Big Brother 14 Recap: Pandora’s Boobs

Hey Hey, Big Brother fans!  Are you ready for an HoH comp and some nominations?  Previously on Big Brother, Dan convinced everyone in the house that they were in an alliance with him, despite stabbing every single one of them in the back.  This just in:  Everyone in the house is fucking STUPID.

How are you still here????

We get a glimpse at what we missed during the double-eviction, and it turns out that Dan wanted to get rid of Ian, but convinced Ian that he was just a pawn and they were trying to get rid of Joe.  Dan told Jenn, Shane,  and Danielle that he wanted to try and get rid of Ian, so it’s only a matter of time before someone spills the news to him.  God I hope Ian goes after his ass, because as much as I respect Dan’s ability to play the game, I’m getting really bored of watching the entire house be too stupid to realize that’s he’s playing all of them.

No one can resist the hypnotic powers of the weird ass blob on the red shirt…

Once Ian won the veto on Thursday Dan decided to get rid of Shane, but then he pulls Danielle aside and tells her that he wants Shane out.  She tells him no, there’s no way she’s voting Shane out.  Then Dan throws her on the block without warning her first, which pisses off Jenn cause she wanted Shane out.  It also pisses off Danielle and Shane, and please please please, SOMEONE GO AFTER DAN.  Jesus.  After several weeks of brilliant game play I think Dan may have shot himself in the foot by winning that last HoH.

Danielle’s, “No one comes between me and my man” face

After Joe leaves Ian yells at Dan for not just getting rid of Jenn when he had the chance.  So let’s recap here:  Everyone is upset with Dan and Dan can’t play HoH this week.  Will it matter?  Probably not, cause these people are fucking idiots.

Jenn and Danielle seem to be forming some sort of Girl Power alliance, which Dan throws himself in the middle of.  Jenn’s useless, but at least she calls Dan out on being full of shit, and then storms out when he tries to do his Jedi Mind shit on her.

I’m tired of being lied to. I’ll avenge myself by losing at everything.

In the Arcade Room, Dan is freaking out to Danielle about how he thinks Shane is gonna tell Ian about Dan wanting him out.  He bitches to Danielle and pisses her off, so as soon as he leaves Danielle tells Shane that Dan wanted to put him up on the block.

My allergies acted up when I saw Dan’s reaction to seeing his wife. So adorable! All of the players have definitely been misted and can blame no one but themselves if/when Dan wins. I would love to see Ian win with Dan being second.

Ian is annoying. He is acting like the dorky kid that got in with the popular kids for a while and now thinks he is the king of the school, oh sorry, big brother house. His actions, the rocking, prancing on his toes and always standing on his toes leaning forward remind me of a lot of the super unsociable guys in my college computer science classes (I am not dissing computer geeks, it was my major). You know this time in the BB house is going to be the highlight of Ian’s life and he will talk about it anyone/everyone any time he actually talks to another human. I am sure his bunny stuffed animal is going to hear all about it every night. What really annoyed me was his comment that he can now be a coach since he is in the final four. Seriously Ian?

Well, since Britney was a coach . . . yeah. She didn’t even get to final four and was carried as far as she got.

@crankyguy – that’s true, plus Ian is a huge BB nerd. I heard that Ian knows all of the diary room backdrops from all of the seasons. And with The Big Bang Theory being so popular, nerds/geeks are trending. Maybe it is the fact that he is so young and acts young that make him seem not like a coach to me.

Yes, Ian is having the time of his life living his dream. He can’t help the way he acts, most people get that. I’m sure it’s more than ADHD and glad he knows how to calm himself down. The only bad point is he really does need someone to relay on and it’s Dan. Hopefully he can come out of the fog. However, I’d love to see Ian and Dan at the end with Ian winning. Love the stupid references to Shane.

I like the way Ian started praying to God during the competition.

Because God was looking down at him smirking and thinking: Wadda putz! Have you looked at yourself in the mirror lately, kiddo? I did this! And gave you tiny man boobs to boot! And now you want I should help you out in competitions?

