Hey Gasmii! Can you believe it’s the season finale already? I feel like just yesterday I was ignorant to the practice of mudding and was unacquainted with the one-of-a-kind (thank goodness) Shain Gandee. Since last week, BUCKWILD has been renewed for a second season, so it won’t be long until I’m back with you recapping this mess again. But for now, let’s dig into this week’s craziness.
Last week: Tyler, Joey, and Shain took Katie, Shae, and Cara (respectively) on the worst camping trip ever, while Anna finally got a man at a fiesta she threw with Ashley and Salwa. Then Cara introduced the gang to her ex-girlfriend, which only put her in the position of fending off more advances from Shain, and for his part, he got his whole family to do all the work in setting up a candy-selling business for him. Oh, and Shain’s parents proved that they’re the coolest, and how on earth did they raise him, anyway?
Episode 11: Fast & the Curious
We begin in Charleston, and Katie is having a ladies’ beauty day with her mom. She’s telling her mom about Anna having a job at a tanning bed. Okay. And Shae apparently just got into nursing school – and I’m betting right now that if that topic is covered again, it will be in the context of Joey hoping to see her in uniform. Katie’s mom asks if she’s seeing anyone, and she reluctantly tells her mom about Tyler. As Katie describes Tyler, she gets really animated, talking about how great camping with him was, and how much fun she has with him. But then she tells her mom that there’s a catch: he’s really, really stupid. Her mom instantly sympathizes, saying she “can’t do stupid.” I feel like I could hang out with these two. For some reason, Katie asks her mom if she wants to meet Tyler, and she says she does.
Ashley is driving Tyler and Katie to go mudding, which is something Katie says she’s never done. Katie is appalled to learn that three whole people die every year in tragic mudding-related incidents.
We catch up with Shain who tells us with dismay that ever since Joey and Shae went on that one date, they’ve been “stuck up each other’s asses so far that they can smell each other’s lunch.” Charming. He is such a cockblocker. I bet he wouldn’t be threatening to hose them down if he was getting some action of his own. Katie and Tyler appear (not sure where Ashley is) to get this mudding trip on the dirt road.
