They are dressed completely inappropriately, unless they are trying to show these young girls that they shouldn’t dream to play ball or go to college, but to snag the first baller that looks their way. Malaysia is channeling her inner Erykah Badu. Bambi is channeling her inner whore. They talk about grades and college and the sky being the limit… (Girls, the sky isn’t the limit… there’s a ceiling… and it’s lower than you’d like to think.)
Hey look! ‘Real’ kids.
Hey look! ‘Real’ jump-offs.
So sad, ‘real’ future jump-offs.
Gloria is shooting her webisode and considers herself Ms. Hollywood. She is getting ready for an action scene and has a “squib” in her leg so it will look like she’s been shot. There are lights, and camera, and action. And Gloria didn’t look bad. It seems like a lot of work for a webisode, but what do I know… my spellcheck doesn’t even think webisode is a word. She’s happy with her work, and I won’t totally mock it at this point, because I couldn’t run and jump in pleather.
A look at my first ‘real’ webisode.
And Gloria’s first ‘real’ job.
Draya meets up with Bambi and they both realize they’ve chosen shorts that are too small for their bodies (read, age). They hug as they wait for Malaysia. Draya wants to know what happened with Jackie in Seattle, but it’s blown over with talk of Fashion Week. Apparently Draya is going, and while she’s not sure if she modeling, she does have some “things lined up”. (Like married men in hotels?) Draya says it’s a big deal.
Malaysia brings up her 80s themed skate birthday party. They are all excited. Bambi talks about how annoying Laura is and Malaysia says that Laura is nice, but Bambi said that it’s only because Malaysia hit Laura in the face last season.
My gums are ‘real’ big.
But you are a ‘real’ model.
And I’m ‘real’ drunk.
I’m ‘real’ confused.
Finally, it’s 80s themed skate birthday party night and everyone is going to be there. Malaysia looks great. Bambi and Brooke choose thongs over tights. Jackie looks like she ate Rainbow Bright and Mr. Gargamel (from the Smurfs). Bambi comes and sits next to Brooke and Brooke was all “wha?” and Bambi was all “do you hate Laura?” And since she did, they fell in love and are BFFs now. As her BFF, Brooke should tell Bambi that her glasses are dumb. They both put the “span” in “Spandex”.
