The Ryan King -
by copygodd
Unbelievably, the last rocker in the bottom three is Dilana. T-Bag cannot believe that Dilana is up there. Honestly, neither can I. Of course, I also can't believe the song she's going to sing to save herself: "Psycho Killer" by The Talking Heads. Not that it's a bad song, but it's certainly not a Supernova song. Nor, evidently, is it a song for potential Supernova fans, as Dilana loses the crowd when she goes off on some operatic run during the chorus. It's as if Il Divo were to grow a collective vagina and... Wait, that's redundant. Anyway, it's not good. In fact, it's a total disaster. Could Dilana really be going home tonight? We'll have to wait till after the break to find out...
And we're back. Gilby says that while Ryan has clearly progressed the most since the start of the competition, they don't know if he's right for their band, Supernova. As for Storm, she's been solid over the past few weeks, but they really haven't seen a lot of growth from her. (He wants growth from Storm? Just wait until till he and Tommy get their test results back after tonight's lap dance....) And while Dilana's performance wasn't good, she's earned a ton of credit with the band. So who's it going to be? Let's ask the Tommy Hawk.
T-Bag tells the rockers that they were all awesome, but in the end it's about what's best for the band. And while Ryan's come the farthest over the past nine weeks, he's also the next to go.
"Suck it, Supernova!
WTF?!
There's no way Ryan should be going home before Storm. What do you bet the producers told the band they had to keep her, just so it wouldn't three guys and a hobbit versus one living dead girl in the final weeks? SHENANIGANS!!
Agree? Disagree? Give a crap?

I'm embarassed to admit it, but, yeah, I give a crap. I thought Ryan going home was ridiculous. Storm hasn't given one memorable performance, except for the naked boobies on the internet performance.
Dilana isn't a rockstar. Rockstars don't cry like babies and throw tantrums when they get called on their sh*t. They snort some coke and go on their merry way. Dilana needs to lay off the cigarettes. When she was crying she sounded like a frog with emphysema.

While this show is fun to watch, the bottom line is that nobody is going to buy their crap album when it comes out.
That song they played a couple of weeks ago with Dilanna on vocals was hideous. How the hell can 3 metal guys be proud to put something like that out.
Well 2 metal guys, Gilby is just a fill in poser. What the hell has he ever done besides infiltrate one of the best metal bands ever only to be a part of their demise.

Storm definitely should have gone before Ryan. But I also think Ryan wasn't going to make it all the way, so...
Go Magni!

Ryan was a dork. Superego didn't need Lurch as a front man. Dilana in her groove is the exact opposite of dork, but any of the 5 were preferable to the angry piano man.
I want Dilana to win if she keeps up with the "Mother mother" type performances and avoids songs with words she can't remember. But, it wont be her - too many Axl/Hetfield assault flashbacks. Won't be Storm, because T-boner will lose the beat staring at her ass tattoo. Won't be SamAdams Gamgee - too drunk and unintelligible (a different side of Axl)
So...Magnitoby wins by default. One can play gjuitar, the other can attract a higher class of groupie. Or at least younger ones. (I loved that better check IDs line)

I can't believe they ditched Ryan! I thought for sure it was Storm going home. Especially after Ryan's Clocks performance last night. I thought he blew it out of the park last night with all his theatrics with the piano. Then again, maybe that was Jason's weird ass comment to him. Maybe they don't want the front man showing the band up. I wasn't a Ryan fan in the beginning, and not always even now, but I thought last night when he was playing the piano, and left it the sing, jump around, run around, slide across, sit down, pick it back up where he left off without skipping a beat or screwing it up was genius and absolutely manificent! I loved it. I also thought Mangi rocked it and Dilana did awesome on her Mother Mother. Storm I put in the bottom for her performance. Personally I would have chosen Magni to do back up, not Tobi. I thought he had the better voice for the song and would have meshed better, I could barely hear Tobi and really didn't see how Tobi "stole her thunder" but whatever. To each their own I guess. The Oompa Loompa, I can't WAIT to go home. They talk about Dilana getting spanked for running off at the mouth at the clinic but what does the Hobbit do everytime the camera is on him???? How is that different? Especially when she was trying to reach her falsetto during Every Breath You Take practice and Hobbit and Tobi (?), was it (?), were openly mocking her on camera, but hey that's perfectly ok to do because that's not to the news so that's ok to "rag on your peers" as Dave put it. Love the double standard. I'm not defending her actions, mind you, but they should have been just as scolded in my opinion because everyone has been vocal about everyone in this competition about who should be here and who shouldn't. Dana's too you, Magni has a family, Jill's too sexy and not committed, Phil's here for exposure, Zayra not right for the band, why's she still here, blah, blah, blah..... They've all been doing it to the camera, to Dave on song days or elimination days, but on clinic it's wrong. Ugh!

It's great that people have finally taken off their 'rose colored glasses' when looking at Dilana - she was in the bottom three where she belonged.
Dilana, the mother dove, yeah a mother dove that rips off the heads of her babies and eats them, was showing her nerves while standing by chewing her nails (I actually thought I saw her chew off a finger.)
The song choice of Dilana, Psycho Killer, was dedicated to herself! It makes me wonder if this was some kind of foreshadowing. After all, she did say she felt like killing Lukas everyday and wanted to shoot Ryan in the head....to the media for all to hear. It amazed me to hear her say to TheDave how saying goodbye to someone tonight would be like losing a limb - she is a liar and a bad one at that. I thik she barely look Ryan's way when he was sent home packing. Her true colors are showing - she has no class like all the others! I think the front man for Supernova should have some integrity at least.

