Johnny is trying to get her to growl or something to help her change up her look. At the end of her shoot, she’s holding back tears of frustration as she tells Johnny that what she thinks is not pretty seems to still be considered pretty, and she doesn’t know how to fix what’s not working.
I’m sorry I’m so gorgeous that I can’t make ugly.
Shouldn’t that mean I’m gonna win this thing?
Kristin’s problem is she’s just lazy. It doesn’t occur to her to actually put forth some effort to create different looks. But since she claims she doesn’t understand, (instead of the truth that she can’t be bothered), let me illustrate for her another naturally gorgeous blonde who gives different looks and is quite successful as a model.

Kiara and Johhny have a chat about her social media scores. She is rightfully concerned that America doesn’t know what to make of her and right now her scores are low. We get another blurb of her beaten as a kid and raising her siblings alone to wrench our hearts, but I’m a little confused. The votes already occurred way before this episode aired, so why are we being appealed to as if we can make a difference now in her future? Whatever is going to happen has already happened, so this just makes no sense and further illustrates the ludicrousness of social media scores for girls we don’t know.
Somehow, I guess, the girls are supposed to convey likeability through their pictures.

Sadly Kiara does not seem to be delivering on this photo shoot. Johnny tells her to be less elegant and more hungry. He demonstrates. Buttheadboy says really?

Shut the uck fup, Bryanboy! You have absolutely no experience in this venue. As worthless as Johnny is, at least he knows what Tyra’s artistic vision is. You taking digital pictures of yourself on a daily basis in retarded clothes in no way gives you enough expertise to have a say. Tyra, if you really are interested in what social media has to say, you will fire this asshole right now, because NO ONE LIKES HIM!!!!!

How in the eff did this slide at panel?
I am completely vexed by the arbitrary scoring of the judges. They say they hate a picture…but give it an 8 or 9, and say they like a photo…but award a 4 or 5. WTH???
And, of course, the “social media score” can be whatever the producers want it to be. There is no way to prove the honesty or dishonesty of those “numbers.”

Yep. Victoria is an ACTRESS. Not a shy homeschooled girl taking online courses at Liberty U because away college is too worldly and sinful and away from her mommy for the first time in evil Hollywood. She is an ACTRESS. This whole season is such BS. It seems to me like there are a handful of girls who are actually sincerely competing and others who are plants to make sure there is drama in the cycle. The whole thing is just a travesty even for reality TV. Tyra is such a narcissistic bitch. I hope this is the last season, it’s just not fun any more not even in a trashy way. It’s like watching someone abuse puppies.

Kristin thinks she’s far more wonderful than she really is.
What’s the deal with contestants saying other contestants don’t “deserve” to be there? What exactly does one need to do or say to “deserve” to be part of this, or any other, reality show?
And, yes…Tyra has a giant forehead. A receding hairline, probably from years of bad weaves.
Victoria, although I hate her, should have gotten extra points for being pelted with fried fowl.

The snotty comment Kristin made to Johnny reminded me of the attempt at humor that was made at the bull fighting ring a few years ago. One of the models made some foolish comment to Nigel that offended him mightily…and she paid for it. But Kristin seems to be Teflon.

I don’t think Victoria is a plant solely because when she’s on screen she’s kind of convincing and I believe her. She’s always in character all the time which would be hard to do 24/7. I don’t think an amateur actress would be that convincing. Plus this is reality tv. All sorts of crazy are attracted to reality tv. Why hire and pay someone for fake crazy when the real crazies will come to you for free? What I think happened this cycle is that they purposefully chose girls who had the most dramatic stories or personalities in an attempt to create better drama. I think in previous cycles some of these girls would have been filtered out.
Victoria SAYS she is a homeschooled girl who is super attached to her mommy and has a hard time being away from her and attends online Liberty University and must remember to don ‘the armor of God’. FACT: Victoria is an independent film actress who disrobes at the drop of a hat and can sit around the set naked with no self-consciousness whatsoever while waiting for her close-up, Mr DeMille. Conclusion: Everything she says and does is OTT in the service of her ‘story’ including her calls to her mother and she chose to take the Tyra suite alone probably because it gave her respite from having to fake 24/7 is my guess. She is a fake. Nothing about her rings true. She is simply there to make sure that Tyra gets interesting drama and funny talking heads so the season doesn’t totally tank.
Victoria doesn’t seem shy. In fact she seems quite outspoken as NMJ said she wouldn’t stop speaking at the first photoshoot. She also doesn’t seem to have any self esteem issues as awkward girls from past cycles have had (probably because she really was homeschooled so she never had to deal with not fitting in and being picked on at school) so I wouldn’t expect her to have any reservations about nudity especially if she’s been acting for a while. If she was really a hired actress I think she would have made a huge deal about the nude photoshoot. That would have been a great opportunity. Just because it seems like Victoria’s mom is really religious doesn’t mean anything about her choice to pursue a career in the entertainment field. People pick and choose what religious values they will uphold. Especially if it conflicts with who they are or what they want out of life.
*As Tyra hands Yvonne her photo, she still has another one in her hands. What is up with that? She specifically said she only had nine photos in her hands when she started. Am I crazy? *
That is a back cover with the ANTM logo in Tyra’s hand, not the backside of another picture. She always has it when she pulls out the last picture, but then doesn’t when she hugs the losing girl.
I think Ty-Ty is scraping the bottom of the barrel for photo ideas. Zombies? And the makeup and sets are horrid. Time to start recycling photo shoots, or hey, quit filming this mess of a show.

