Tom's Reality is Blurred (and Hot) -
by J-Unit
With that weight on his shoulders, Tom goes back to Alana and tries to tell her that they need to go back, and that she is creating it. A difficult task, because the memories of the other reality are fading, and they have a hard time imagining that they were ever separated. Tom does convince her to do what she needs to do. In order to convince her she has the power, he asks her to make a chair dissappear. And once the chair is gone, she can use her power to erase their whole universe. She's a quick learner! If this was college, it was like filling her application out on Monday and then becoming a tenured professor the next day.
Back in the true reality, Tom is at his desk. Diana asks him for Alana's file. Yes, Alana was just in for her physical. Quickly, Tom asks if the 4400 exist, yada, yada, and Diana confirms that they do. Knowing that is all true is a comfort to Tom, and he kisses her on the head, which is the most action she has had since the show started.
Tom, however, has more important things to do. He has to find out if Alana remembers him. He runs after her and finds her outside the building. They turn around, look into each others eyes, and both realize that they do, in fact, have eight years of happy memories.
I am happy that the producers didn't do a generic resolution for the dream sequence. Usually, they have the person wake up and they have no connection to what the alternate reality is, they just leave the possibility out there, and don't necessarily ever come back to that possibility. Not only do Tom and Alana love each other, but we get a hint at what is coming with Kyle's arrest. The episode didn't exactly move the plot and gave us many more questions, but it certainly primed us for some good shit to come.

Alana was the hot lesbian, Martina, from the first season of the "The L Word". She outed Jenny (Mia Kershner) in a torrid affair that resulted in Jenny getting divorced from that hotty Eric Mabius. Martina got wrote out of the second season (the unwatchable train wreck season) of the "The L Word" for undisclosed reasons. Anyway, you can see her naked, I'm pretty sure, if you rent the first season of that show. I don't specificially remember her boobies, but everyone except Jennifer Beals and Pam Grier (oh PTL) seemed to have to show theirs. Why would I know this? Some sort of strange kinship with my lesbian sisters, I guess, it certainly wasn't for titillation. Bottom line, I got a kick out of her getting another decent walk-on and escaping just in time from the train wreck to come on "The L Word".

I read that Karina Lombard was let go from the L Word due to an affair with one of her female co-stars that went sour. She was a great mindfuck as Marina and the way they wrote her off the show was lame.

Agreed on Karina Lombard and the poor way they treated her on "L Word" - thanks for remembering her name. I hope she has a bright future - perhaps she'll be back on "The 4400". It's a great show that I would have never found, except through the beloved TVGasm.

What was interesting were the hints given about the difficulties to come. The future person seemed to imply that there were events in motion that might jack their plans and they were not about to let that go down. But what does that mean? Is Assassin!Kyle a hijack that is thwarting their goals? Was Jordan Collier not meant to die? Is Isabelle working for or against the orchestrators of this plan?
How do these people keep their plan on track even as the future changes by every shift in the present caused by their interference?

Has anyone else noticed Kyle's prodigious nostrils?