I totally thought Tommy Lee was making one of his jokes - like "even though you have grown the most you are the next to go . . . sit down with the other rockers!!!!" I was literally speechless when I realized he was serious and Ryan was gone. I truly thought it would be Storm.
I do admit it was a little awkward when Ryan was climbing up on the speakers - he was all wobbly and cautious - not very rock starish . . .
But Dilana's song was bizarre and bad and Storm is just too theatrical and goofy.
It's a sad day.

cg, i gotta tell you, it's too bad this show is so unwatchable and unpopular, 'cause (as thedave would say), you're recaps are "AWESOME, DUDE!"
i haven't laughed so much from a 'gasm recap in a while. all that stuff about dilana and the caves of the abyss is genius (likewise the 'lukas of the shire' bit), and mocking 'thedave' in fishnets never gets old. i hope j-unit & b-side will get you to recap something i actually like to watch in the fall.

Brooke said in the results show that we (the audience, I presume) now know that Magni received the highest scores of the night. I don't think that's necessarily true. Magni could have been in 2nd or 3rd place, but as long as he was consistent, he would never dip into the bottom 3. Whereas someone like Dilana could have had a kickass start and wound up in #1 because the rabid fans always vote quickest, then dropped like a rock to 4th or 5th while Toby gained a bunch of late votes as the evening progressed. Magni would still be in 2nd or 3rd, but he would be the only one who never dropped to the bottom 3.
I'm wasting *way* too much of my time thinking about this stupid show. I enjoyed last season because I liked INXS in high school. I have absolutely no joy for any of these SuperNova schmucks. The only reason I watch (and fast-forward through most of the performances) is to enjoy copygodd's recap even more.

Lukas (Pepe Le Puke) still mumbles and fumbles. E-NUN-C-IATE. Him in front of Supernova was a SuperJoke.
Magni was good and I was glad to see he wasn't hurt badly by Dilana's hissy fit.
Storm did a stage squat ala Dwight Stardust (is his new CD coming out soon?).
Toby - song good; suspenders bad. Loved the shocked look on the first girl he pulled up on stage - as if she was suddenly Courtney Cox and Toby was The Boss...
Ryan "dark horse" rocked. He was not the one who should have been TommyHawked.
Dilana...are you ok? Maybe you just need a little more eye of newt or wing of bat.

I guess I'm in the minority here, but I thought Ryan deserved to go home after his performances the past 2 nights. His "Clocks" version was not a good performance--he started at max intensity, brought it down, and went back. He blew his load too early, and my ears were offended. Worse was his cover of a great The Who song. He couldn't hit the damn notes, and then he tried to copy the mic swinging, but it ended up being ridiculously awkward because he couldn't catch it. I thought I was watching some guy rock out to his stereo in his garage, it was so ameteurish.

I agree with maketomorrow.
It's about time that the band realized that Ryan Star cannot front them. He's got a few good songs under his belt, but can't keep the vibe alive. His voice absolutely grates me to my soul. He was just yelling last night. I was absolutely aghast at the mess he made of The Who-what a horrible thing to do to such a fantastic band!
Besides, he looks too much like David Blaine to take seriously. Good riddance to a shitty songbird.
GO DILANA!!! I don't care if she's crazy-with a voice like that, she deserves a record contract(as long as someone else does the song writing).
GO TOBY-cause he's fucking hot, and I hope he doesn't get the Supernova gig, cause it would ruin him.
So I guess all that's left for me to root for is LUKASS or Magni. I don't give a rat's ass about either one and since I won't be buying supernova records, either one is fine to lead the band. Poor man's LIVE or Poor man's PEPE LE PEW. Who really cares????

I feel bad for Dilana. She knows she's the best but that the dorks whose band she could save will never choose her.
Shame on all you who hold her to a double standard. The woman rocks--and she seems to be the only one on the show who consistently can.
My money's on Toby--a nothin' guy for a nothin' band.

I agree with Jack (#8), the recaps are Philarious. And thanks for remembering to put in the fishnet shot everytime, copygodd. I don't care about the show or the results or the band or the, well you get the idea but I do love me some copygodd snarks.

I voted for Magni and MY votes saved him from the bottom three. The boy can SING! He needs a chance to sing in front of Supernova to see if he's the best fit for the band although I do enjoy watching him every week. I'm down on primaDilana now. Too much drama. Just a singer/performer is all they need. The drama can come later after they establish a following (if they ever do).

They need all the attention they can get to compensate for tepid original songs. Train wrecks sell tickets.
What would really kick ass is if Dilana fronted the House Band, and they opened for SuperDuperNova on tour. I would pay to see that opening act, plus everybody wins.

Yeah, Dilana could front any band and "make it work," as my sucky namesake likes to say. She has the presence that all the Supernova boys (except that crazy Tommy Lee) need--and true rocker sound.

Dilana is going to be cheated out of an opportunity--we can all see that coming. But she'll do well for herself anyway. She doesn't need anything from the Nova set.