And just to make His point, He forced Ian to watch a video of Boobs in full clown warpaint.

I’d be happy with an Ian win though — but he knows he has to take Dan to the final two. Danielle risks being too loyal to either Shane or Dan. Jenn’s a complete loss as a competitor. And Shane’s a complete loss, period. Ian can still beat Dan for jury votes, probably quite easily too.

Was anyone else wondering how they remembered which events happened on which days? I hated it when they had the voiceovers of them saying things like “the day baby zingbot was born? I’ll always remember that day, it was day 36!!”

@crankyguy, Britney came back based on personality alone. But, I do think her game play picked up this season, but her alliance with Ian did her in. I’m with you, @themiki, with hoping someone will cut Dan’s throat in this game. I can’t believe no one sees that by cutting Dan’s throat and sending him to jury, you essentially lock up the victory. Fucking morons!

Wow, now that I know I missed a Rachel appearance I’m glad my DVR cut out halfway through the HOH because of football runover. It’s funny that people like Jessie and Rachel are so delusional they don’t get that they have been brought in as a PUNISHMENT to the HG’s! As much as Dan’s gameplay impresses, I’d love to see Ian hopefully wise up and backdoor Dan, provided Dan doesn’t win POV.

I think the issue here is that even if Ian did backdoor Dan, he needs Danielle and Shane to vote him out over Jenn. Not gonna happen unless Ian figures out Dan’s Jedi Mind shit and figures it out quick! Now if Jenn won the PoV (hahahahaha) and it was Dan Vs Shane then there’s a SLIGHT chance that Danielle would save her man and it would come down to a tie-breaker decision, which would mean that Ian could knock him out of the game. Sadly, I don’t think Ian would do that even if given the chance, since he still thinks he and Dan are the New Renegades.

    God these people are dumb.

I think these people are going to look back and go “DAN DAN DAN” which is their fault. At this point in the game, Dan is the only one that deserves to win this season. I cannot believe how much the houseguest trusts Dan. Right now, I see Dan going to the final two with Danielle. They have been an alliance since the beginning and she is the only one that Dan has stuck by this whole time. He has played with her emotions, but it was for her benefit as well. I missed the nomination ceremony last night, so this morning I made sure to watch it on my Hopper with the Auto Hop feature. It automatically skips the commercials for me, so I got ready for work while watching it. The Auto Hop feature saves me time, so I had a chance to grab coffee on my way to work at Dish. If they don’t back door Dan now, they have no chance.

I like Ian, but I’ve always found extreme social awkwardness kind of endearing. Probably because I grew up in a family of home-schooled religious freaks and can remember my first year of public school (8th grade) and how terrifying and horrible it was. The kids that muttered to themselves and rocked back and forth like that were the only people I could talk to without feeling like I was gonna throw up. All the normal kids made me crazy uncomfortable because I felt like they would notice that I had no clue how to interact with regular humans and blow the whistle on me for being a freak.

Anyway, childhood trauma aside, I’m rooting for Ian because he seriously loves the game. He’s not there to promote himself or see his mug on TV or try and sell all his shit on eBay. I agree that Dan has earned the win… I really do… And I wouldn’t mind if he won. I just want to see someone make him work for it a little. Someone CHALLENGE the guy. I feel like I’m watching that episode of South Park where Stan coaches a PeeWee hockey team of five-year-olds and then they have to play against a professional NHL team and they get slaughtered mercilessly. It’s not fun to watch a competition if there’s no actual competition.

I know you’re not directing your comments at my recap (since I love Ian and don’t pick on him much) but you have to expect some ragging and insensitivity in the comments section. Ian clearly has some medical issues, but Ian put himself on TV. Just like the toddlers that get mocked mercilessly on Toddlers and Tiaras, being on TV voluntarily means you give up your right to not have complete strangers make fun of your quirks. Let’s not attack each other when we should really be attacking Danielle. Cause seriously… Something is wrong with that girl. Also Jenn, cause she’s bad at everything and has delusions of grandeur.

ugh, I guess it’s just me, coz I think Dan sucks . . .in one episode, he fucked Ian, and told everyone he was going to, then Ian saves himself, and he tries to fuck Shane, ends up fucking Dani and pissing off Jenn at the same time. The fact that shouty left doesn’t excuse his extremely obvious lack of loyalty to anyone.

