Arrow Recap: If the Glove Don’t Fit, You Must Acquit

ISLAND

Hoodie puts Ollie in the cave, hands him a bag of something, and commends him for being stronger than he thought.  Then he leaves to lead the Others elsewhere.  Oliver tires to follow, but O.G. Hoodie blocks the entrance to the cave with a boulder or something.

Whaurel meets with Oliver, and she has the results of the polygraph.  She brings up the prison where the vigilante saved her, which also happened to be the same one where she and Oliver went on an eighth grade field trip.  Do people really take field trips to prisons???  Or was it some sort of scared straight program?  She knows he probably lied on the prison question, so if he lied on one, he could have lied on others.  She thinks he could be the vigilante since she’s seen his scars, but he says he doesn’t talk about the island because he doesn’t want people to think of him as damaged.  She says nothing can ever happen between them, and he agrees.

Maybe she feels guilty about abortion she had after he went missing.

At HQ, Diggle and Ollie gab about everything that’s happened.  At Queen mansion, Steele packs his shit to take a business trip to inspect their holdings in Australia, in order to get away from that lying bitch Moira.  Ollie says not being able to tell his family the truth hurts him the most.  Ollie goes off to stop Mueller, who got away from Diggle.

Peekaboo!

Arrow interrupts the deal that is going down and hands all their asses to them.  He aims and arrow at Mueller and tells him that he’s failed this city.  The screen goes black, and we hear the arrow hit and a scream.  Yikes!

This week was once again light on the shirtlessness, but I think I saw a promising preview for the next episode.  So how was this one??  I’m still finding it fun and exciting!  Whaurel needs to get some more depth, since there’s really nothing to her.  Same with Thea.  Fill her out, or get the fuck out.  What do you guys think?  Are the Others the same people that Captain Jack and Moira work for?   Since in the comics, Laurel’s mother was the original Black Canary, will she come back and beat some bitches up?  I’m not letting that one go!  And when will Ollie and Tommy finally get wasted and touch each other?  Chat all about it in the comments below, and I’ll see you guys back here in a few days!

BTW I showed the picture of the Clown motherfucker to my brother, and he immediately recognized him as the DC Comics character Deathstroke. For those of you dying to connect Arrow the comics.

The synopsis for each episode usually mentions any DC character making an appearance. If anybody has seen the cartoon Teen Titans, Deathstroke is the main villain known as Slade, they changed his because of ratings or something. Ron Perlman voices him on the show. I wish that we got the characters for more than one episode. And for more than just 5 minutes. What’s the point of including them if they’re not going to use them?

What happen to Oliver opening a club to hide his base? And what happened to Laurel going out with Tommy? You would think that would have come up during scene. Or when Laurel was talking about how anything can’t happen between her and Oliver.

I took a field trip to the police department once, but to be fair the nearest prison is like an hour or 2 away.

I wish we got to see Diggle fight more.

Really grateful for your recaps; my DVR recorded this week’s episode but took it upon itself to dump it before I’d seen it. Then I discovered that CW is nowhere to be found in my Time Warner OnDemand, so my deepest thanks for coming to the rescue and keeping me au courant with my latest guilty secret.
