What did you think about this episode? Was it too early to get rid of JP? Or was the time just right?

Great recap, as always, thanks, B-Side.
Actually, Cao Boi went after the nest because he thought there were eggs in it. Of course, knocking it out of the tree wasn't going to be any better for eggs than it was for the baby booby. I'm not sure if it was a good idea to get rid of JP this early but I sure did enjoy it! And as it turned out not only did Poverty vote for JP but so did Adam and Brad. Only Nate joined JP in voting out Stephanie. Look out, Nate!

Oh! Perfect...the picture of the little booby with the red dot!
Now we all know that Mommy Booby "rejected" that baby as soon as Cao Boi put him back up. But we can all take heart that at least the baby Booby didn't have a headache when he was rejected by his mommy.
Great recap...I loved JP's shock when he was "rejected" by his tribe.

It's a total myth that mother birds won't accept a baby that's been touched by human hands. He has a decent chance if he wasn't injured in the fall.
I'm sick of the Parvati Show. She's dumb and I hope someone else gets a shot at screentime next week.

I don't think it really matters that they lost JP, mainly because they still have 3 other guys who are physically strong. However, I have to say that I think Pavarti truly is an idiot. Had she stuck with the four guys, she would have been in the best position you can be in a competitive reality show, being the "weakest" member of a strong alliance. Nobody would have been gunning for her at the merge, the alpha males would all have been big targets. If the alliance sticks together, then you ride the waves all the way to the end. If it crashes and burns, all you have to do is keep your mouth shut and let one of the "stronger" guy competitor take the fall.

"What was this? Extreme Makeover: Nest Edition? I could just imagine Ty Pennington showing up with his bullhorn and yelling, "Gooooood morning, booby family!"
I can just picture it...Awesome B-side! Maybe Michael can go to Sears and trick out the booby's nest with a giant flat screen and a stainless steel refrigerator.

boobies, boobies, boobies....the boobie alliance is what blind-sided JP....way to go girls. It's never to soon to see someone totally not have a clue at tribal council. That's what makes it sooo good to watch.
B-side...you got me really laughing with the red marked booby....classic TVGASM once again.

The picture of the booby with the red spot is pure genius. I bow to you, B-Side.
Did anyone else notice that when the subtitle "See, those are the boobies" came up on the screen, the camera focused on Jonathan's ample manboobs? I don't know if it's intentional editing or not, but I think it's hilarious.
And Candice... she is such a terrible liar. She just can't put on a poker face. The way her eyes get big whenever she's lying... so cute.

I think it was a very stupid move strategically to get rid of JP...i mean, we've seen bigger bitches and bosses on survivor, he wasn't that bad. Especially when you consider they ousted him to save STEPHANNIE!? She's completely worthless to that tribe and was so disposable. Raro has my ire up now...I will start to root for Aitu, even tho they did vote off mi hermana latina hermosa Cecilia!!!

I thought the most shocking moment was at the very end of the show, when it was revealed that Adam and Brad had voted JP off. Way to go, Strong Male Alliance.
I was cracking up when Probst kept barking at Poverty during the challenges. And when Probst told the stretcher-carriers to "hit the mat," it ended up being a command they took quite literally. The impact of the stretcher-slam on the riders was impressive.

Since Yul found the Immunity Idol they have not showed any footage of Exile Island...do they still send a crew with the poor saps and film them? Are there more clues left for them just to keep them busy digging for something that is not there? I would like to see some footage of that. Ha!

Parvati's move was probably way more strategic than we think. If she remains on the all-woman alliance, she is the weakest link and the first one gone after the guys are picked off (nevermind that the merge will probably happen well before it comes to this). But with Adam AND Brad voting to off JP, I think we see the power Parvati has over Adam.
Adam wasn't even brought into the scenerio. Brad was the only guy clued in. This probably means Parvati and Adam discussed the situation and Adam decided his best move was to vote out JP. Now, the two strongest members of this sub-alliance would be Adam and Parvati with Brad and Nick now jumping aboard. There would be a 4-4 vote if one of these four cannot get one of the ladies to vote off each other. I am sure that this is possible.
Parvati could either be #5 with the girls, or #2 with the guys. I cannot stand the girl, but she might not be totally inept.

I also thought it was funny that they now show NO footage of Exile Island. Shouldn't they know that the idol has been found by the reactions of the new ones that were sent there?
I was really impressed by Ozzy's swimming though. That boy is like a fish! I don't think they'll target him right away. JP's ouster in TC was awesome! I was glad to see him go.

As hot as I thought J.P. was, I thought it made the show much more interesting to get rid of him-and it's not like all that napping was making him win any challenges. And after Ozzy's brilliant move to throw the challenge and vote out Billy, J.P. is now the third Latino in a row to be voted off. Good work Ozzy!

I believe the smaller red fish Ozzy caught were called squirrel fish.
As much as I don't like JP, they should have voted Stephanie out. Now isn't the time to get rid of the strong players, wait for the merge! And we all know that all girl alliances never work out, so unless this is the season where girls can get along, they're going to be screwed.

B-side... so why the link to Ebisu, but not the multiple Ron Burgundy references (here & in clipgasm)? Help the challenged...
Also, and I say this with nothing but love for you, as you are officially my very favorite blogger EVER (and I know like four)...
"Actually, what we thought was Candice acting moronic was merely just an act."
"There's no "in" to go into. "Over" would be the more proper preposition, I believe."
Be careful, B-side... he who lives in redundant houses shouldn't throw prepositional stones.
"It's okay, Jonathan. We all cry when we hold boobies in our hands."
Freakin' brilliant!
Strock9 (#4) -- 1) PHEW! I was so sad about little bird, and 2) word. Poverty makes me wanna gag.

p.s. great analyses by Zharak & TWilliams -- I had assumed that Brad went to Adam, but your explanation makes more sense.

Did anyone notice that when Candice came back from Exile Island she was chewing gum? Did the crew give it to here or did she sneak it on the show?

Or, has she been chewing it all along!?
Have to agree, B-side, an inspired recap, and the wind freed Boobie, soooo classic!!!! Wish the show was half as good, but I was happy to see JP go . . . neener, neener . . .

The "sole provider" - ha!
I agree, as much as I hated JP, he really did take it very well - to admit that you were taken completely unaware without any sort of malice or hostility is rare. And actually his reaction left me liking him a lot more than I ever did during the whole game!
