Willie To Landon: You Make Me Feel Really, Really Straight -
by B-side
With the old lady out of the way, Landon suddenly saw his opportunity to strike. Waiting until the two of them were in nothing but a skimpy pair of boxers, Landon put on his Needy Helmet and told MJ "I feel like you give me half of who you are." Oh my goodness. Was this the moment we'd been anticipating all season? Would he profess his undying love for MJ and suggest a civil union in Vermont? Not quite. MJ understandably reacted defensively against Landon's attack and asked him exactly just what he meant. Apparently David had said something to make Landon feel sad and dejected. "'You don't know the MJ that I know.' And THAT's what's stuck in my head!" said Landon, passionately quoting David in the process. So he's upset that MJ's best friend in the world knows him better than Landon does? Well, I kind of understand. It was unreasonable of MJ not to have let Landon be his childhood friend too. Sadly, Landon did not break out into a cover of the Yeah Yeah Yeah's song, Maps. "Wait! They don't love you like I love you!"
Take me to bed or lose me forever, MJ.
The two guys talked through their feelings a little bit, and eventually Landon announced that "Everything is solved between MJ and I." Huh? How exactly did that happen? One late night conversation in skivvies and everything's just grand? I guess I really can't question the logic of these people too intensely. I should just be happy that Shavonda was relegated to the sidelines for the second week in a row. Can't ask for more than that.
What did you think about this episode?

didn't catch this one (thank goodness, apparently), but how much do you wanna bet that there will be big changes next season? Remember that after the London season disaster, B/M went back to the drawing board and forced the Miami cast to get a job, which they thought would "spice things up" for some strange reason.
Wonder how they'll overhaul the show for next season in order to wipe the slate clean of the disaster that is RW: Philadelphia.

my sources in austin have informed me that the real world cast there has been spotted going down the 6th street in austin every. single. night. so, my guess is that there really won't be any changes.

Philly is promoting the finale 03/08 with the cast. Yippie - How exicted. Can you sense my sarcasm? Landon's voice on the radio every other minute! Finally its over -- There is a postive note. Its not at Drinkers, Shampoo, Glam -- its at World Fushion where they were at for all about 5 minutes during the last espiode.
At least the end is near....

The lack of Shavonda was the only mercy shown us viewers in this episode. It was just awful. "the thing with phones is you can't see the person on the other side". Really MJ? is that how phones work?
And all the crying and moaning about a delayed flight....I wanted to scream.
Guys let this be a lesson to you, you do not look hot with chaw in your mouth.

Didn't you expect that David had told Landon that MJ was once a woman or was raised by wolves or something? Landon, get a real drama. They are trying so hard to create something exciting this season. When next week's preview showed Willie screaming at Sarah, my thought was that that scene lasts 2 minutes before they all hug and talk about how they resolved their "problems". Was I this dumb at that age?

I'd have to agree. Any episode that has few scenes of Shavonda, is an episode that I can stomach. However, it is painful watching MJ when he has chewing tobacco in his mouth. People still use that shit? Geez.

If you re-watch the tobacco chewing scene and image that MJ and David are mentally challenged, it's just about the funniest thing you'll ever see in your life.

I don't know about David, but for me it isn't that hard to imagine MJ as being mentally challenged. I've thought that was the case since the beginning of this season, and then that whole Muja-Star episode just kinda proved it.

I actually work with mentally challenged kids and watched this last episode with some of them. One of the little retards said to me "MJ is tho thtupid!" and another one asked "Is Landon a homo?"

Rob
You work with mentally challeneged kids and refer to them as "little retards"? That's so sweet. Are you by chance related to Shavonda?

I hate to say i told you so, but...if these two A&F wannabe's (MJ and Langdon) do not go down on each other, I will burst. Isn't it funny that all of these heart throb girls these guys pine for basically could give two shits about them?

Jenn- HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
That was awesome.

Work- Jen.
That was hilarious.
Is it just me, or has MTV in general just really gone downhill? Was it this lame when we were teenagers but we were too young to know any better?
Posted by: curlypacks | February 24, 2005 8:43 PM(#14 of 22)
Also, can I just add that, at least in the NYC area, MTV has been constantly showing those horrible commercials for ring tones you can buy for your cell phone, and they are so ghetto!? They must have spent $400 dollars making these commercials. It makes MTV look like a public access channel.

chettogirl, we have those in L.A. too. My favourite was the "Bling Queen" wallpaper.

Nate, I'm glad we are not alone in the ghettoness

I was on the Real World cameras the other night on 6th street in Austin. That was crazy.

*Old Lady Alert!*
When I was a teenager we watched MTV for the videos and an occasional episode of "Remote Control". I refuse to believe it was as lame then as it is now.
