Basketball Wives LA Recap: Oh The (Habitat For) Humanity!

Much like at a horse race, we’re off… Just don’t get too excited…

First up, Brooke is having a private launch party of Touch Me lingerie. She didn’t mean to keep it a secret, but she did. They talked about how awesome Jackie’s fashion show was and that Brooke got the cover of King Magazine. (She did?) Bambi said it was fked up that Draya didn’t show up.

Brooke hands out the Touche Moi bags and then pulls up her dress to model them. She asks the girls to try on the items in their bags. They did and I can’t unsee it… but seriously, I can find that sht at Target. It wasn’t anything special. Bambi interviews that Draya is gonna be upset she missed it, since she has her own line too. Bambi is quickly getting on my nerves.

It’s French for WalMart.

 They’re so unique. 

Jackie owns a record label but she’s never been in the studio and now that she’s found reality tv fame, she’s decided to release a song. She invited Bambi to come by to help her out. Jackie raps about “black, coochie, fade, something something something”… and it’s awful. Bambi’s shorts are distracting. Once they have it completely auto-tuned, you can barely hear Jackie’s voice and that’s a great thing.

I wanna be a gangsta rapper like Bambi. 

 Yo. You don’t just become a rapper. I worked with AutoTunes for like a whole weekend.

Malaysia invited Draya and Bambi out of dinner because her Skittles have been turning. She wants the ladies to go to New Orleans to build a house. Draya’s initial response was probably the most honest. She leans back, looks disgusted and says “So, Imma have to do charity work?” Malaysia beams with pride and Bambi’s gums pop out for a quick hello and then they are all on board.  They’s giving back, yo. Malaysia promises that she’ll take lots of pictures of Draya for her to Instagram to her adoring fans.

 So, this “volunteer” work… what do I get out of it?

They bring up Brooke’s King cover party and Draya says she didn’t go to the party because she had a sour attitude. Bambi asks if she knew about Brooke’s new panty line and Draya’s like “No, and isn’t that weird because we is all friends, so why didn’t she tell me”? And I’m thinking, because you’ve been bitching at her for the last two weeks and you’re not really friends, you just been knowing each other through the industry. (Do you like how I’m getting the hang of their speech patterns?)
