Dallas Recap: The Backstabbing Continues

Home

The annulment hearing is like two children being questioned on the playground.  Christopher whines that Pam lied.  Pam says that Christopher took her toy.  Blah, blah, blah.  Pam’s lawyer points out that she legally changed her name and cut ties to Tommy.  He also stresses that the two reconciled after Christopher knew she wasn’t Tommy’s sister.  Score one for Pam.  They call Real Rebecca to the stand and she testifies that Pam didn’t lie and was trying to do the right thing.  Christopher throws a tantrum and the judge tells him to calm down.  Maybe a juice box and a time out would help.  The judge ends up ruling against the annulment and Christopher runs after Pam as she leaves.  She tells him that he should have taken the deal.  When she gets in her limo, John Ross is waiting for her.  John Ross tries to talk her into giving her shares of Ewing Energies to him.  I’m almost losing track of who is stabbing who in the back.

At the golf course, JR is having lunch/drinks with the State Attorney.  JR not-so-subtly comments on any skeletons that he may have.  The attorney tells him that he doesn’t have any.  Which means that JR will, of course find something.  PIs don’t make money off of people that don’t have skeletons and we know what the PI game is like in Dallas.

Bobby meets with Harris and wants to know where and how Harris found Emma.  Nobody really expected him to cave to Bobby’s demands, so of course he doesn’t tell him.  Why in the hell would he even ask him?  Best case scenario is Harris telling him and it’s a lie.  Come on Bobby, wake up.

Christopher is whining to Elena that he is sick of playing by the rules and he never gets his way.  Did he really think that he would get full custody of his kids because their mom lied to him?  Elena tries to cheer him up by telling him about the oil wells she bought.  It seems that they are on top of methane, so this is a definite score for them.

Back at Barnes Global, Frank is unhappy with Pam.  He tells her that her plans are nothing but a spoiled girl’s revenge.  Frank tells Pam that he knows who she shared a ride with earlier.  JR arrives and Frank leaves so that JR threaten Pam.   He lets her know that if she goes against Ewing Energy she will be going up against him.  Maybe he should communicate with his son, who is trying to nail Pam in another way.

Super sleuth Bobby heads to the stables where they saw Emma.  See, this is where he should have hired a private investigator.  Conveniently, nobody there remembers her.  Right before giving up, a whole 10 minutes later, Bobby sees the horse that Emma was riding.  After some pretty heavy interrogation  Bobby finds out that the horse is from London.  I don’t really get the significance of London, but it will probably pop up five episodes down the line when we discover that Pam is actually British.