With the bloody knife still in his hand, which he just yanked out of Ian after POV, he shispers, you have to trust me . . . Ugh!!!! With Frank in the jury to remind everyone he swore on the bible and his wife and then fucked him anyway, I just can’t see him winning, no matter who he is against.

Haven’t been on the forums since Friday, I’m a little afraid, but I will say that I hope Dani is tired of getting screwed and leads these idiots into some game play . . .

I find Ian kind of dorky cute, and I hope he wins!

@Wendi – if you actually read my comment, I only said that his rocking, etc, reminded me of kids that I went to college with. My annoyance with his actions (verbally) started after they formed the quack pack and he was the mole, he started to act like the king of the castle. Maybe I should put my comments in bullet point outline format as to not confuse you. I will give him this – his goodbye message to boogie was great.

When people pick on others physical characteristics (everything about Rachel/Boobs, Danielle’s face/make-up/weight, Frank’s hair, Boogie’s age, etc) do you go out of your way to call them a jackass and a bitch little person? What’s to say that Danielle’s routine in front of the mirror and all the make-up isn’t body dysmorphic disorder? Or that fact that Joe had to yell every time he was in an enclosed space (the diary room) wasn’t his way of coping with claustrophobia? By the way, using the term ‘bitchy little person’ is extremely insensitive to all people of short stature and someone with dwarfism.

@DGirl – Has Ian been talking about his ‘condition’ or even explained it to the house? Does he even have one or is it speculated from his physical actions? Or did you go out and find it somewhere on the internet? Saying that Ian is smarter and more accomplished than the people that have made any non-positive comments about him here is just showing how ignorant you actually are. You are calling us ‘assholes and losers at life’ for expressing our opinion about Ian, yet that is exactly what you are doing to us. And the fact that you have to resort to capitalization to try and get your point across is very childish.

Heh, crankyguy, I love it when we’re on the same team.

For the new people here — most of us come to TVGasm exactly for the purpose to rag on the famewhores who go on reality television. And as far as they’re concerned, it’s all pretty much fair game. If that doesn’t work for you, that’s fine. I hear People magazine has a great comments section.

On the other hand, attacking fellow commenters (or the recappers) is right out — we’re not here to snipe at each other. Feel free to disagree, but if you can’t keep it civil, there are plenty of other web sites where that kind of thing is tolerated.

I’m finding Ian VERY annoying now. Now that Frank and Joe have left, Ian has replaced them as the most annoying houseguest. Has his confessionals always been so arrogant as they were last night? He is clearly not the cute innocent nerd that the editing has hyped him up to be.

I’m not so sure that Ian would beat Dan in the F2, either. I’m not sure who would win in that scenario, it’s a toss-up:
Ashley may not vote for Ian since he betrayed her, and it’s clear that she didn’t feel the same way for Ian that he did for her.
Britney would probably vote for Ian.
Frank is a toss-up because, even though he was hurt by Dan upon eviction, remember that Frank isn’t exactly Ian’s biggest fan either.
Joe would probably vote for Dan.
Jenn would probably vote for Dan.
Danielle would absolutely vote for Dan.
Shane I’m not really sure about. The editors have been ignoring him for a while.

And this whole thing about Dan being an atheist: I’m sure he isn’t as devout as season 10 led on. Didn’t Jerry mention sometime in season 10 that Dan doesn’t even attend church? I say season 10 because his faith has pretty much never been mentioned this season aside from him swearing on the Bible to Frank, but who are we kidding, lots of people in BB (and in real life) do that all the time whether they’re religious or not. And don’t anyone dare judge him for doing that, because we all have lied and gone back on promises.

Anyway, he’s not as devout as season 10 led on, but I don’t think he’s an atheist either. He’s just your typical person who calls himself Christian/Catholic and maybe goes to church sometimes, but doesn’t adhere to the faith. This country is full of them.

