I love Arbys. There is nothing like a salty hot roast beef sandwich drizzled with some salty fake cheese, eaten with fries (i do not like the curly fries, i like the regular) dipped in horsey sauce.

I like the chicken naturals. Whenever I drive back home from Vegas, I stop at the Arby's in Baker and grab one. It makes driving into the smog of San Bernadino a little less depressing.

The only time I've ever eaten at Arby's was the morning after a slumber party when I was 7. I had the french fries. Then my parents put me in the back of the El Camino (it had a shell) with my 2 year old sister and drove us to Big Bear. I threw up all over that poor baby and have never been in Arby's again. Thank goodness there is only one near our house because just the sight of it brings back the taste of the french fry vomit even after 20 years have passed . . . well, more like 25 or 26 years. It was the first time I ever puked, and I didn't do it again until I had a cheeseburger with thousand island dressing when I was 13, and that is why I won't eat at In-N-Out either.

Hey B-side, is that the Arby's over by the KTLA building?

They closed the Arby's near me about 10 years ago...haven't seen one since.

Damn, I thought I was the only horsey sauce/potato cakes freak on the planet--once again I get that sense of belonging here at TVgasm! So sad, though, that the potato cakes are no longer on the menu, at least not here in the east/upstate NY. The only other fast food on the planet that has ever whispered my name in the night also was from Arby's--20 years ago, I had a mushroom and cheese crossaint for breakfast every day on my way to work through my pregnancy. O! Yum. The baby I was carrying at the time joneses for 'em big time, too, and he only had 'em in utero--by the time he was old enough to sample food other than what his loving ma could manufacture, Arby's had stopped selling those suckers. We get by, though, by having 'em homemade on special mornings--Christmas and Easter and birthdays and his last day home before the new semester begins and the first day home when the semester ends. OOOOH! I'm gonna hafta pick up some fixin's soon, I think...it's not the same, but it does stoke the shadow-memory...

i absolutely LOVE the fact that this whole post is devoted to Arby's!ha! you really can't go wrong with a roast beef curly fries and a cold dew (of the Mountain variety). of course you've got to drench it all (dew aside) in that fine Arby's sauce, which is suppose to be bbq but is a taste all its own.
