Cheer Perfection Recap: Heel Stretches and Ann Kvetches

Shannon interviews that it was awful to hear Ann say that about Brooke, because Ann knows how hard it was for their family when they were going through Brooke’s back problems. Shannon says that Ann is lucky she has respect for the gym, or else she would have shoved her crutch up her ass. (Or something to that effect.)

Just duct tape Ann’s mouth, already.

We are at Ann’s house. She and Torrann are getting dolled up and Ann points out that she’s made a hot mess of her spray tan job. Ann interviews that it’s the day of the fundraiser and she doesn’t really care. She tells her husband that she didn’t raise any money (in front of Torrann) because she was too busy because he had been out of town. Her husband seems annoyed with her whining as much as I am.

Her maids suck at spray tanning.

 World’s hardest working button.

Shannon is at her house calling Ann. She’s still upset by what she said about Brooke, but she’s trying to stay focused on the event. Ann tells Shannon that she wasn’t able to get the tables that she promised. Apparently all those table renters that she knows were busy. Ann interviews that getting the tables was too big of a responsibility for her (but raising a child isn’t?). She complains to Shannon that they left too much on her to do, and Ann reminds her that she volunteered to do it. Shannon says she’s disappointed in Ann and Ann says that she didn’t have time because she has a life. She then interviews that she has to “take Torrann to school, then sleep until 12…”.

SHANNON, TAKE ONE PAIR OF GLASSES OFF YOUR HEAD PLEASE!!!!

At the fundraiser (which may be taking place in the world’s must rundown parking lot), all the booths are being set up. Kylie’s mom and dad show up with t-shirts with her face on it. Andrea interviews that they like embarrassing their daughter. Shannon arrives just in time to see Ann and Torrann show up in their bitching Cameo convertible. (I have no idea if it was a Cameo, I’m just assuming.) Shannon interviews that she’s trying to stay away from her.

Someone might wanna check the weight limit on that thing.

 Ann’s prom dress.

I hope they’re better at face painting than they are at sign making.

The first non-CTR shirts I’ve seen all season.

Michelle voiceovers that she can’t stand Ann and hopes she gets stuck in the dunk tank. Ann thinks Shannon should take off her braces and get in the dunk tank, but Shannon says she’s the good one and no one wants to dunk her. Meh. If them there is fighin’ words, then Sherwood needs a storage unit that teaches smack talk.

all Ann had to do was send an mass email to the parents on the gym list and she would have found tables asap. If that didn’t work a simple post on Facebook and she could have found some, ugh! stupid cow.

also, after an hr there was NO reason they should have still been doing a cheer off, how about some awesome repetitive motion injuries for ya? “tumbling” on concrete???? for real? especially after having “cheered” for an hour? stfu on that alisha, I would have pulled my kid, morons.

that being said, I think alisha is adorable and wish i could talk like her, I think she burns more calories in a conversation due to the extra syllables coming out of her mouth.

Bra intervention please!! lock and load the girls, my little boobies ache when i see these women.

I just watched this episode and my rage meter is at a 10. I think if Ann ever bumps into me in real life, she is going to die. WTF is wrong with that bitch!? Has she ever looked in the mirror?! Every word out of her mouth is that her shit don’t stink and she is Miss Princess, but why would she even get such an idea. She is fat as hell, unattractive, lazy, her husband is fat. They look like they have some money, but so freaking what? Use that money to go to the gym and do something with yourself instead of sleeping till 12 and running your mouth all the time. Having a good self esteem is nice and all but she takes it to magical fairy land level where she is some kind of beautiful Princess we all worship and you know, so far from reality.

It was funny seeing Sharon her former best friend dog her out, but Sharon is not much better. She tried to do a little heel stretch and hurt herself that badly? Really? Was that the first exercise she has done in 20 years? Then she sat there bossing her kid and husband around.

I feel like I am a bit of a slacker mom sometimes because I watch a lot of trash tv on my laptop while I ignore my kids, but these moms make me look like freaking June Clever. They also make me look like Nicole Kidman compared to how they look. DAYUM!