    Sorry for the TLDR.

wendi, you silly bitch. May I call you that?

I use this phrase all the time! I say “wendi you silly bitch” in my everyday life! Who would have thought I would meet up with someone named wendi at a snark site? What are the odds??

I have had many spirited discussions here and never once have I called a fellow poster a bad name. Because, we just don’t do that here.

But, since “wendi you silly bitch” is part of my lexicon…….

As usual, TheMiki, you did a superb recap. Did anyone else vomit slightly when Shane kept pulling his underware out of his ass? One time he pulled it out and immediately shook hands with Dan? WTF? Maybe his thong was too little. I guess the saving grace was that at least he didn’t smell his fingers after he did it. Does he remember he’s on camera 24/7? Do you think Ian walks on his toes because he thinks it makes him look taller?

Ian walks on his toes because it is a characteristic of someone on the autism scale, mostly aspergers. Same with the other things he does. There are more children who are on the spectrum, smart, maybe a little quirky like Ian. I really liked Brittany sticking up for Ian when Frank was yelling at him, telling Frank Ian did not have the emotional fortitude to be able to handle the screaming. Also, I read that Brittany has a younger brother on the autism spectrum.

Hey, Chooch, I’m a rambling man… And I don’t want to deprive the folks on the main site with my pearls of …. whizz-dom.

Here’s my latest revelation (posted in the spoilers thread but with no spoilers involved):

Count me as someone who thinks Dan SHOULD win. I don’t know if he will, but in terms of what the whole game of Big Brother is, he’s the only one this season who deserves it.

As far as the whole swearing on a bible thing — it’s just a book, after all. Dan knows this. And he also knows that in the context of this game, giving your word means absolutely nothing. Dan’s taking advantage of people’s assumption that his religiosity = trustworthy, and more power to him. Just as Ian has taken advantage of people writing him off as a dorky, goofy kid.

And I’d venture to say that anyone who is competing for half a million bucks is most definitely not a christian. Or they’ve never bothered to read their damned bible.

But I’m not such a fan of Ian, mostly because for a student of this game he displays almost no gameplay — he’s only there because of winning a few competitions. I mean, I like it that the US version of Big Brother has these competitions and that winning them can affect the flow of the game in a major way — but just because you win them doesn’t mean you deserve respect for your game-play. (I liked Janelle the first time out because she was hot and she was an underdog the whole season but kept winning anyway — just like Frank, I suppose. And just like Frank, the rest of her game-play sucked. Which is why she never won.)

So, yeah, I don’t think Ian deserves to win, but it wouldn’t disgust me (like Boogie’s and Jordan’s and Boobs’ wins did), because at least he won a few crucial competitions.

Thanks Carol – I appreciate your opinion, you represent true wisdom. And for the record, Ian has discussed his condition during a heart to heart with Dan.

Should your children or any family member be struck with some unfortunate medical condition – I guess you would see it fit for someone like you to poke fun and be okay with it, because they feel the need to express their opinion – correct?

Ah yi yi. I think Dan & I are in a domestic violence relationship & I should probably seek counseling. I’ve loved him since his original season & I’ve always thought he was a master of this game. BUT..last week was not his best work. I didn’t have a problem with him getting Frank out, but the way he did it & gloated about it in the DR was kinda gross. Any other player would prob be stricken from my list of favs…but not Dan. The swearing on the bible, his wife, his first born, his football team, his school, his parents, his siblings, his nieces & nephews, his grandparents, his dog, his neighbor, his postman, his pastor, his butcher, his next door neighbor, his college roommate, his 1st love, his goldfish, AND his chain from a dead uncle?? Not ok & also..pointless. Any other player would’ve been cast aside, never to be heard of again…but not Dan. I think he may have cost himself the game by not getting Shane out when he had the chance. Dumbest move he’s made so far & any other player would be dead to me…but not Dan. So I feel like a battered woman who makes excuses for her asshole husband knocking the shit out of her over & over.

