Yo! Torrann. PAY ATTENTION.
Okay, who can figure out which group is struggling?
It’s finally time for Youth Silver to perform. They find out that Alisha will not be able to stand in front of them; that she will be off to the side in a box. Alisha worries that they can’t get through the routine without her in front of them. (Come on, all she does is scream “One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Eight”.) The moms have been texting Alisha nonstop telling her how amazing all the other groups are and Alisha hopes her girls can pull it together.
Wow. Michelle. Really? And a boa? Yikes.
As they do every week, Silver Youth gets out there and does a great job. They really look good. Towards the end one of the stunts almost falls, but they get her back before it’s totally screwed up. Alisha thinks they did a great job besides that one fall, but the moms think that they were off beat and not lined up properly. Mandy doesn’t think they did well at all. Alicia says she’s second-guessing herself because she thought they did really well. I even saw the little boy this time. That was new. Towards the end of the routine, Maggie was out front, nobody mentions it, but she appeared to be crying when the routine was over. I don’t know if she was hurt, or just overly emotional from the pressure. Over in the crowd we catch a glimpse of Brooke. (Hey Brooke. Glad you made it to Columbus, for absolutely no reason.) She won’t even bother to clap. If you’re gonna get a free bus trip to Columbus, the least you could do is clap. You have no room for smugness.
Looks like someone got into the Hostess Cupcakes.
“Did you see the Chinese girl, she looked like this.”
It’s called a sugar crash, Mandy. You will be okay.
The kids are all called down for the awards ceremony. They start with seventh place, and work their way down. When it gets to the top three and they still haven’t been called, they realize that they are going to get the bid for the U.S. Finals. Ann says that she thought they would come in fourth. But no, just like we would expect for reality TV, they came in first. Alisha and the other coach make all the moms apologize for doubting them and for saying that the routine wasn’t that good. They keep having Shannon interview, but I don’t know why, and she’s on my nerves, so I’m not recapping it.
