Save Lives First, Ask Questions Later -
by J-Unit

Clark saves a random stranger on the street

Unfortunately, that stranger happens to kill witnesses

He is very happy that Clark saved his life, but Clark doesn't take gifts from strangers and sends it back

Stranger, who we learn is named Graham, sweeps Lois off her feet. Also, I wanted to mention Lois and her short shorts.

Oops! Clark catches Lana and Lex kissing.

Depressed, Clark goes to party after Graham invites him. Graham sends Clark a hooker, but Clark refuses. She wasn't that cute anyway.

Thinking that the only way to make Clark happy is to reunite him with his girlfriend, Graham decides to try and kill Clark's competition. Lana walks in on the last minute and stops him before Lex dies

Graham invites Lois to see Coldplay. This is further evidence that Graham is a huge pussy despite being a famed assassin.

Clark accused Graham of trying to kill Lex and says he wil take him to the police. Graham tries to hit Clark with a metal sculpture, but of course fails to kill him

Graham spies on Clark and Chloe and learns that Clark's weakness is meteor rock

Gratuitous shot of Lois in the shower. Later, she would show up naked at her door ready to hit Clark over the head with a shower fixture. Don't ask.

Clark tried to save Lois from having to see Coldplay and, you know, the killer that she has happened to fall in love with, but Graham buries him alive with some kryptonite next to him. Clark says that Graham is going for Lex and Lana since they saw his face.

Lex knows something is wrong, so he starts shooting randomly around his hospital room. He eventually hits Graham and our vanishing boy dies a little while later.

Chloe got a front page byline. Yay!

Lana tells Clark about her relationship with Lex. Clark tries to warn Lana about Lex. Lana reminds him that he broke up with her, and says that she doesn't need his protection anymore.
This actually wasn't a bad episode, and if it hadn't been delayed until Friday, I might have done a full recap. It was just killing me towards the end when Clark was talking with Chloe about how hard it is to see the one he loves with another person, which of course Chloe can relate to very well. She has been trying to spark his journalistic interests once again, partly to get him to stop spending all day in his barn, but I am sure she is itching to help him move on from Lana. Sadly for all of us Chloe and Clark fans, I don't think it will ever happen. They are really starting to drop hints about Lois and Clark, so I am sure that will happen first. Chloe does deserve a man of her own, so maybe Pete will come back and work his moves.
The biggest news from the episode has to do with Milton Fine. Lex did some work in Washington and didn't find one government agency that admitted Fine was working for them. That doesn't mean he was no longer going to work on this killer virus for Milton Fine, but it does make him a little curious.
What did you think of this episode?

I think once they get back on track with the Milton Fine story it is going to be a lot better. I kind of like the whole Lex/Lana thing. I keep withing for a big bomb to drop with Lionel.

I liked this episode too, but I absolutely do not like Lana with Lex. I also didn't like Lana with Clark. She has no chemistry with either guy. What's up with that? Is Kristin Kreuk that stiff of an actress (wink, wink) ... and how could you NOT have chemistry with Tommy-boy, *growwwlll*!! As for Clark's love life, I think he and Lois will be good together. I've never been a Chloe fan, unfortunately, so don't really want them to be anything more than friends.
Back to Lana and Lex: how can Lana defend her new alliance with the town's resident bad boy to Chloe by arguing that Lex is honest with her, unlike Clark? Huh? Hasn't she been around for the last 6 years and seen the things that Lex has done? Whatever. I know her character has verged on evil before, so maybe the writers are taking her in a different direction? That might at least be interesting, because I can barely stomach her as things stand now. Ick.

I actually think I prefer the picture recap. Good work J-Unit.
I only really started watching this show for the Superman storyline angle (and later for Lois) but for the last couple of seasons I could pretty much get away with watching the first and last two episodes of the season. The rest is all filler.

I completely agree about the show getting bogged down after Jonathan Kent's death. They should have killed Lana! I feel like I am at a point where I am watching the show more out of habit and hope than because it is actually any good anymore.