“Dan is a liar” Yeah but he doesn’t LIE, lie.
“Dan is a backstabber” Yeah but he didn’t stab them in the back THAT much.
“Dan is a cheater” He may be a cheater but he doesn’t cheat. He can be a cheater as long as he doesn’t cheat!
“Dan is using Ian” No he’s not! He’s just pretending to be in an alliance with him so Ian will take him to F3 so that’s not using him. That’s just…um…he just…because…IT’S A GAME! You fose to use people so he’en no user just cuz he’s using Ian!

See? Battered wife syndrome, right? I’m still rooting for the sick, slick ass bastard! *off to look for a shelter I can hide in until the season ends*

@Itchy, of course Dan SHOULD win, but if one of the newbies engineers his demise in the house, they WILL win. Going to the end with Ian/Shane will provide the biggest challenge for him, but if he goes against Jenn/Danielle, he’ll sweep again, I think. Also, won’t he win another $100,000 for “coaching” Danielle if she makes it to the end with him, so if Dan is truly doing this for Chelsea and his family, wouldn’t he drag that psychotic nutjob to the end? Doesn’t Ian, of all people, remember the coaches twist and wouldn’t that still be in effect, despite the reset?

If I were on one of these reality shows and somebody swore to me on anything–the Bible, his dead grandma, or whatever–I would assume he was lying, and the more things he swore on the harder I would assume it. And if he were claiming in addition to his swearing that he is following Christian principles, then I would remind him that Jesus said not to swear on anything.

Similarly, I have noticed over the years that when any small business makes a point in its signage and advertising that it is a “Christian business,” then it is best to assume that it is being operated by very dishonest people.

I thought the reset button eliminated the the 100k prize too. Wasn’t that the reason Booger gave for not pressing it?

@DGirl — If I had a child with an unfortunate medical condition I would do my best to convince them not to whore themselves out on reality TV. Actually, I’d try and do that regardless of their health, because people are dicks. How many times have we seen perfectly healthy, in-shape women called fat whores by bloggers and E! News? If you put yourself on TV people are going to tear you to pieces. That’s the price of fame. Now, if Ian wasn’t on TV and was just some kid I went to college with and his classmates were making those same comments to him I would be all up in their faces about exactly the same points you’re making. Unfortunately, he’s on TV, so he’s fair game. Sorry. Those are the rules that I made up just now, and it’s my recap so I can make up all the rules I want, dammit!

Good lord I would hate to see Danielle in the final two. There is something seriously psychologically WRONG with that woman. My extremely amateur (see: took some psych classes in college) armchair diagnosis is Borderline Personality Disorder with a side of Extreme Attachment Disorder and POSSIBLE Histrionic Personality Disorder. Chick is terrifying.

Some burning (like Boogie when he pees) questions as we near the end of BB13…

Is that a tumor sprouting on Danielle’s right eyebrow?
Do you think Jenn City has a crush on her? By the way is City her last name or is it because she represents all that is cool and righteous with being a urban broad?
Do you think AG will maybe put the Koran or Green Eggs and Ham in the house next season so the guest’s have something new to swear on?
Will Ian’s nipples get there own Hershey commericial?
Can Shane count to 20 (without help)?
Do you think Dan will invest in hairplugs or continue to sport forehead scarves for the remainder of his life?
Just a few things for my fellow Gasmi to ponder.

@Itchy, while I agree on lotsa stuff you write, I disagree with your reason for not being such a fan of Ian, namely, “mostly because for a student of this game he displays almost no gameplay” because being a student of something and doing that thing– well or not– are two different things.

Was at a ranch once and we all had to endure our own Ian, looked exactly like him, discuss horses, various saddles, all kinds of knowledge that kid could spout. First day out we crossed paths. He was leading his horse because he had no idea how to remount. Never saw him on a horse again.

But Day-mn he could sure talk a good game. A real student.

All Ian has to do is give us a DR session where he explains his master plan behind not putting up Dan — THE PERSON WHO IS STANDING IN THE WAY OF HIM WINNING THE WHOLE FUCKING SEASON — and getting him voted out, and then maybe I’ll back off on him a bit.

As it stands, he’s really just been manipulated by all the other players into doing what they wanted him to do all season.