All I can think is Ann must be the spoiled daughter of a rich man and maybe in her day she was cute and little and Prom Queen. But then she had a kid and got huge but still never realized that she was not Queen Bee anymore. I am almost really really hoping that it is all a complete act because no one can be that horrible in real life! Sad thing is, I have met some real life Anns. So it probably is real.

I did not get the fundraiser because it seemed to just be the gym people there and not the community. So couldn’t they just have wrote a check for $20 or whatever and sent that money to the hospital and made just as much without all the work? I helped run the PTA fundraiser for my kids school and we raised a bunch of money in similar ways but the whole community came plus all the kids and parents at the school.

I loathe fundraisers most of the time. I would just rather write a check and be done with it. So much easier and often times you don’t actually raise that much more money doing all that fundraiser stuff than just asking everyone to pay what they can afford and collecting money that way.

I guess the good part about the little girls is when they fall in stunts they don’t have far to fall. But the spotters must totally suck because I saw Olivia going down on the floor multiple times. I was a spotter and I know that no matter what, the flyer never hits the ground. They are to land on you or you are to catch them. I was a good spotter too. One time we were trying a basket toss for the first time and the two ditzy bases just threw the flyer up and then stood there. Like did not try to catch her at all. So I saw her falling and I just got under her and let her fall on top of me because I could not catch her all by myself. She was fine. I was hurt. That is the way it is supposed to work.

Did anybody else catch the rerun of the T&T that they are on? The recap is titled “Stop jacking it to jesus.” or something like that… It was awesome after watching some of these. Bonnie was the director and Ann had her DD in the pageant and she even supremed. I’m thinking that there can’t be near as much animosity between them as they try to portray in this series.

And wow, leave it to the captcha to make me nostalgic… Big Kahuna Burger, Yum!

April- Yes Ann might be those things in your opinion. But to wish death on someone is not right. Michelle and Shannon are amazing you are correct in that and I’m not defending Ann in anyway. However to say “I think if Ann ever bumps into me in real life, she is going to die”. Is wrong and no way right. Please speak your mind because it is for the most part true in what you see. But never wish death onto another another person that just makes you crazier then her.

*whispering* I have a small shop in Sherwood. (I don’t live there though
so I’m not an expert) and one of the coaches lives in the apartments across the street from my store. He seems like a nice guy, but I only met him once when filming first began. I don’t watch the show but I finally thought I’d read a recap to see what y’all think.
I never heard anything about this fundraiser, and we’re usually asked to donate door prizes, etc, to every event in the community. However when they were filming at a pizza place in North Little Rock (neighboring city) that was all I heard about for hours. Honestly I’m a little surprised that there wasn’t more of a local buzz over the show.
For the record, Arkansas Children’s Hospital is incredible, and $500.00
is actually good *for the area*. Sherwood is primarily a blue-collar community.
Also, there actually are a couple of party rental supply places nearby which are family-owned and they do rent tables. Maybe that’s what she meant.

Shira: Have you ever heard of an expression? Or exaggeration? It is not a new concept.

I also did not say Shannon was great. I said she was alright. She made a fool of herself on national tv trying to do a heel stretch unattractively and then injuring herself from it. Of course I do dumb stuff like that when I get drunk too, so I can cut her some slack on it.

Michelle seems nice and I am actually super glad she beat Ann at the cheer off because Ann always could use being took down a peg or two.

By the way you are talking I assume you know these people in real life? Might not be the place for you here then because we are going to rag on them.

Thanks all for reading. @April… I know what you meant… not a death threat, but an expression… like this morning i was about to kill my daughter bc she was making fun of how my hands look old and hers are so youthful.

it’s nice seeing comments from the CP moms. it makes me realize that they do have senses of humor. bc i don’t want this recap to be catering to the faint of heart. i prefer the shock and awe approach.

@mell-o… your rave review makes me blush.

