Hello everyone! As we get closer to the season finale, I am getting the impression that they are trying to cram as many revelations as they can into each episode.
We open at police headquarters where John Ross and Elena are talking. Elena asks John Ross what he was doing in the hotel room. He explains that it was the person pretending to be Marta del Sol. He doesn’t mention the whole ‘we had sex and she videotaped it’, though. He just explains that Not Marta stole her phone and pretended to have her. They are interrupted by a female cop who comes in with pictures of the crime scene. She comments on the scratches on his neck, saying that it will probably be a match with what was under Not Marta’s fingernails. John Ross asks about the camera, but the cop tells him that there wasn’t a camera in the room. John Ross doesn’t understand why. Explain to me how the hell he doesn’t understand this. He didn’t push Not Marta, so someone else probably did. It could be the Venezuelan thugs that he sicced on, but that’s just a guess. Gee, maybe they took the camera instead of leaving evidence for the cops. Again, just a theory. The cop dramatically announces that he under arrest for the murder of Veronica Martinez (aka Not Marta). We are treated to some slow-motion mug shots accompanied by dramatic music.
He’s a little too ‘pretty’ for jail, if you catch my drift.
Next, we are at the prison. There isn’t a sign or anything, but we know it’s a prison by the barbed wire at the top of the fence. John Ross is in a very attractive orange jumpsuit talking to Sue Ellen. She tries to get John Ross to tell the police any information that could help him, but John Ross doesn’t want Sue Ellen to get involved. He also doesn’t want her to call J.R.. I mean, his dad is obviously busy with his strange massages and pedicures. Let’s not bother him with his son being arrested for murder.
Christopher is dropping Rebecca off at her apartment. I’m a little confused as to where they are coming from. It’s night time, so they aren’t coming from the doctor’s office. Who knows, they evidently wanted them in a confined space, so let’s just go with it. Rebecca wants to know where they are going to go from here and Christopher tells her that he will be a father to his children. She clarifies that she wants to know if he can ever get past what happened, but he doesn’t know the answer to that.
Bobby and Ann are meeting with the sheriff about Not Marta and John Ross. He lets them know what he has found out about Not Marta. Bobby is angry with J.R. for bringing someone like her into their lives. Elena comes in for coffee and is worried about John Ross and how she can help him. Christopher tells all of them that John Ross got himself into this mess – that if you play with snakes enough, you will get bit. Christopher goes outside and flags the sheriff down. He wants him to run a background check on his wife – Rebecca Sutter. Not like he would need her social or date of birth, but why nitpick.
She’s the brunette. What more do you need to do a background check?
If you like it, spread it!:

I thought Tommy was a little too agreeable to Ann’s job offer. I mean, like he’s just going to be all nice and “Thanks, that’s great”? And that kiss at the end had me totally grossed out. I don’t know why she just doesn’t tell Christopher that Tommy hacked into his computer and is stealing info; it’s not exactly a lie. But I think it’s too late for that, if she tells him now he’ll just be even more suspicious. And I LOVE how the Ewings can just ask for things that normal people would not be able to get, i.e. the background check. Classic! Yeah Sue Ellen is pissed at herself, but if the Dr. has been writing prescriptions to dead patients (I missed that part) what is she worried about? I loved her slip in front of the cop “See, just when you think things are bad, it’s ruled a suicide!” Uh, that’s not what the cop said, careful! Love your recap, I was waiting all weekend for it!
I had suspicions that Tommy and Rebecca weren’t really brother and sister!
Couldn’t the ME re-open the case and rule it a homicide?
Cosmonola: You would think so. A man in that position should be able to do that. New evidence comes in and it happens in other cases.
