DiabolAubs tells Marlee that she chose GLSEN because she wanted to work with a smaller charity and she envisions herself touring the country telling people about how much she was bullied in school because no one would take her ideas. Marlee suspects Aubrey may not be sincere.
I’m liking this John Rich dude. His very first question to Aubrey was basically why didn’t she raise more money for her charity if PDiddy is in her rolodex. BWAHAHAHAHA! She has to admit they had a falling out, but John Rich seems to think that is besides the point. Wow, if this man can get even his enemies to contribute to his cause he sounds like an amazing beast.
John’s cutting right to the crux of the matter and asks why Aubrey has hundreds of thousands for her charity on stand-by instead of in the account of her charity.
Aubrey gets teary eyed as I believe she realizes
this guy is honing in on her biggest weakness.
She tries to give him her same wordy run-on sentence non-answers and goes on about how she’s never been manipulative, conniving or strategic – pretty much everything she was all along. But John Rich is a powerful man and can see right through her.
John tells Trump that he thought Aubrey was a chess player, albeit a transparent one. He says he felt like he was being played with, even though he was just sitting down to talk with her. John says she’s green. I think he’s right. In a few years, once Aubrey hones her manipulation skills and reigns in her “dontcha wish you were hot like me” ego, she would totally be able to win this thing. Unless she went up against John Rich. Frankly, I don’t think any of our players this season can hold a candle to this man. Kinda wish I had seen him in action. What was he like, peops?
Trump moves on to Clay and Marlee tells him that she adores Clay’s sweetness and love for his charity but she can’t tell if he is a leader. Both of them accuse Clay of playing it safe and John wonders if Clay’s nice boy persona will work in the down and dirty trenches of the final two.
You’ve only been project manager this many times.
John really nails Clay on this one, saying he should have been fighting tooth and nail to be project manager every time to get more money for his charity. Clay agrees maybe he could have wrestled people to the ground over it and John wants to know why he didn’t.
Maybe because I’m not a honky-tonk cattle rustler wearing
a hat large enough to keep me hydrated across the
Mojave desert. I’m gay. We don’t wrestle.
John tells Trump that he wonders why Clay would hold back instead of fighting for his charity with every breath, every day.
Sparky asks them about Arsenio next and John says he really likes his energy. But in the interview he’s giving Arsenio a hard time for only raising 100K, when he is just a little old country boy and he managed to raise over a million dollars. Arsenio says he’s been giving it 100% (thankfully he didn’t say 110%) but John Rich says he doesn’t look tired.
Dude, I’ve been dealing with Aubrey for weeks.
Do you have any idea how draining she is?
Marlee seems to know about Arsenio’s run-in with Aubrey and asks Arsenio how he got along with everyone. He admits he said some terrible things in the heat of the moment and Marlee says it is disappointing to hear. Ouch.
But as Marlee and John are talking to Trump, it sounds like they are going to give Arsenio a pass.
Sparky asks about Lisa and both agree that she has the toughness, passion and stamina to get the job done. Marlee says she talks a lot and is so loud, she can hear Lisa’s words, even though she is deaf. In the interview, Lisa tells Marlee she is emotional and she’s the Meatloaf of this year. I might just have to try to watch last season – sounds like there was some entertainment value there.