I think the whole “teaching acting thing” was the beginning of the end. At some point, Tyra thought acting was important for models. Which, is mostly crap. Models just need to look pretty and walk, let’s be real. But, the bigger shame is that Tyra was once GOOD at acting. I loved her on the Fresh Prince of BelAire. She was good in Coyote Ugly… it wasn’t until after this ANTM got it into her head that acting = over the top that all of a sudden, she’s a wackadoo. She had an appearance on some Disney Show over the summer as a librarian, and shoo if didn’t overact more than the Disney brand of overacting academy teaches those poor children.
Anyway. This season is crap, there’s no real judging or photo shoots and I can’t stand a single person involved, model or otherwise. I gave it a shot after her firing the only apparently sane people involved. I say PEACE OUT, it’s been entertaining while it’s lasted ANTM!

I hate to say it, but Kelly is the only tolerable person out of the bunch. Yikes.
I seriously do not think Victoria is that religious. I know she’s a Liberty student, but I don’t know. I read this interview: http://ulife.com/model-student-victoria-henley/ and I just think it’s odd that Liberty’s denomination never came up if it were that important. And even if the school is mega Christian, I feel like that’s a bit moot because she doesn’t even really go there. She takes classes at home. It’d be one thing if she lived on campus and was fully immersed in the school’s culture, but she’s not. And how Jesus-centric can the online lessons really be?
I also know that her mom said Armor of God, but that’s pretty much standard Bible fare. I’m a regular Christian, and whenever I left the house, my mom was like Have a good day, don’t forget your Armor of God lol. By itself, it’s honestly not that compelling. I think she’s just a homeschooled, extremely sheltered girl whose mom likes Jesus alot, but maybe not as much as some of the more fundamental groups.
I really wish she would come on here and comment on this. Does she have a twitter?
And I think Johnny actually earned a little bit of his paycheck this week. The shoot was still pretty lackluster, but at least he said stuff this time around.
And about the extra paper Tyra has in her hands during the photo ceremony, I think it’s just a cover sheet for the photos. If you look at past seasons, she always has it.
I want to stab Bryanboy with a stiletto. I still cannot figure out how people like him, Andre Leon Talley, and Kelly Cutrone are so huge in the fashion world with the way they dress and look. No thanks. I’ll stick to my jeans and t-shirts if that’s what it means to be “fashionable”.
Destiny’s story annoyed me from the beginning…why go to an elite beauty school like Aveda if you’re that poor? It’s around $20k to go to that school. There are a ton of smaller non-chain beauty schools that would be much cheaper for her and probably easier to get some sort of scholarship or financial aid.
I’m starting to think Victoria is our modern day Carrie.
What was with all the girls wearing black to panel this time? Why no schooling during panel like she has done every other season? No calling out their clothing, make-up, hair (i believe she has said one or two things) etc. This show seems to be on H2O and fading fast.

This season is unbearable and the whole social-media, scoring thing is boooooorrrrrring. There’s no discussion among the judges about the models, it’s just a numbers game and who gives a fig about what some twits say on twitter? But most offensive is Tyra’s whole ACT. She cares nothing about empowering young women, she cares about manipulating them for ratings (fail!), making a dime off their travails (exploitation!), and creating a platform for her own ego (narcissism!). The first few years of this show were compelling. Now it’s just pathetic and gross. I won’t watch anymore.
@ kinickimac: I agree with much of what you said, however, I just had to chime in that modeling is *not* just walking and looking pretty. I’m guessing you realize this and just threw that in there for shits and giggles. I just feel the need to make sure people know the modeling industry is ULTRA competitive, stressful, and difficult. Models have to have a iron shell around themselves just to avoid flinging themselves off some random rooftop because they’ve heard from eighty-seven different people they’re not good enough, pretty enough, skinny enough…you get my point
Modeling is NOT for the weak.

I really have to wonder if this is the last season and Tyra just doesn’t care. Two girls refused the make-over, we have lip at panel, lip at the photo-shoots etc and nothing is said. She was good with Victoria refusing the make over and her apology. In past seasons that got folks sent home. Is she letting social media do the bitchy work for her?

I thought Victoria was best with the acting challenge. Even the food being chucked, she handled it. What an ass to throw food at a girl tho, did he not see the cameras . . .