But, okay, he wins this season’s Cuteness Award. And no doubt he’ll get the 25gs as America’s Favorite.

    Not correct.

If this was a support group for folks with the unfortunate medical condition, then I would be truly disturbed if someone poked fun at them and I am sure the other posters here would agree.

But, this is a SNARK site. When those reality folks signed that contract they were also giving us folks on the interwebs free reign to mess with them. Most of them forget about that unwritten clause….

While we are on the subject, Danielle has said that she recieved chemo and radiation for a benign mass. She said this on national TV. This is a type of misinformation that is truly unnaceptable. She should be ashamed of herself. Perhaps you should focus your energy on that crusade instead of giving us grief for commenting on a reality show at a reality show site.

    Just a suggestion. TC, Robin

@itchy ….that’s all I’m sayin,,juss give me one DR of Ian’s or the others saying they are even thinking about Dan…just ONE is all I ask…they could even be war gaming ALL possibilities including Dan and I would count it.”but nope..crickets…..the fact that they don’t even ONCE show me any signs of considering the possibility that Dan may be a threat (the fact that he’s won before should b a hint but he keeps dropping more clues- the Brittany eviction, the Jen deal, putting Ian up and askin others to vote him out,,wanting to go after Shane,,on and on) shows me they are idiots at the game AND also they have been duped.
They all still have time to come to their senses and make a move, but the FACT that they have not even considered it to this point is damming enough indictment to their gameplay

O and for the record…I still think the people who adopt and root for Ian because of his “condition” are more fnkked up than the people who rag on him and others for whatever reasons cross their minds at the time
My father was stricken with polio years before my birth and was wheelchair bound because of it. He just wanted people to treat him like any other person. In the real world, people are disks n assholes all over the place, no kid gloves, and I have faith in Ian’s abilities to deal with this as we ALL have to. To protect him is to say– hey he’s different, less than us, he can’t handle it– which as I said, to me that’s fnkked up and not treating him like a real person, that’s treating him as if he is disabled or less than normal,,Ian is different not less
n other news, Danielle’s “condition(s)” are far more severe in that she hasn’t even recognized them yet,let alone learned how to deal with em

As a feed capper I will tell you I was ready to take a road trip and steal that old freaking hammock that Ian soothed his nerves on. It sqeaked endlessly and as a feedcapper I wanted to tear him limb from limb. He didn’t rock there for a while and move on .. the guy spends HOURS on end everyday endlessly rocking and rocking. The Christmas GIFT to ALL OF us was a wooden hammock that did not sound like recess time on the freaking swing set. It has actually started sounding like an old creeking ship tied up on a pier. And you want to know something.. he took total ownership of that hammock. If two other people were laying in it gently rocking.. or even being still he would push his little ass up on them and start rocking like a mad man. I would have asked him to take a walk. they are way to nice in that house.

And a quick note.. the Houseguest who was evicted today and the new HOH has been revealed on Twitter.. even with a picture. It is all posted in the forums.. under this weeks spoiler thread.

I have no problem making fun of Ian — and I was a hyperactive superhigh-IQ kid with massive hyperkinetic issues. But I grew out of (most of) it (including the superhigh-IQ part!) and by the time I was 18 I was sort of aware enough to know when I was bothering others. Sometimes I even cared enough to try to put a lid on it.

Although Ian’s been lucky people are being so nice to him, because the reaction I got growing up was a lot more brutal, from kids AND adults. Of course, I wasn’t a dork — he’s definitely helped out a lot by that, makes him more endearing. And his condition isn’t the type of handicap one must wring one’s hands over. It can be annoying, sure, but it’s also tons of fun to have a brain that functions that way.

But the big difference between me and Ian is that I never went on reality television show with a 24-hour video feed. Anyway, he knows what he does and people’s reaction to it — it’s not going to affect him all that much when he gets out.

I’m much more concerned for Danielle, because she has clear emotional problems. She should never have been cast on this show. Boobs, at least, was able to transform her mental instability into a whole cartoon act. I don’t think Danielle will be so resourceful.
