Old Spice and Doug are finalizing plans for their wedding and it gave me pause to think that they plan these weddings EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR. What a waste of time. And money. But I guess I’m grateful and I KNOW that the entire gay community is counting on this wedding to solve all the social injustices levied upon them. So, today is cake and venue day. They taste cakes and Old Spice interviews that she pretends to lets Doug make decisions, but that really she’s already made them all… and then I look at Doug and feel like he doesn’t give two shts about the wedding, he’s just excited to be eating cake.

I like lemon.           I like men. 

Old Spice asks him for his advice on whether he should invite the ladies to the wedding. He says that if it’s going to cause drama that she shouldn’t  But we all know that’s exactly why she SHOULD AND WILL invite them. It’s a pointless conversation because there’s no way VH-1 would deprive us from faux gay wedding lady drama.

Cut to a quick scene with Sister Spice and Scary Sister Spice walking down the street talking about Sister Spice’s upcoming trip. She’s heading out of town for a while and Scary Sister Spice wants to throw a going away party for her. They find a spot to sit and talk about inviting Old Spice and Sister Spice says that Scary Sister Spice just calls Old Spice up when she needs a laugh. Sister Spice says that Old Spice is going to ask Scary Sister Spice to be the maid of honor, but Scary Sister Spice laughs it off and says she better not because she may not even go and if she goes, she’s bringin’ it. Scary Sister Spice says it’s getting weird and that “she has her own plans for Old Spice”. (Yes, @featherhead, I heard it too and am so excited.)

 Maid of Honor? Not a chance.

Scary Sister Spice also mentions to Sister Spice that she told Gangsta Spice that she could rap and Sister Spice was like “ugh, don’t tell people that you can rap”. And I’m only recapping this because I love Scary Sister Spice, but she responds with her funny face and says, “What? I got flows for all these hoes. I kill.” Love. Her. Sorry.

Homewrecker Spice’s mom is dragging Homewrecker Spice to visit a psychic. Homewrecker Spice isn’t sure how psychics fit in with her religious beliefs, and I don’t know how “modeling” fits in with her religious beliefs either. But then again, I don’t know what her beliefs are, so I’ll assume that she makes it work for herself.

The psychic tells Homewrecker Spice that she puts a lot of pressure on herself and that’s she’s creative and focused. Homewrecker Spice is crying and doesn’t know how this lady was able to hit so close to home, and I want to whack Homewrecker Spice in the head with some sage and remind her that she was on TV for an entire season already, and maybe the lady just had a love of bad TV.

    Honored to be the first poster. I need to get a life! Anyway… Great job with the recap, so so so much better than the show. Yeah, Laura is growing on me and I didn’t want her to. The comic strip renderings looked nothing like Gloria. Could have been Draya, Laura, or anybody. The show stooped to a new low with the dancers. I’m so bored with these fools. Like one poster said, there’s so much potential with real story lines (Laura’s weight loss, fabulous homes, etc) but its just week after week of, meh. One more week, and I’m pretty much done with BBW-La. I hope it gets better cause I really like Draya. I hate Jackie’s psychosis. I see that crap everyday, don’t need to see it on escapism tv.

    @neecy, never get a life… Bc if you do, I might be forced to… And I totes agree about the story lines that we’d love. Laura’s weight loss is amazing. And even Draya living without her kid. And Malaysia having twins. Just insane that they think we like a bunch of lunches. Pls don’t give up on the show. I have so few commenters, I need someone to make my 5 hours of bball wives to matter. My only other fans are my nail techs and they don’t speak a word of English. (thank goodness). but they love me. (and my tips).

    I think Laura’s less fake than the rest of them. Specially if you’re grading on a curve.

    But I don’t think I realized just how much less fake till this episode. The scene you picked for her real emotion pic on page 4. That’s got another thing not seen on reality tv: A forehead that didn’t get a botox shot.

    I still think she’s prettier with some more weight on her though. If she felt too big before maybe compromise somewhere in the middle.

    Draya’s mom was on in season 1. But this is the 1st we’ve seen of her dad. I don’t even remembering her mentioning him. So for him to all of a sudden show up now. Without even any lead up scenes of Draya talking about how she’d been reaching out to him. Or wanting her baby to know him. I think you’re right. It stinks of somebody smelling some $.

    You might be right about Gloria not having much of a job before too. Didn’t she meet Matt when she was like 12 or something? And he just waited till she was legal to get her pregnant? Because it seems like last season 1 of their issues was that she hadn’t ever lived a grown up life.

    I believe Gloria is 24 and her sister isn’t much older than that.

    Mr.s Jackie is still wack a doo.

    I do hope things work out with Draya and her family.

    Laura you’re two faced It’s horrible. Jackie was wrong and you should tell the truth. Jackie has no right to talk to Draya the way she does and call her all those rude and nasty names. If you want respect you should give it. It don’t matter that you’re the grandma of the group. Laura you would not feel the same way if you were call out your name. And I think Draya can beat Jackie

    i agree that jackie treated draya v poorly. it was out of line. but jackie didn’t really call her a lot of rude and nasty names… she just kept repeating the same one over and over and over again… I haven’t watched last night’s episode yet, bc i am travelling; but i will be recapping it tonight and tomorrow.

    i agree that i think draya could take jackie. jackie may be bigger, but draya looks like she’s handled herself in a girl fight before. (like maybe when someone’s wife comes home and she’s still in the house… yes, i am just making that assumption.)
