The next day, the girls are brought to the Universal Studios lot where there are remnants of the War of the Worlds set. Laura says she feels like a top model, just by being on a set that once had the vapor essence of Tom Cruise and Steven Spielberg.
Droopy-eyed Laura is a favorite because she can almost make Tyra’s ideas seem valid.
Useless Johnny W welcomes the girls and informs them they will be “showing us how good you are at working your bad side as a zombie.” Ah, yes, I can see how that ties in to the challenge of making a fool out of themselves on Third Street Promenade. These girls are lucky to be learning so much!
Victoria tells us she’s worn some prosthetics for some independent film work, but nothing as major as what they are being dressed in. What is the story with this girl?
Time to find out:
Victoria Henley, of ANTM fame, also goes by the name Victoria Elizabeth Henley on IMDB. She is the star of a few short films, incluing As I Am, a sappy story with a singular plot line about a man missing the love of his life who still appears everytime he looks in the mirror. It was so drivel, I had to fast forward through most of it, despite it being a short film, but basically the man first is trying to seek a way to free his lost love from the mirror. With the help of a badly over-acting witch (probably Tyra’s favorite character), the man finally sets his lost love (Victoria) free in his mind and can now see himself in the mirror. With swelling music fit for an epic film like Gladiator, the movie ends with his newly freed heart. It is complete crap. But at least they speak in Shakespearean rhyme.
In addition to being old enough to be her father, he has rotting black teeth.
So my take is that Victoria is actually a talented actress who is a plant on this cycle. Tyra couldn’t find an on-line college student willing to do her show, so she created this unsocialized mommy needing mess that we see in Victoria to give her house some interesting drama.
Victoria is up first for our zombie shoot and here’s the instructions she gets from her helpful coach, Johnny Wujak. “You’re looking a little scared in the eyes.”, “Remember to work your bad side.”, “You look like you’re lounging on the plane right now.” All he can do is tell her what isn’t working. He comes on to tell US that he feels like Victoria is only staying with one thing and she needs to bring some diversty to her shots and keep moving.”
Why don’t you tell me that, Johnny?
