666 Park Avenue Recap: Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?

He flatters her and wangles an invitation to tomorrow’s symphony event. Shaw is impressed that Gavin lets Olivia out of her “gilded cage” from time to time and elicits the possibility that she might be willing to jump off Gavin’s bandwagon onto Victor’s. Shaw believes that Olivia secretly wants to help him betray Gavin and all he would ask from her is a simple show of allegiance.

Jane gets onto the elevator and presses the button a few times. All of a sudden, Nona is there and tells her they are moving even though it doesn’t feel like it. They go down to the lobby which is dark and empty except for yet another Ghost Brat skipping around. This GB is dressed in more modern clothing, so presumably she is not from 1929 like the other GB.

Jane asks who she is and Nona says she is a child of the Drake, like Nona. Nona says they are connected to the building in a special way, and oh, by the way, Jane, is special too. Jane denies this, but Nona asks how she could pop into Jane’s dream like this if that were not the case. Jane wakes up freaking out again.

Henry and Brian are jogging in a park and stop to chat for a minute. Brian says that marriage is complicated, but Henry thought that he and Louise were making things work. Brian says that was before Louise slept with Dr. Sexy. Henry’s like, “wha-?” But Brian says he understands where Louise is coming from, because he’s not the same man he was when they first got married. Now he is a big pussy who goes to four different stores for soy milk and doesn’t have a job. Brian adds that Louise probably saw successful Dr. Sexy as a way out. Then he tells Henry never to get married because it changes everything. Unfortunately, Henry is planning to propose to Jane that very night. Brian offers a weak “Congrats?” and they agree to keep jogging.

Jane knocks on Nona’s door. She asks about the night before and Nona says “I told you, you’re special.” Jane says that’s not possible. Nona brings Jane in to meet Grandma. Nona says that Grandma can’t talk anymore, but she’s “in there” somewhere. She says she’s been like this for a couple of years, since Nona’s parents died. Jane wants to call social services, but Nona begs her not to, saying they will put Grandma in a home and Nona in foster care. Jane isn’t really convinced, but Nona says doctors can’t fix her grandma. Whatever is wrong with her happened inside the Drake because she was looking for answers about what happened to Nona’s parents. Nona says lots of people at the Drake die mysteriously or just disappear.

Brian is home, looking out at Alexis’ window when Alexis just walks in on him again. I thought she gave her keys back? Louise must have returned them. He’s like, “what are you doing here, Batshit?” She says she just came to say one more goodbye to him. She hugs him and tells him to take care of himself. He kisses her and she pretends that isn’t why she’s there. Brian starts to apologize by saying he just wanted her like that one more time, but Alexis wants to know what took him so long. Man, she is nuts. Anyway, they have sex. I guess.

@miss molly– there are so many awesome independent jewelers, especially in the diamond district (duh), that i think it’s way better to go to one of them than tiffany.

that said, i really don’t care for henry & jane as a couple. henry seems so vapid, like wind is constantly blowing in the empty space between his ears. even his face is blank.
