I'm so glad that B-side will be recapping Hell's Kitchen. Gordon Ramsey is too entertaining for tvgasm to miss!

SFU used to be a really edgy dark sitcom, but your right about the soap opera stuff.
Personally I loved it when it first came out, but the past season was beyond ridiculous with too much daytime drama. Hopefully it will get back to its roots and end well.
