I’ll preface this recap by saying that I’m not in a good mood… That said, Happy Thanksgiving! I hope all of you who celebrate Thanksgiving had a great one, and to those of you that don’t, count yourself lucky. Anyway, I’m irritated today and the women on this show don’t help one bit. So I have decided that rather than picking sides, I will choose to dislike them all.
Some people said they didn’t know the ladies real names because I was using the “Spice” references, and others said they needed the real names. So I’m going to use their real names. You can match up their “Spice” names in the premier recap for Season 2.
This week on Basketball Wives LA, we start with our first lunch meeting between Jackie and Gloria. Jackie wants to talk about New York Fashion Week and how she prays that Gloria will only say nice things, even if it means that Gloria has to lie. Jackie then brings up Laura’s behavior and Gloria blows her off like she did to Malaysia last week. Gloria interviews that she blanked out and fell asleep.
So, even if you hate my clothes, just tell me you love them.
Okay, by the way, I love how you look today, Jackie.
Malaysia and Bambi were so moved by the 3 minutes they spent with Educated Ballers last week that the school was able to hook them up with two girls that they could mentor. The girls are Michelle and Maya and they meet the cows ladies in a lunchroom. The girls look like this was more of a punishment than an opportunity. (They also looked like they might be more interested in the WNBA, if you know what I mean.)
We’s boff from Compton, yo, and we’s here to mentor you.
Um, my mom’s a doctor and my dad owns your apartment building. And your rent is late.
Malaysia and Bambi ramble on about growing up in Compton and the importance of getting their stories out there and having role models. Bambi asks if they graduated, they have. Then Bambi asks if they are interested in fashion. Maya and Michelle just stare at them and wonder if Bambi even graduated from clown college. Turns out Michelle wants to be a social worker and Maya wants to work in a juvenile offender ward and they are both already enrolled in college. Haha. Suck it, Malaysia, these two young ladies should be the mentors. Bambi says that they can help them get jobs. My money is that Bambi will be asking them for a room to rent by next season.
We mentored the sht out of them.