@estella – thanks for telling me which episode it was… i knew i had seen it, but i couldn’t remember which one… i think most old t&t episodes are on netflix, so i’m going to watch it again.

for the folks that don’t like the show… i personally am liking it more and more. i wish the kids were more involved, bc it’s fun to watch them and it gives a break from fighting. but who am i to say. i think they need a reality show where the kids fight as much as the parents… like a Dance Moms meets Real World… let Chloe and Madi verbally duke it out for a change… or Brooke drop Torrann during a stunt… i raised a girl… and they usually have plenty to say behind their competitors’ backs.

and @tapnfeet99, he does look like something. like he just misses being really good looking by some slight of DNA, but then he’s kinda hot from afar. like Patrick Swayze’s brother, Don Swayze… from afar he looked like Patrick, but up close you realize he’s missed the mark. FREE RD’S SOUL PATCH!!!!

as a former flyer, I hate when the flyer gets blamed for falling every time. I’ve had some horrible bases in my day (I say my day like I didn’t stop cheering in 2012). But if your bases are weak or not steady enough it can be a bit difficult to stay in the air. Some of the time it was my fault though… just not every time.
I can’t imagine cheering in that environment though. My mother hated cheerleading because she thought I was gonna die from being so high in the air so she was never around. The parents who did come around were very supportive and created zero drama. The drama was left to us teenagers/young adults. (I cheered in high school and college) My coach was a bitch but she was also very nice. she would make me cry during practice and then hug me and say something nice after and that worked.
I plan on putting my daughters in cheerleading if they’re interested, but I’ll be damned if I have to deal with any nasty parents like that. I would take my child out of the gym.

@Madelyne27, ‘Free RD’s soul patch’ is my new motto, and I will credit you every time I say it! ;)

Now I just need to see Ann get her ass kicked by the end of the season. I don’t care if it’s little Cambree, or baby Cranlee, or Andrea’s 2-year-old who does it. It just needs to happen!

All of your comments are extremely funny!!!!! But it’s just TV… Everybody can say something bad or funny about the parents on the show but it keep viewers coming back. I personally know all the parents on the show and they are all sweethearts, even Ann! Its just funny or good tv to keep you watching, most reality show are like that. These producers and editor show you what they want you to do and tell you what to say, and then they go back and edited it a whole different way. I do agree I wish the show showed more of the girls cheering but I also think if they did just show the girls with no mama drama the show wouldn’t be as funny and embarrassing to those mom!!!!

Ann may be a sweetheart in your eyes @Arkansas2013 BUT she seriously has some MAJOR mental issues going on! What they show on TV is EXACTLY what you get with her in real life! Total beeotch! I just went back and re-read the T&T recap from when Bonnie was the PD…I mean really, Bonnie must not be all the bad if Ann will do Pageants with her…

I think Bonnie is a crack up!

    This week look interesting…

I was shocked with the 500 dollar donation, but that seemed really staged! Like Really!! :) I mean, how can you forget something like that??

Yeah I bet Shannon had a bit much to drink with Alicia..I was totally waiting to see her fall…honestly, if it would have been shown, I probably would have laughed my ass off, then would feel bad for doing it, Sorry Shannon!! I know that is mean, but it is true! Hope you are ok now! Hell I broke a toe, and sprained my ankle walking down the stairs one morning in April…I was home alone when I did it!! My cats tried to come to my rescue, but that didn’t work out so well! Drove my self to the doctor to!

You know, I smell something fishy about Alicia’s and Ann’s girls being in this pageant Bonnie is running and then them winning. I went back and read that recap too. Kinda what I experienced with my brief moments with pageants. That the judges often know the contestants or there is back door dealings and favoritism, etc. I call shenanigans on that pageant.

I am fortunate to be at work alone today because this recap had me laughing hysterically. I loved when Alicia looked at Ann and said, “You know this is for kids, right?” I don’t know Ann but I have to think this is maybe a poor choice that she’s made or has been made for her with the way she’s acting on this show. Maybe she thinks its cool to be the one everyone loves to hate but just sometimes it evolves into the person just being the one people hate.
