Chooch’s Finale Coverage: Revenge, DWTS, Idol, House & Smash!

We’ve had some really awesome season finales and there are more coming! I don’t even know where to start.

American Idol was everything it was supposed to be. Another dude won! With a name like Phillip Phillips, he HAD to win. A girl hasn’t won since Jordin Sparks back in season 6. I think she sings in Australia now. Read all about the American Idol finale right here from my friend PearlBlackDragon.

The show that excited ME the most was Dancing With the Stars! Once I was over the disbelief that Maria Menounos got the shaft (it was Derek’s arrogance), I knew Dyno-mite Don Driver had to do everything he could to win that mirrorball trophy. There is no way that he could let that Mary Poppins nobody, Katherine Jenkins, or that Cuban whoredog refugee, William Levy, walk away with it. It would be un-American!

Sure enough, the ebony gladiator tore off his clothes and showed those foreigners just who they were dealing with. I was never more proud to be an American. His country free-style dance was the crowning moment and it won the competition for him. I wonder what Cheryl Burke was thinking about that. I also wonder what Maks was thinking too. Peta Murgatrod only started as a pro last season and was the first one out last year and this season she wins it all. Poor Maks, always a bridesmaid, never a bride  and it “his show”! Let’s watch that winning free-style dance again with Cowboy Troy singing “I Play Chicken with the Train“.

Glee ended it’s third season with half the cast graduating from William McKinley High. The BIG question was “Who’s going to New York?” and “Who’s coming back for season 4?” The finale was okay, but I was much more excited and emotional over last week’s episode where they finally won first place at Nationals and honored Mr. Shue as ‘Teacher of the Year’. I was a blubbering idiot by the end of that show. I mean… Mr. Shue got LAID! What more can I say? As for answering those finale questions, of course Rachel goes to New York and they do this whole singing thing with her walking around NYC mesmerized. I expected her to start singing the theme from “That Girl” and then throw her hat into the air like “Mary Tyler Moore“. From all the gossip, everyone in the cast returns for season 4.

 How many of you are disappointed with Smash? I had such high hopes for this show and now the finale has let me down too. No, I can’t say that I didn’t see it coming from the first episode. I knew it was too much to believe that Ivy would ever get the part of Marilyn. She was just too perfect for it on that first show. It was an omen, as good luck and happy endings weren’t really Marylin’s thing. We are left to wonder if she really followed the same path as the real Marilyn. No, she didn’t, but that makes the finale all that more pathetic, doesn’t it?

I need to talk about House. After eight seasons on the air, TPTB decide it was time to put Dr. House out of his misery. They began by giving Wilson cancer and only 5 months to live. Great idea. I was totally into it. Then House breaks probation rules and has to go back to jail for 6 months and Wilson will die while he’s in jail. I called my friends and asked if they were watching. They said they had stopped watching the show years ago. I, on the other hand, had remained faithful, going with him to rehab and jail. The only time I bailed on him is when he started fucking Cuddy. I couldn’t tolerate it and apparently, neither could she, because she left the show and refused to even return for the finale.
