At South Fork, the family is meeting with Lawyer Lou. He says that the blood splatter is enough to drop the charges on Bobby. How in the hell is Ann not in jail. She walked into a police station and said she shot someone. They just let her walk out – and without any shoes? Lou tells them that Ann will plead not guilty and the defense is going to be that she was provoked.
ONE MONTH LATER! I can’t believe they’re going to let a whole month go by, but we get to fast forward to the trial. The whole family is at the courthouse and Sue Ellen comments to John Ross about Christopher and Elena not being very discreet. Holy Shit – Pam is finally showing. It’s about time considering she’s in her 13th month. The first person called to the stand is Judith Ryland (aka mommy). She basically tells the jury that Ann is a liar and a whore. Lou finally remembers something from law school and points out hearsay and bias. Mommy isn’t happy when the judge dismisses her, so he has a bailiff remove her.
John Ross calls Clyde, his private investigator, who is trailing Drew. It seems Drew is hauling some questionable cargo and Sue Ellen put a morals clause in Elena’s contract. This applies to her employees, so if Drew messes up, Elena is pretty much screwed.
Lou apparently missed the conflict of interest day in school, because he is talking to Pam about being a character witness for Ann. Seriously – she faked her identity, possibly killed someone, and screwed over the whole family – but you think she would be a good character witness. Christopher is not happy about this, but Pam tells him that Tommy abused her when she was pregnant and he needs to stop vilifying her.
Pam finds John Ross outside and thanks him. She knows he told Cliff about JR and Frank. John Ross says he was just protecting their business arrangements. She tells him that her father doesn’t think the two of them together are a good idea. John Ross is all about defying his father, but Pam doesn’t go for it. Am I the only one that likes them as a couple so much better than Christopher and Elena?
Clyde is still trailing Drew when he pulls into a barbecue joint. When Drew goes inside, Clyde scurries over and busts out Drew’s taillight. He cowers on the ground with the broken pieces when Drew gets in the truck. It’s nice that Drew doesn’t check to see if there is a person lying on the ground next to one of his tires. Safety first!
JR is watching John Ross at the courthouse. Sue Ellen comes up and asks him what is wrong. She tells him that she gave John Ross Cliff’s phone number and she wants JR to forgive John Ross.
While waiting outside the courtroom, Bobby and Christopher see the Venezuelan drug lord being led out of a room. Bobby is irate because he killed Not Marta and is going to go free. I had no idea he cared that much about Not Marta, but maybe he should be concerned that the guy wants Bobby’s whole family dead. Just saying.
If you like it, spread it!:

This show is soooo deliciously cheesy, outrageous and completely over the top – I love it! I used to watch reruns of Dallas in college with friends every night and they were so freakin’ hilarious and this is even better! So much ridiculousness!
My favorite part was when everyone was surprised that Ann was found guilty after admitting that she shot him and giving the cops the evidence that they needed. Had Harris taken Emma 20 days ago, that provocation defense may have worked. 20 years and a new marriage into the Ewing clan? Yeah, no. I’m starting to think that Lou got his law degree in prison and his first clients were all the inmates that “didn’t do it”. That is the only reason I could think of why he thought that would ever fly anywhere.
It just hurts to look at Elena and not in a you are so beautiful it hurts kind of way. Eat a damn sandwich!!!
