Amazing Race Recap: Rushin’ Russians

Twin N’s are flirting with their cab driver. He wants to take them to McDonald’s. They say they can’t go to McDonald’s because they are already too fat and he thinks it’s hilarious. These girls may annoy us, but they sure do know how to get a cab driver going.

Dong and FNL are both being movers and doing the dancing. James Dong sprained his ankle in Shanghai (did they go to Shanghai? I can’t remember!) so he is in terrible pain. But they have to do it!! They have to do the moves!!!! This is like their biggest fantasy! They MUST PERFORM! They decide to not waste time rehearsing and just go for it. But that doesn’t work, the judge is not impressed. She is not impressed with FNL either. Both teams get a brutal thumbs down.

“I think these buttons are real. It’s like these dance costumes are not meant to be ripped off.”

Twin N’s get to the academy and hand over their express pass right away. They head to the dance party. Where Dong is trying again. They don’t quite nail it, but get a thumbs up from the judge anyways. They read their clue while James gets his ankle looked at by a medic. He is in so much pain he’s biting his arm. Yikes! They must now go to Sokolniki Park which is the pit stop! Wow, this Russia leg was quick. The last team to check in here, MAY be eliminated.

FNL gets their dance right and they run! Dong vs. FNL cab race to first place!!

Twin N’s get suited up for the dancing, they start to do the squats and Natalie rips her pants her pants open! The Russian dudes love it. Maybe they did make a stop at McDonald’s after all.

They must have gotten the tear away ones by mistake.

Choke Out heads out into the world while Goat Boys sit and wait out their penalty. Choke Out is pumped to get to the top again. Ryan says something about how the taste of victory is getting in their mouth and I don’t think he could have said anything grosser.

Team Dong gets out of their cab and runs to Phil. They are team number one! They are going on a trip to Costa Rica. Oh good for them. There are probably plenty of banana hammocks in Costa Rica. FNL comes in as team number two.

Twin N’s get their dance right away and then assault their dance instructor while trying to high five him. Easy ladies, forced high fives make everyone uncomfortable. And they bring to mind the time Ryan Seacrest tried to high five blind Scott MacIntyre on American Idol. Awkward.

Choke Out gets to the time zone challenge. Ryan’s up to bat and he’s tasting victory in his mouth all over the place because he loves brain puzzles so he’s got this! He is super cocky about it. But his answer is “NOT CORRECT!” Maybe he was confusing brain puzzles with restricting oxygen to the brain by choking.
