We are at the Season Finale of Cheer Perfection. I can’t believe the 8 weeks are already over. The Youth Silver Team is practicing for the competition in Columbus, Ohio next week. If they make it in the top three, they will get a bid for U.S. Finals. No one thinks the team is ready. GO TEAM!
RD and Alisha come into the Youth Silver practice with posters. There motivational posters that outline the responsibilities of the coach, the athletes, and the parents. Everyone has something to say about everyone else’s role. I don’t think these posters are going to do one lick of good. RD says if they have an issue with anyone to let him know, just not right now. The one for the parents goes over like a lead balloon. Andrea thinks the posters are great idea. She doesn’t realize that she probably is the one that needs it the most.
My Posters For Dummies course paid off.
I bet the “E” is for “Eat”.
RD asks if they’re ready to practice hard today, they also scream yes, and immediately have the worst practice ever. Alisha says it’s the small things that screw them up. Practice involves a lot of Alisha screaming and the kids wandering around. Everyone’s falling and it’s not even remotely fun to watch. Shannon interviews that she doesn’t think Youth Silver has been doing well at the last few practices. I don’t even know why the hell she sitting there. Your daughter did a somersault, why are you even watching them practice? (Shannon quickly falls off of my list of people I like in this episode.) Andrea thinks the kids have gotten lazy because they keep winning without trying too hard. RD is completely fed up with them. He tells his daughter to quit smiling. (I think maybe you should all go read your “coach” motivational poster, RD.)
“I’m ready to practice hard.”
“Me? Not so much.”
Ann asks Andrea if her husband is going to Columbus with them and Andrea says that he is not as he found out they were taking a bus. Apparently it’s a 12 Hour Dr. Yep, that sounds fun. Andrea interviews that she doesn’t trust Ann at all. She thinks Ann is always scheming. Really Andrea? You’re one to talk. Shut up. Andrea thinks that if you use the bathroom facilities on a bus that everything just falls out of the bus onto the road. Mandy’s husband, Moe, doesn’t bother to correct them. Ann packs up her super biggie-sized McDonald’s drink and her sociopathic daughter and heads home for the evening buffet.
I like how Ann is “Torrann’s Mom”…
