Sue Ellen is pissed that she resorted to blackmail when she didn’t actually have to. She takes John Ross home, where he is greeted by Elena. Once they are there, she gets a phone call from the medical examiner. He lets her know that even though John Ross was innocent, Not Marta was killed. There were defensive wounds, so they ended up letting the actual killer go.
Christopher and John Ross have a touching scene where Christopher tells him that he realized that all they both want to do is please their fathers.
I’m guessing this won’t last, but it’s sweet while it does.
We have yet another scene with Sue Ellen and Ann talking about crossing lines and being mothers. We get it, Sue Ellen is trying to be good. Ann is holding on to memories about some child she had. Next story line, please.
Bobby gives Christopher the background check the sheriff dropped off. He shows up at Rebecca’s door and tells her that it was clean. He wants to try with her but there can’t be any more secrets. She reassures him that there aren’t any. I think we all know that’s a lie, but whatever.
After Christopher leaves, Tommy shows up. He saw the email the guy from Exxon sent Christopher and knows that Christopher is going to be rich from his research. Rebecca tells him to get out and he kisses her. She is disgusted and he asks her if she is so deep in this lie that she believes they are brother and sister. I’m really glad he followed up with that, because I was really grossed out there. Of course, we end on this revelation. Rebecca is obviously their go-to for dramatic endings.
It looks like a lot of shit is going to go down in the next two episodes, so it should be pretty exciting! I will see all of you next week!

I thought Tommy was a little too agreeable to Ann’s job offer. I mean, like he’s just going to be all nice and “Thanks, that’s great”? And that kiss at the end had me totally grossed out. I don’t know why she just doesn’t tell Christopher that Tommy hacked into his computer and is stealing info; it’s not exactly a lie. But I think it’s too late for that, if she tells him now he’ll just be even more suspicious. And I LOVE how the Ewings can just ask for things that normal people would not be able to get, i.e. the background check. Classic! Yeah Sue Ellen is pissed at herself, but if the Dr. has been writing prescriptions to dead patients (I missed that part) what is she worried about? I loved her slip in front of the cop “See, just when you think things are bad, it’s ruled a suicide!” Uh, that’s not what the cop said, careful! Love your recap, I was waiting all weekend for it!
I had suspicions that Tommy and Rebecca weren’t really brother and sister!
Couldn’t the ME re-open the case and rule it a homicide?
Cosmonola: You would think so. A man in that position should be able to do that. New evidence comes in and it happens in other cases.
