Arsenio and Aubrey head back to the war room and decide to mess with Clay and Lisa. Meanwhile, in the Forte war room, Lisa is actually calling on baby Jesus to let Arsenio and Aubrey come back, so the final four will be a fair fight. Really, she’s calling on higher powers?
I’m thinking her alliance is a little lower and she might want
to look down as she recites her prayers.
Of course as Arsenio storms in saying it was all bullshit, Lisa immediately knows it’s a ruse. There is a moment of celebration and Arsenio tells them it was a hard board room, because Teresa is a nice lady. Lisa argues that he really needs to see Teresa in action on the Real Housewives to know what a bitch she is, but Arsenio isn’t willing to form any opinion other than what he sees. I’m with him on this one. From CA, Teresa proved to be a hard worker willing to do anything requested of her. Granted she wasn’t the most brilliant competitor out there, and it’s only because she was tucked under Aubrey’s wing that she made it this far, but she really does seem sweet.
As they are celebrating their continued survival, the phone rings and Clay answers it.
Is doomsday upon us?
It’s Amanda on the phone, informing the finalists that Trump wants to see them immediately. For some reason, Amanda escorts them in to the board room this time. Maybe she had on an Ivanka dress they wanted to feature.
Or maybe they decided she should earn her keep.
Trump tells the four finalists that they will now be interviewed by last years winner, John Rich and runner up, Marlee Matlin. After the interviews, the two will advise him and two people will be fired. COOL!!!
This is Aubrey’s face as the information is handed down:
Buck up, little diabolical genius. Now, more than ever,
is when you need that unflagging self confidence.
The four head outside to wait for their interviews and suddenly the waiting room is as cold as ice.
No one is talking anymore.
Lisa comes on to tell us she wants to win this thing “gangsta bad.” She knows all their charities need money, but hers really needs it. Right now the only thing she can focus on is herself.
LL Cool Nay
The editing is a little wonky at this point, so forgive the back and forth.
Trump meets with Marlee and John Rich to ask them how being the finalists for CA has changed their lives. Basically the big thing is that they are continuing to be able to raise money for their charities thanks to the awareness created by being on the show. What is impressive is that John says he and Marlee raised a combined total of over 2 million dollars for their charities while on the show.
Holy kamoly, these two are hustlers!
Compared to that, our contestants have been treating this thing like a holiday. I wonder what the difference was in the way fundraising happened each season.
Trump asks the two their opinion of Aubrey. Marlee starts out saying Aubrey is beautiful, bright and passionate and Marlee likes youthful exuberance. But she says Aubrey was also very nervous. We cut to her interview with Aubrey.
Aubrey is speaking so fast the poor sign language interpreter can’t keep up!
Aubrey gives what would seem like an impressive run down of charities she has worked with: battered women’s shelters, refugee camps, children with AIDS in Africa, Nelson Mandela, the Dalai Lama, and Fidel Castro. Fidel Castro – is that what she just said? I’m sorry but I find it hard to believe that the girl who was just in my town to promote the opening of a tanning salon works with the Dalai Lama. Unless you count re-tweeting his messages as promoting his cause and therefore working with him.
