Hi again Gasmii!
Here we are in the sixth episode of America’s Next Top Model and the competition is getting stiff. It’s hard to predict who could possibly win this stellar modeling competition when so far they’ve had to pose like dead animals, pose like natural disaster victims, walk in horrendous clothes while doing their own styling, walk down a booze slicked bar top, and make fools of themselves on the streets of Santa Monica in the name of acting. What else could Tyra possibly throw at them to determine who is the best girl to win this coveted title? Maybe she’ll settle down and start giving them challenges that actually teach them a little something about modeling. Or maybe not.
This week’s episode picks up after Leila’s shocking elimination. The girls all return home from panel to find Nastasia’s best photo featured on their wall. No one is fawning over her picture like they did when Laura won, but they are at least saying a polite congratulations.
As Nastasia tells us she won best photo, her celebratory exclamation is this really weird creepy noise that reminds me of that sound they make when evil things dispatch laser beams to destroy stuff on the Justice League of America cartoons.
Nastasia has the stunning realization that since Leila, a favorite, was eliminated last week, that means anyone could go home at anytime. I wonder if she passed on being a Rhodes Scholar for this competition…
Laura is confiding in Victoria, of all people, about her need to just do her own thing and focus on the competition. She comes on in confessional and tells us she’s over the girls. Which is hilarious since she sort of stirred the pot and created all the drama last week. Maybe she regrets ever attempting to be Kristin’s protege.
Meanwhile, Brittnay is still shaken up from panel and trying to debrief the situation. She can’t believe she survived against someone as strong as Leila. She’s mortified that her social media score was significantly lower and worst of all she’s hurt by Bryanboy’s reaction. Last week, we saw him turn to the other judges after it was announced that Leila was going home and say, “She was my favorite girl.” What it didn’t show was the look he turned and gave Britt right after.
Ugh. I can’t stand it any longer. Bitchy gay boys do not make good tv, Tyra. I must take action.