I don’t necessarily think Victoria is a plant either. I think maybe the fact that she was so sheltered growing up is the reason why she doesn’t have the same hang ups about nudity that some other girls on past cycles have had. She was never learned to be embarrassed or ashamed of her body. I don’t think home- schooled and sheltered necessarily equals shy and reserved.
Kristin is grating on my nerves. You can tell she was that girl that was always told how pretty she is and thinks that’s all she has to be to win.

I didn’t take the whole “Victoria is a plant” thing seriously. She’s not. But it makes a nice conspiracy theory.
When Kristin was all, “I can’t laugh at your lame jokes,” I thought, “Okay, here we go, this is gonna be good.” And then NOTHING. HAPPENED. Jay Manuel would have served that girl so much steaming shit on a silver platter for saying vapid, useless, insulting, ridiculous crap like that. He would have thrown a “Then why are you on this set?” or a “So you think you’re a better shoot director than I am? Go ahead.” in her face and served that mutha f**ka. And Johnny didn’t say a damn thing. Any other cycle and that shit not only would have been brought up in panel, but Tyra and the panel would have made Kristin cry, and it would have been awesome. And then Kristin would have been in the bottom two for her attitude and possibly sent home. But no. That didn’t happen. If you ever needed evidence that a.) Johnny is under contractual obligation to suck, b.) everyone involved is completely through about giving a shit about this show, and/or c.) this cycle is a joke and they’re blatantly keeping people involved for the drama (because, let’s face it, other than Kristin and Victoria, the girls are as flavorful as tofu), then there it is. This cycle isn’t about the photo shoots at all. I feel for the girls who have been duped into thinking this cycle is just like the rest (although the lackluster prizes should have been a tip-off).
Also, Johnny’s hot. If he told me to thuck it, I totally would. As much as he stinks at being the shoot director, I totally would. I would thwing on that until next Tuesday.
Also, the girls could learn a lot about acting from Tyler Perry. He’s been playing the role of a straight man for 43 years! Thank you! I’m here all night!

Do you guys really think Victoria is a religiously home-schooled actress (given that her one cited acting credit does not sound like religious fare). I agree with Luscious and Andyourlittledogtoo — she’s a total plant. To say that she’s always in character is a moot point, since viewers only really get to see what the producers/editors want them to see. It’s ridiculous to think that Victoria comes from a background that is so religious that she can’t even leave her mother to attend and ultra-christian campus, but she’s perfectly find pressing her naked boobs up against a strange half-naked man. No way in hell (or in heaven for that matter).

@Lizbot, maybe she didn’t go to campus because she didn’t want to leave her mother for long periods of time and not because of religious reasons. She also said that she preferred online classes because they were convenient and would let her pursue her goals in the entertainment industry while keeping up with school.
People just assumed that she’s in some kind of Christian cult because of the college that she doesn’t even really attend. She’s never actually done or said anything that is evidence of her being super-religious.
I don’t think she’s a plant either. She’s just weird as fuck. And in the beginning, the weirdness was scary and annoying, but now I like it LOL.
I’m with you, chaos. Other than attending Liberty University online and her mom’s “armor of God” comment, she hasn’t done or said anything that makes her seem like a zealot. Weird? Yes. Co-dependent? You bet. But a zealot? I don’t think so. I kind of like her now as well . . . Oy.
IMHO the issue I have with Victoria’s supposed religious background is the other cycles the chicks who were religious were adamant about not showing too much skin or doing things that make them look less than angelic. Who was the one who wouldn’t shoot in underwear but would in a swimsuit? The only explanation I have for Victoria (where is dad by the way) is she is finally “free” and like some sheltered women is doing a 180 from her childhood and being okay naked snuggling up to a stranger would be a 180 to a religious household. Either that or Victoria has been in the game long enough mom has come to terms with. They might be dead broke and need Victoria to work for income. There is something with Victoria that is not passing the smell test.

i watched almost every Cycle of top model and this one is OKAY. i knew it wasn’t about finding real top models since season 7!! But i HATE she eliminated Jay Manuel! He was REALLY good at being Tyra’s eyes and ears, reporting everything at panel and only one Teaching the girls how to model, cause he KNEW what worked! Miss jay i could have lived with out, but MR. Leon Tally was a Huge star judge, i loved him. the whole “Numbers game” theory of this season is right on, Did anyone else catch 666 scores 3X like i did? one was upside down aka 999, it just urks me at how cryptic that is along with the Theme of the Photo shoots!! were close to 2012 and i just didn’t enjoy this episode. i was uncomfortable instead.
Victoria is most definitely acting a part for this cycle of ANTM. The over the top phone calls to Mom back home – come on. If you look at her acting video, one would think that she is accustomed to being away from home and doing all kind of things that presumably Mom wouldn’t approve of. She is playing a character that she has decided to portray, just as she does for the photo shoots. Gets her lots of face time on camera afterall. She is not some shy and backward homeschooler away from home for the first time. Nunh unh.
