Watch out New York Fashion Week… here comes ugly.
Hello, My Name is Ugly.
We’re in NYC and Jackie is working her ass off to get ready for her first New York Fashion Week show. Brooke shows up first and they talk about how surprised Brooke is over the ugliness of Jackie’s line. Brooke is nervous to walk in the show because she’s an urban model and she has a big butt.
If Brooke is an “urban model”, then I’m extra urban.
I’m not used to putting clothes ON… is this a closed set?
She tries on one of Jackie’s pieces and Jackie thinks it looks great, and she loves how Brooke managed to put it on backwards. Malaysia walks in and appears to be on a Kim Richard’s cocktail. And I’m jealous. Draya is with her and they jump right into the clothes. Draya tries on a Peter Pan colored jacket with animal print shorts and I realize that my tastes stray to the far, far right of theirs.
Jackie starts interviewing about how much she wants Laura to show up. I’m sure we’ll hear more about this all night.
Brooke tells everyone that she is hosting a dinner to celebrate her getting the cover of King Magazine. She tells Draya that she’s invited even though she hurt her feelings last week when she didn’t get excited enough about Sean talking smack about her on speakerphone. Draya doesn’t seem interested in going to the dinner anyway, so I say, who cares? But you know who cares? Brooke cares.
Draya goes on to dig her grave when she says that being in a magazine is no big deal, it’s actually more for the fans than for the model. She claims it’s like giving the fans a gift, like charity. And she doesn’t brag about doing charity work, so Brooke shouldn’t be so excited about the cover. Holy Crap, Batman… what a moron. (Says the chick watching the episode for the 5th time.)
So, the set is closed, right?
Of course, can’t you see the door? It’s closed. Move on.
Anyway, they agree that they are here for fashion week and that Draya just doesn’t care about the magazine. The conversation goes on, and on, and on… Thankfully, Malaysia is there to spread her peanut buttery voice on us all and tells them they need to go.
My eyes are a closed set.
They are all going to the Stevie Boi fashion show. Gloria and Brooke are walking in it. The rest of the ladies are sitting on the sidelines. (Like they would if they were actual basketball wives.) Laura asks Jackie if that’s a real mole on her face and Jackie says it is, but she darkens it for effect… but it’s okay, y’all because she does have a real mole behind her ear. Whatever, I have “suspicious moles” that I don’t give that much attention to… Draya is beside herself because Jackie and Laura are talking and it doesn’t make any sense to her. Laura tells her to just not worry about it, that Jackie and Laura are being Jackie and Laura. But Draya can’t handle it, she thinks it’s all insane. Draya has red and green spot lights hitting her face, and I keep hoping that a sniper is ready to pull the trigger.
If you like it, spread it!:

Can someone give me the rules on how much excitement I am supposed to exude for a friend who got the cover a of magazine in which the owner of the magazine didn’t handle my requests that were made before the shoot started?
I am not sure Brooke saw what happened. Draya didn’t turn sour on the situation until the owner guy was talking shit about her. I wouldn’t have been able to fake happiness after that either.
@classy, when you get on the cover of King, i’m gonna be so friggin excited for you that you won’t know what hit you… but i agree… draya acted excited when brooke first got the call, but when sean started talking smack about her on speakerphone, she got pissed… and brooke should have called sean out on it, bc it did seem like brooke only got it bc draya left. BUT, that said, when draya said that her being in a magazine is like charity work, i think she may have gone too far.
sorry for the crappy recap… i knew it was bad when i posted it… it just got so hard to find anything redeeming or even interesting.
LOL! I’d probably win the lottery before I was on King Magazine. I’m about 30 lbs too light for what the menS who buy that magazine like.
I agree about Draya probably downplaying it too much. That really hurt Brooke’s feelings.
Brooke and Draya? Meh..It’s the age old conflict between the \big boned\ and the petite and cute. Even though Brooke got the cover, Draya was the one that was preferred as evident by this King-idiot still talking smack about Draya, so Brooke’s victory was back-handed. Brooke is insecure and needed Draya to validate that she’s pretty and hot, and she is, but she also knows what the men will pick every time. If one is going to let a men’s stroke magazine objectify them, they need to have a thicker skin, Brooke.
@Madelyine27 You should get a prize for “peanut buttery voice”
The whole King Photo Shoot story line is just made up for the show. Maybe the writers got drunk 1 day and the cast wrote it.
You know that Sean guy doesn’t give a fuck which booty model left and which 1 didn’t. If he even noticed it enough to mention it he’d make maybe 1 remark to somebody else that works there. At the most they might put a note in that agent’s file. Because nobody’s going to remember either 1′s name for more than 10 min. 5 if they didn’t hook up.
Plus in real life the more pissed Draya was that Brooke got the cover instead of her the more she’d act like she didn’t give a fuck. She sure wouldn’t go on about it for 2 weeks. Making up stuff that sounds like some 7th grade class where the teacher tried to make them write a play.
