Loved the captions.

Overall, the premiere was OK. No one was really innovative or stood out. But it's bound to be a great season of boardrooms and fighting.

Predictions: You know that Markus is gonna get fired soon from the way he "answers a yes/no question in 20 minutes."

Thanks for the recap. Fabulous as always. I liked this ep and it does look as if this will be an entertaining season. My favorite part was when Kristi had that big cheese on her face when Melissa got fired, and Trump was like, I don't know what you're smiling about, you did a terrible job. Zinger!
And forget "Everyone Hates Chris", there could easily be a top ten hit show called "Everyone Hates Bally's".

Oh yeah, and no one should ever again in life be heard to utter the sentence: "Women hate me/are intimidated by/are not friends with me because I'm beautiful". It's not the beauty that keeps people away, it's that sentence and the stank attitude that comes with it.

I work out at the Bally's on 6th Avenue and 20th Street, and let me tell you that I wholeheartedly share your hatred of Bally's. The fact that the Chelsea Ballys was the GOOD Ballys is pretty horrifying. I'm on my way to the doctor to get tested for worms.

Just had to say, that pic of Trump yelling Arrrgghhh! Almost made me piss my pants. I saw the pic, and immediately wondered what the caption was...some caustic sarcarstic remark? Hahaha, oh no, a simple Tourette's inspired scream did the trick just fine. ;)

Great episode, btw! Hopefully this season will be what the first one moreso was, have a good cast with people that actually DESERVE to win. I say this especially since after the fiasco which was last season, I swore I to never watch again. I have my fingers crossed...

i was sad to see no pic of george just standing around the classroom watching those women exercise. very funny image.

also, i think marthapprentice intro has now trumped (GET IT) the donalds apprentice for best intro. i mean she has SWEET DREAMS and looks evil.

usually it takes a few episodes for people to go crazy in the boardroom, but it was nice to see it occur so soon this season.

I hate how Trump always dramatizes the losing team's performance. Kristi's team lost by $11... that's not terrible!

Melissa made for good TV but she had no shot. I think Rebecca will go far though (she didn't get much camera time).

B. Dude. How could you not mention that Markus did not get immunity? It's a good twist on the show and excellent strategy by the guys to not give him a freeby. Nevermind he didn't earn it.

As much as I loathe The Dumpster, er, I mean Trumpster, I have to admit that the show still works. But I am heartily sick of the classic "Our fliers suck" tension. How easy is it to proof something like that?

Melissa gets props for the best cab ride to oblivion. She was soooo right when she proclaimed it is far better to be first out, than to have to endure weeks and weeks of being with these fools, only to lose.

Now, why wasn't George elevated to the throne? He is senior to CK, isn't he?

#3 - too true, but even more offensive than the stank attitude, is the implication that women who don't have psycho issues with other women are not beautiful. You could see that register on Carolyn's face for a split second, like "did that bitch just say that", before she put her more tempered response.

Is every episode going to have a minor challenge before the major one, a la Hell's Kitchen?

I hate bally's. I went there for 3 years and they never had enough cardio equipment(while they had hundreds of bikes gathering dust). Their men's locker rooms were disgusting. I switched to Lifetime Fitness for more money, but 24 hours and lots of modern equipment. Lots of hotties in the Bloomington location.

I found it interesting that they eliminated Omarosa 2.0 right at the start. I figured the Donald would be hanging onto her for drama. Except the Spicy Latina did open mouth and insert foot, so I guess her firing was to be expected. Can't any of these reality shows find a NORMAL latina?
The stats on the rest of the candidates are pretty amazing. I did notice 2 common themes of financial and real estate backgrounds. It seems the Donald hand picked em this year.
I have bad feeling that this year's winner will pull another Kendra, but at least he'll get an intelligent one this time.

Yes, Pepperoni, Melissa is SO Ivette! She is not, however, as deliciously evil as Omarosa. The difference is loud vs. calm cockiness.

Melissa suffers from "Sarah Dub" syndrome (Bachelor 2005). Both Melissa and Sarah Dub have gotten themselves convinced that people (nay, women) hate on them because they're so beautiful and intimidating. But the rest of us know it's just because they're annoying and grating. And the thing that's most infuriating about the Sarah Dub syndrome is that there is no cure.

The Sarah Dub syndrome was certainly in effect on this show. Anyone who thinks people don't like them because they are beautiful is delusional...either about their beauty or why people don't like them.

Have you read their Backgrounds on the NBC website? What types of executives have that kind of a background and want to be on National TV?, scary types or actor wannabes

I love this show. and youre right, why does it seem like minorities, and creative types get fired right away or are in deep trouble.

I am tired of every task being about marketing so that it's all about making fliers and finding the best way to pass them out to the most likely customers. You can tell from a few minutes in who is going to win because one team always just hands out fliers on the street while the other uses some other method or finds a better group of people to target. Maybe in a business-themed show there just aren't many tasks that won't boil down to the same thing each week, and that is a limitation of this show.

Anyone who doesn't appreciate the wonderful service B-side provides should find a new site. We can live, for goodness sakes, without a Real World recap from last week. Let the guy have a life. Thanks B-side! You're the best.

Despite my shame for suggesting this, what if there were an Apprentice All-Star? Mix up a selected 18 from all seasons, and see who prevails. I guess Bill, Kelly, and Kendra would be too busy doing whatever they are doing for Trump, but I would love to see Tana, Maria, and Omarosa together on a task (I am debating any more TV time for Omarosa, though).

Yeah, Real World is so lame, I'm almost sad for B that he has to write the recap. Be patient. Like Christmas, I know it's hard to wait, but it'll be here soon...

Can no one tell me what the guy's exercise class was? I know it was at Bally's, but what was the format of the class? Did they not even show the viewers?

I like the twist for this season being that the project manager from the winning team does not automatically gain immunity for the next week. Guess that might have put the brakes on Michael last season, huh? I also like the reasons the guys gave for why Markus should not have immunity next task. Clever.

Markus can't hold a candle to the biggest self-promoting blow hard, our host, The Donald. The clips of Markus (especially on the phone) made no sense, as if the editors were swilling NyQuil and pasting one part of a sentence with another. Someone would have to be autistic to speak the way he came off on that call and at lunch - Bizarre editing, something is fishy.

It has been observed that when one of Trump's apprentices appear authentically well-born, Trump defensively responds with ridicule. Unfortunately this would not bode well for Markus.
