I love the faces at the end. Well a couple. Lexine looks genuine, and Madison is straight up CHOLA. We introduce the judges, and Abby says it will be a tough week. Madison repeats that she’s nervous Asia will fall to pieces on stage. They’re up first.
Lexine, Asia, and Madison are doing a cabaret trio. Right off the bat, Madison looks in control, Asia looks confused, and Lexine looks like a drag queen.
“Is my tuck showing?”
As the girls drop from standing on the stool to sitting on it, Asia doesn’t fall, so at least they have that. Asia looked a little lost out there, but over all, I think it was decent.
Abby commended Asia on her level of difficulty, and says that Madison held everyone together. Richy said basically nothing. And Robin talks about cranking a leg lift. Abby loves that Lexine looks so mature when she dances. I grudgingly agree.
Backstage, Yvette is reminding Hadley to have fun and project.
Clearly having fun.
Kelly has a good attitude about working with Yvette and is fine as long as the girls blow the judges away. Which brings up to Jordyn and Hadley’s Vaudeville duet. Right away, I feel like they’re selling the silliness and fun of the number, and I caught myself smiling at it.
I just don’t like the bikini tops.
Hadley’s turns and faces were spot on. And Jordyn really knows how to put the right attitude into her performance. They were a little out of sync on some moves, but I can forgive them for a strong performance.
As if the applause sign out of camera shot weren’t enough.
All the judges are smiling this time, as opposed to Abby not cracking her face like with the last group. Abby digs at Hadley a little for missing her side aerial, but Hadley knows exactly what she did wrong. Richy thinks no one was holding back. Robin took some time out of hooking on the corner to offer some more praise. These girls have to be safe
HA, Zack’s mom Gina tells him that he can be a pimp and rock it or get nervous like in rehearsal and tank.
That hair and nose ring are about 20 years too young for you, boo.
So let’s see how Zack, Brianna, and Elisabeth do with their hip hop subway hobo number. They take off and I’m already impressed with Brianna’s. . . I’m not using the S word. . . attitude in her movement. Even Elisabeth is giving it to us. Zack. I don’t know why they put him in a construction worker neon vest. They could have given him better.
