Dr. Sexy is apologizes and says he was overly optimistic about his abilities to afford a Park Avenue apartment. Dr. Sexy agrees with Gavin that ER doctors make a good living, but he happens to be still paying for his education. Gavin offers him a $50K loan, which he accepts reluctantly. I’m suuuuuure that will end well for him.

Jane and Henry meet with Detectives Jarvis and Cooper.

Are you the crazy bitch who thinks she got attacked by a ghost?

Jane brings them to the dumbwaiter she used to escape from the axe-wielding ghost. She explains how she managed to pull herself up to the first floor before Ghost Peter cut the rope, but when they open it, there is nothing there but overgrown cobwebs.

This is your brain on drugs

They clearly think Jane is nutty, but they are still being polite. Henry reminds them that they have the recording of the 911 call that Jane made, but they don’t seem convinced anything happened. Henry admits that he did not see the man who attacked Jane or the man she says was murdered. They ask Jane if she saw the face of the man who came after her and she says no. Henry is angry now and says that he may not know what happened, but Jane was attacked and the police need to figure it out.

In Gavin’s office, Tony apologizes for losing track of Olivia at the party and letting the masked madman knock her out. Gavin says not to worry because the circumstances were beyond Tony’s control. Tony thanks Gavin for rescuing him from being hanged in Gavin’s office and says he owes Gavin one. Gavin is glad Tony feels that way, because Gavin has a task for him “along the lines of the other work” he’s done for Gavin in the past. Gavin says he has new information on the person who tried to run over Olivia and Gavin needs the guy brought to the Drake for a meeting.

Thugs break down the door of the warehouse where Wallace brought the mysterious box. Wallace apparently did not follow orders and opened the box because he is now very dead. The thugs take the box and torch Wallace’s body.

Jane is up early working on the computer. Henry asks what she’s doing and she acts like she’s hiding something. She quickly gets up, saying she feels like pancakes.

“Dear Penthouse, I never thought this would happen to me, but…”

After she leaves, Henry sneaks over to look at the computer and sees that she was looking up apartment classifieds on Craigslist.

The Dorans meet with Dr. Sexy, who tells them the blood test conclusively proves that Olivia had too much booze and not enough food at the party. When Olivia gets up to get more coffee, Dr. Sexy tells Gavin he has more info about the blood test. It seems Olivia also had chloroform in her system. Gavin says Olivia was a victim of foul play, but he has the situation under control. He appreciates Dr. Sexy’s discretion in the matter. Dr. Sexy agrees to keep it quiet and then affirms the money from the loan successfully made it into his bank account.

I thought Olivia’s ex was in the box. Isn’t that what they were implying during the Gavin and Shaw conversation? And why Olivia was so worried and why Gavin didn’t want her to know?

So that cop tells Henry that Jane might have mental issues and needs help. And then goes and tells Jane that he’s open minded and doesn’t think she’s crazy.
