Speaking of zombie wives, John is taking Mary on a walk around the neighborhood and points out their second date spot. She remembers and says that’s when she knew that he was falling in love with her. But she’s not feeling too great at the moment because in addition to being undead, she feels cold and has a nosebleed. John says he’ll take her home and that Mr. Doran will know what to do.
At home, John speaks on the phone to Gavin who says there’s only one way to cheat death. Gavin says that if John doesn’t make another “payment,” Mary is not long for this world and neither is John.
Henry comes in half-dressed in a tux and tells Jane she needs to get ready. Jane is studying the info she found at the library, including clippings about something called the Order of the Dragon which held meetings in the basement on top of the dragon mosaic. She notices that in the newspaper picture, there is a door in the wall that seems to have been concreted over in a pic that she took of the space. Henry wonders why they would seal up the door. But, no time for that, because she has to get ready to go out. Also, he can’t find his cufflinks.
In the hallway, Jane finds a box addressed to her and inside is the $4,000 red dress from Olivia.
Brian NoBalls is typing and spying. Louise comes over and harasses him about their 8 o’clock dinner reservation. Across the street, Alexis stands in the window looking up at him and stripping. Whore.
Brian and Louise are in the elevator. Brian asks how she found Alexis and Louise says through a friend at Elle Magazine. As they go to get off the elevator, the door slams shut repeatedly on Louise, trapping her. She has fallen down and is half in and half out of the car, when all of a sudden, the elevator starts to go up. Luckily it stops before decapitating her, but she is not in good shape.
Time for a montage. Henry and Jane are at the symphony. John looks at a picture of his next murder victim, who I think is Greenpoint Dan from the driving range. Sketchy Nona uses a key to get into Henry and Jane’s apartment and steals the necklace that everyone likes so much.
John tries to stab Greenpoint Dan but chickens out and GD escapes. Back at home, Zombie Mary’s lying on the bed and not doing well. John apologizes to her for not being able to murder again.
Mary, Mary, why you bugging? Oh right. You’re dead.
At the symphony, Gavin gazes sinisterly at the back of Jane’s neck. She feels him looking and turns around.
Jane and Henry come home drunk and start to make out, but she’s still freaked out by Gavin’s weird look earlier that night. Henry says she’s drunk and the last few days have been intense. Jane is not pacified and asks “are we gonna be okay here?”
